Its an interesting thing about SMW cape physics, when you fly and land with a slide, if you catch a vine in that state, it will preserve your flight status until you get off the vine, so as soon as you jump off the vine, you can take off again. Its hard to explain, but that's kinda the basis for it. Hope this helps. :)
