In this review, I’ll discuss three key factors that I believe make a tire worth buying for your electric skateboard. Mboards nova tires-www.mboards.co/collections/al...
Finally, someone put some meat where it counts! I enjoy running pneumatic tires, but sometimes having to run on the shoulders on the streets has left me with flats and also appreciating the thane even more. I'm glad to see a tire that might stand a chance!
Man this was one of my biggest gripes with pneumatics. I was always getting flats unless i ran a tire liner whoch sometimes would cause a flat if not done properly. So yes, its sooo nice being to ride for hundreds of miles and not have to worry about everyboieve of glass on the road. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🎉🎉
🎉🎉🎉 love that cross cut section, really shows where the Novas excel, Also love that opening shot of you carving looks like a awesome ride and fun place carve . Great video can’t wait to see you in a few weeks ! 🎉🎉🎉

These may find a soft spot in ur heart 🙌🏻🙌🏻 the square profile gives you more of the traditonal sk8 feel verses the circle profile tires most use. I think ull really like them, u get em in 150&175mm???
*Nice to see a SINider Cut of the a Nova tyres* ⚡️🤟🏽🤟🏽⚡️ Whilst I enjoyed the other reviews, it was good to get a look here at a cross-section of the different tyres. These are sure to be a new favourite amongst AT aficionados 🤙🏽 Lol Jacob photobombin in the back 😂 Great design choices, the man knows his stuff 🤙🏽
I love my 7 inch novas on my acedeck nomad N3. I wanted to try the 6 inch. Are there pros and cons for using a smaller tire aside from getting more range? Not sure if I would have enough clearance on the N3 with the 6 inch but I wanted to try them out
These wheels make a board look massively better. Ive seen some boards in am not a fan of but with the novas on them it makes em look mean and not like a skateboard with scooter tires 😝
Il like look of your boards and how far they go but the only thing I do not like is how long it takes to change up to 12 hours is to long when will you do a challenge with a shorter changing time? Then I may be interested 👍
Thanks for the review. Love the cross section comparison. As a heavy rider I'm concerned about the max is 36 psi. I'm used to riding up to 45-50 on Hotas for efficiency. 36psi 😂would surely kill range. What say you? Thanks in advance
Completely understand the concern, it was among one of jacobs concerns. And him being a bigger dude(6’4” 250) hes runs 37ish on the 7” tires and has noticed no noticeable range loss with the novas on his personal setup. 35psi on these is like 50 psi on other tires due to the(i think) real natural rubber compound and square profile. And with them being 7mm thick, u shouldnt have to worry about punctures running max psi.

@@SinCityEsk8I ride 200mms almost exclusively so I'll probably be one of the first to buy a set when they drop. I imagine they will be approaching the top speed rating if put on a endurance 2.0 plus.
Not sure why but I have been getting a lot more flats since using the Novas. It could definitely be due to bad luck but I've never seen anything actually puncturing the tires and tubes, but the tubes just goes flat. I think it might be a pinch flat but I've been very careful with putting tubes in, using tire talc and all too. I've had 3 flats within 1 month compared to 0 flats for 3 months before when using the 150 sunmate tires.
@@BN99239 inside the inner walls of the tires there’s a stamp with a number. Over the stamp is a hard piece of plastic. Sometimes they get missed but i usually remove all of them. Check your tires for those. Ull see the little numbers theyre usually yellow or white. And is it always the same tire going flat??
@@SinCityEsk8 So far, it's just the rear tires, but I haven't kept track so not sure if it's always the same tire on the rear or not. I just took out the tube on the one that recently went flat and saw the sticker! Kind of difficult to take out since I can't get my fat fingers inside at the right angle to peel it off but I see what you mean. WOW if this is what's been happening, you've just saved me a lot of money on replacement tubes and headaches during rides when I get a flat! Thank you!
@BN99239 i am sooo sorry bro that i missed that tab. There soooo small and sometimes i miss one and sometimes theres multiple in every tire 🤦🏼♂️ and when i have to personally check every tire and at the same time send out massive amounts of orders i can miss them. And yes i believe thats ur culprit, make sure u check all ur tires, real quick and once again sorry 😢 and lemme know how that works out for ya🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thats a complicated answer, strap in for a long one. So these tires being all, real, pure rubber and also being 7mm thick with the flat 50mm contact patch CAN create more rolling resistance. BUUT since theyre soo thick, you can run max psi and still not worry about punctures and minimize that rolling resistance. I didnt do extensive range testing but in minor wh/mile testing that i did, i usually get any where from 22-38wh/mi on pneumatics of course depending on temperature, wind, gradient and how much i stop and go or am just moving at top speed. I noticed i was getting around 32-36 wh/mi but its also the back end of winter and been super windy so im not sure if those numbers are skewed or not. From what i can tell there shouldnt be a massive range loss, maybe a couple wh’s/mi depending on of course all of the variables stated before.
Don’t you sell these with Evolve Pulleys, so I have to first buy an Evolve Pulley Kit from Evolve then I can buy the Nova Complete Wheels & use the Evolve Pulleys.
Someone who only does offroading probably wouldnt like these. They can handle some dirt but if its thick poofy dirt, theyll drift forsure. I’d say these are street pneumatics, not really ALL TERRAIN tires imo.
@@SinCityEsk8 thank you! Yeah I mostly ride street but sometimes I'll cut across grass or dirt and rocks. These should be fine for those occasions right?
Naaaa not at all. Sometimes theyll tell us to get off the “strip” but otherwise theyve got waaaaaay more important things to worry about here than some dudes esk8’n 35mph down the road. Infact, ive had cops pull up next to me while im at a light to play 21 questions 😅😇

That would be the standard time with a 2a charger. All the boards come with 5a chargers which more than cuts that time in half.
