I have a spur on my sacrum. Painful when I do sit ups, so I have to use a foam cushion. the spur developed after I broke my tailbone, which now sits in a horizontal position in my pelvis.
I need both hips replaced and I have arthritis in my lower spine. Now I am sitting a lot more and another problem for me is that I can feel knots on my tailbone. I'm very uncomfortable when I sit. I can't find anything on the internet about a person feeling bumps on their tailbone or knots. Have you ever heard of anyone with the symptom?
Thank you for informing me about bone spurs. Is there any reason why a spur develops on the last segment of a tailbone? Also, why does it most often grow backwards? Could have to do with a pull from a ligament at its tip that then connects to the posterior part of the anus and/or the end of filum terminale and/or rubbing on the skin?
Tailbone Pain Doctor : I went to an index in a book by the late Dr. Prof. Heinz Feneis and found the anococcygeal ligament plus illustrations that show it. Yes, we had the same ligament in mind. Thank you. I opt though for my suggestion 3 of 3 in my earlier question, because concerning a heel spur, one can see on X-rays, that it extends in the SAME direction as the ligament. In your video you showed a spur on the dorsal side of the bottom bone within the coccyx. That means that particular spur developed in the direction of a SEAT.

My tailbone sticks out 2 inches so looks like a tail sticking out, it has 2 big bumps that is about 1 inch that pokes out and moves and clicks when you press on it or when I'm moving, it's creepy to touch, as you can feel it thought my clothes, but it's agnoy and my hips hurt and click also, I'm on a 3 year waiting list to see somone about it where I live :( constanley taking pain meds or asking for tailbone massages plus the pain travels down my thighs and legs and into my feet :/ any advice?
I have a question. Is it common in a 23 year old? I can’t even do sit-ups right now because pain in my tailbone hurts really bad when moving back and forth

Also it’s not only when doing sit ups it’s web. Sitting for awhile and it even hurts when laying flat on the bed. I feel like the pain radiates
