Respect to Jonathan Davies from an Englishmen I remember watching him back when I knew naf all about rugby he always seemed passionate about Wales on the Beeb or Rugby and crucially fair. I would be talking about maybe anywhere from 2007 to 2010/11. Massive respect to Jonathan Davies.
When Wales hosted the RWC in 1999 I saw Jonathan Davies in a pub after one of the matches, had a chat with him for 5 mins, what a Down to earth Gent who would spare the time to talk to anyone and everyone. He was, and still is a true hero to the Welsh Rugby public. I watched and followed his days in Rugby league and indeed became an avid follower of League thanks to many like John and others who went North. He was a visionary and years ahead of his time , a small guy BUT a wizzard on the pitch. Go take a look at his first game for Neath , looked liked a small boy and he lit the game up ! Pure class and natural talent !
He really is a legend. I went to see him talk at a local rugby club a good few years ago and he was hysterical. What a sense of humour and a great rugby man.
For me one of the greatest players ever and what he done for cancer is unbelievable, should be made a SIR in houours list for the money he raised for cancer over 50million now a true legend on and off the rugby field ..
Privileged to say I watched JD live at Headingley Stadium in the early 90s and mid 90s when he played for Warrington and Widnes against Leeds RL before Super League era came in
Maybe an idea to ASK him to dissect a few of his memorable games AND tries he scored. The one on debut, vs. Scotland in '88, THAT TRY at Wembley and the RWC SF vs. Australia in '87. People who'd sit through 90 minutes of Jiffy would sit through another 90 of him analyzing specifics.
The biggest issue for me has been the change of media coverage. Whereby the connection to teams and players for me has been lost following BBC losing Scrum V in respect of relevant Regional rugby and then with the changeable channel coverage of the 6 Nations. Thus i have lost investment in players whom I used to get to know and follow in Regional Rugby and subsequent lack of interest in the national team to the degree previous to these changes.
Love Jonathan Davies. He was a great player and hes a brilliant pundit. He has great knowledge about rugby.
Respect CC. From🏴✊👍

A Welsh man at it's finest! Lucky enough to be a member of the same golf course. Such a normal man always has a smile and a hello in him 🏴
Absolute legend and the best pundit out there

Top Bloke.
Hill Crest Hotel…. 😂
Showing your naivety - Cardiff beat the All Blacks before Llanelli did 😂
Great from Jiffy though 👍
Cracking podcast but sonde was bad at points
Again failed to mention the fact that Newport also beat the All Blacks. And a better All Blacks side than Llanelli beat.
