That Mega Man X2 victory theme was on point.
There are patches of grass in every single level, finding all the secrets that are pointed out by the grass opens the door. They are less secrets and more of an easter egg each but finding them opens the path to Boom Boom.
Just wanted to say that you did a superb job on the level design. Lots of creativity, and you can tell you put a great deal of work into it.

Do you have to find all the grasspatches before you beat the final level??.
@@TeejWithaFeather can do it whenever. Just find all the secrets and open the red door below the final level.
What is the world 2 overworld theme? I could swear I've heard it, but I need that song back in my life.
I might be wrong but I think every level has a secret that you need to find, to unlock this red door
