Same here. The only thing I had watched of BTS until that point was their BBMA performance of Boy With Luv with Halsey. I wanted to watch the performance again but could only find fancams. But then I learned they performed Boy With Luv on SNL so I watched that performance and then watched their Mic Drop performance after that one. While I love Boy With Luv the Mic Drop performance sold me. And I probably continued to watch BTS content for 12 hours straight the day I discovered them. It's been 2 years now and I'm so happy to be an ARMY. I was supposed to see them in Chicago at Soldier Field for the first in June 2020 but Miss Rona ruined those plans. Are you excited for Butter?

They did achieve what the Beatles did. And therefore bts is the best boy band ever. Not diminishing the talents of other boy bands that I loved and grew up with, but I have not loved a group of boys that are younger than my own sons more than the bangtan boys. Their massive success and incredible talent are only surpassed by their own personalities which are down to earth and humble, and honestly good people around. That is what I appreciate about them

I think Bangbangcon from last year and this year should have been honorable mention. Letting ARMY experience that incredible live concerts from. through the years for free as a gift and thank you to ARMY who donated their refunded concert tickets to covid relief is so BTS. Also their MMA idol performance with traditional Korean choreography and performers melded in with modern pop/rap was epic.

I respect their perseverance, work ethic, and how they engage with the world...as contributors rather than contaminators. BTS gives. To their art, to their craft, to their fans, to their production crew, to organizations fighting the good fight. They add value, whether its amazing entertainment, or a stronger, serious message. They use their platform, their celebrity to add value to the world.

I honestly have too many to even count. They have literally stopped me from killing myself several times for 7 years. Knowing that BTS achieved all these accomplishments and will continue to achieve from how hard they had it keeps me going.
The main thing that makes me adore BTS is that though they struggled through numerous obstacles they overcame them as individuals and as a team. They are an incredible example of persistence and following your own path and being true to yourself.
The very very first time I fell in love with BTS and became an Army since, was during their Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. It was a bit late, but I dont care. I knew them already since that day. Can't wait for this pandemic to end and go to one of their world tour!!!!

I strongly disagree that the grammy nom is the best moment. the grammys are an US award given by a handful US industry people to their own friends and peers. it doesn't award excellency in music but the biggest western industry plants. I take awards voted on by music experts like the KMA's or the general public like the AMAs every day over the Grammys.
Oh my gosh seeing them goes from literally nobodies in Korea to now is literally the best feeling in the world 😭 I never imagine that they would ever get THIS famous. when i first seen them on the Graham Norton show and I freaked out cause I was like omg I love them and then seeing them on Jimmy fallon first time I was so excited because they were reaching all over the world
I think their MTV unplugged had to be top 5. Their cover of fix you was great but the way they found a venue to reach everyone with live performances of their BE album tracks when they still resonated so strongly during the pandemic was brilliant and powerful in concept and execution
My favorite moment is 2016 mma and mama, because that where the world started to take notice that they are destined to be great, their fire performance was on another level this is were the bar was set. They broke the industry's mold, and build their own path, created their own table and began to pave their own way, for me 2016 is where it all began to take form.

I think their MTV unplugged had to be top 5. Their cover of fix you was great but the way they found a venue to reach everyone with live performances of their BE album tracks when they still resonated so strongly during the pandemic was brilliant and powerful in concept and execution

My favorite moment is 2016 mma and mama, because that where the world started to take notice that they are destined to be great, their fire performance was on another level this is were the bar was set.
