Listening to this podcast after Sunday's win over the Boks is amazing. Quade mate, you deserve every bit of success that you're enjoying now. You had the courage to question where you were in life and reassess yourself. To see how you've matured as a man is something everyone can learn from. Respect.
As a maori man from a small town called huntly sport is a way out, see bro all the media here in nz just portrayed you as a villain , thanks ice for the podcast with quade, it cleared alot of misconceptions that we had of quade , if i had of known this earlier i believe the public would've supported quade more
This is one of my favourite poddys by far ice! Loved how you let him talk and tell his stories without interrupting him but then intervened with a question or another story of your own, letting him further express himself! He’s an icon of australian rugby and you really did him justice here lad! Also your interviewing skills have gotten so much better since your first few! Keep killing it lad 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I like how Cooper opened up with coaches giving horrible advice rather than telling you their true intentions. You know youre a good coach when you tell players what to work on and how to work on, and being transparent (letting them know their not getting picked). I use to get loads of bs from coaches, I just had to dig deep and back myself. :-)
Appreciate this poddy! The bro Quade was huge growing up! Damm right the ARU version of Benji and Carlos! Love the honesty, discipline and stories in this chat!
First of ill just like to apologise to Quade. I was one of those haters right up until this day 3/1/20. Sorry my uce. Very uneducated in your life story. Well done on this interview guys. And i wish you all the best in the futur. you have gained one extra fan my bro. 🙏
Im a maori from Gizzy but live in W.A and Im a huge fan of yours Quade, Ill admit tho I havent always been due to my misunderstandings, but the more Ive learned of your story over the years, the more and more I appreciate you all your achievements and who you are , much respect and Aroha bro to you, you have a meke whanau and your mother seems like a top notch lady, like one of my own aunties kinda lady, ..my son is 7 now , born here in Oz and he idolizes you bro watches all your vids and imitates your sidesteps, your skillz are undeniable, it wouldve been interesting to see how much greater you couldve been in a black jumper or with a team that compliments your style of play, IMO if you were an Allblack you would be considered a super Legend in the discussion table of today, all the Best with rugby and life Quade, churr... remember this .when my son makes the big time he for sure will be mentioning you in the interviews cos he plays just like you , great interview, thanks for posting
What an awesome, informative podcast. I honestly didnt want it to end. I lived in aus for 20 years before coming home. Quade copped a lot. Glad hes doing good now. Really honest and great insight from quade
Kia Orana Isaac, this pod will blow up as soon as the international media gets hold of it. There are some excellent moments of grenades and real heart to heart stuff there with some big names and versions of historical events brought out into the open from Quades perspective of course. Well done mate.
re Cheika 1:00:43 he was the BM (business manager) for some kiwi lady named Collette Dinnigan's (CD) clothing brand, where he was fair but was tough during negotiations and wouldn't put up with people's rubbish. Then he left CD and started the clothing import business Live Fashion that was also the exclusive distributor for a jean/denim brand that Victoria Beckham made famous.
Great pod! Love how honest Quade is. I found the reaction to the Richie incident as abit overboard. Things happen in between the lines that should be left on the field. I wish the ARU hears this pod because Quade details everything that's wrong with it. Poor managment who are sensitive and shortsighted.
Always respect for you Quade, what happens in the field these fans will not understand respect to you win at any cost ,what you suppose to do stand there and get bullied from Richie🤷🏽♂️ as a rugby player I understand we kill each other in the field but brothers and have few beers outside it 🤜🏽🤛🏽and if people can’t understand that then they don’t understand the beauty and the uniqueness of our game ❤️❤️i came to nz from the islands to seek a better life and now playing in Europe us P.Is always have your back bro cause we understand the struggle and same as my maoris brothers here keep inspiring our people bro stay positive and god bless you💯🙏🏽

Faaaark. This is epic how close you guys were. Such a small world. 3 legends. Thanks for sharing the interview. Looking forward to seeing you 3 together having a chin wag. I’m sure you guys have some great stories as youngins
wow just watched this and amazing poddy theres something different about listening to union boys talk. Would love to see more of them jump on the poddy. Always wonder what would Australian Rugby look like today if they managed Beale,Oconnor and Quade properly.
Great podcast has given me a real insight into the real Quade Cooper. We watched him play for the Wallabies last weekend for the first time in 3 or 4 years and they beat the Boks, what a performance. I can understand now why he appreciates SBW so much. His journey his growth and his day to day routines and perspective on life is inspiring . You do the ‘mahi ‘ and combine that with focus and discipline it pays off. Quade talked about a few things in his post match interview…..being a better man etc I thought was admirable . Malo usos🤙🏽
Watched the Bambam & Pedro episode then this. Your interview style is A+ & I really like how relaxed & open all three were. Good shizz bro, keep up the mean mahi!!
Man I hope Quade comes over to the NRL if there’s ever been a time it’s gunna be the next few years. Think he’d be so good throw a 6 on the man & let him play 🤙🏼
Bro hands down this was gangsta. Reality podcast at its finest my uce. Well done Ice & shot Q on keeping it REAL. Literally the players voice podcast 💯👌🏽

Don't worry about the haters bro, not all people in NZ think that, some who understand rugby and things happen on the field know that's where it stays, your skills did the talking...
Quade played Rugby league at Springwood state high school in Logan City.. back in 03 04 when I stayed in Brissy I remember watching him play against Woodridge state high school in the final of the Logan district at Logan brother's rugby league club good rugby league schools going at it Quade played well that day I wonder why he didn't mentioned that lol na mad vibe mad interview
Sad that Quade didn't mention his early rugby league days in Logan... playing for Springwood State High School against the tough ruggered Woodridge State High School remember watching them game's

Hey mate, great podcast. Whats the tag line of the bloke that can Quade follows for stretching? Its around 52 minutes when youre talking about SBW and knee injuries. Cheers
Good podcast and interesting to hear his thoughts. I got the impression that he thought most of the issues he has had was not his fault when usually its probably a combination of both parties. So overall it hasn't really changed my impression of him.
I remember tok hi and forest view had one league match and on the 80 min forest scored on the side line and Quade cooper had to kick the conversion to win he needed a tee but tok high wouldn’t give it to him so he made a hole in the ground got Leigh manu to hold the ball because it was windy . And ol mate got the ball over the post to win I was stunned and guttard at the same time bkoz I wanted tok hi to win
It funny seeing how more more engagement the union players get on your podcast yet you never pushed further into the scene. Could have been what set you apart from BIAB and others.
Not once have I given quade the time of day since the richie incident.. fuck me dead what a top bloke you actually are brother complete 180 over here, hektic story bro
I have always admired Quade and despised how some cunts turned on him. II just liked his style of play and body language; didn't know the man from a bar of soap. Now, I know why I have always held him in such high regard.
I was one of those fans that would yell at you at games, especially the one at eden park when you got sent off for the late tackle to Aaron smith. I just want to apologise for my actions Quade, you are a good person and I want to say sorry bro. All the best for the future in your career.
Noticed that SMH digital comments section saying in general "typcial Quade, blaming others and not taking ownership", if you as the host could have asked him the question "so what do you have to say to people that say you are blaming others for challenges you faced?" might have saved him a bit of hassle and heat he is copping

the best was the bro asking questions when he already knew the answer. Let the bro tell his side, perfect interview technique.
