It was Stapleton in 2015 and now it's Larry Fleet stepping in to keep country music authentic. I know you got to sell records but I know most of us would be more than alright with an album of just you and the guitar. Don't let them executives bring you down, you're doing everything right and more.
That's where I think he shines. Just him and his guitar, unpolished perfection.
I know it's trendy to shit all over people wanting to sell records but ultimately people buy what they like, so if nobody is buying it then it means that it's just not that popular.
I prefer this as well but the executives aren't all three headed monsters who want to ruin everything just to get rich, they just want to make money from what's popular, arguably the most American thing there is
I bought 2 $35 tickets a couple months ago for a show of 1000 people that was barely advertised and I was 10 feet away. Thank you for your amazing music Mr Fleet. Future Hall of famer right here

Artists really need to do this more often. This is very reminiscent of Morgan Wallen’s The Dangerous Sessions (huge fan of that work) and Cody Johnson covering Gary Stewart and The Dixie Chicks. These are almost always masterpieces.
