I think this tire is gonna suck down the battery pretty good. Wider contact patch=more friction and if it’s softer at all that’s also more friction. That being said these tired look nice and I want to get a set for my Lacroix or maybe my Acedeck as well. By the way that interstellar is a good looking board. I’m hoping they make a larger Battery version of it even if they have to make the deck bigger.
The grip is stupid. You can basically go perpendicular still early, but the noticeable wear seems nonexistent and you would have to actually puncture these to puncture them. The 6 inch even at 50 psi have no bounce as compared to normal pneumatics. It handles most bumps and curbs with Angle to them and Can go downstairs but any bound trade off is made up for stupid stability and it’s no longer the wobble issue. Something else would be the weakest link. Basically great but I might get the 7 inch because the 6’ are so low profile they’re shockingly different from standard pneumatics. Hopefully some bounce with the 7 inch, but overall love these tires basically tremendous🍀
I Really want to pick these up but after my first experience on the HOTA tire i have gotten at least 1 flat tube every single ride ive gone on. i really want to love pnuematic wheels but after this idk if i wanna try again lol
These are much thicker material than the Hota and other AT if you watch the video from Mike at Mboards they do a side my side cut comparison and you’ll see how much rubber is on these wheels.
Looks great but are there any downsides to these tires? Honest question, just wondering if there is a reason not to switch to these. I have the 150mm tires from Mboards right now. Are they a little less carvy or anything at all?
Dude enjoy the wheels you have now and when you wear them down grab a set of the 6” Nova! Put miles on your board and I’m sure when you switch you’ll love the new NOVA set!
Hey I’m looking for a set of all-terrain tires for the Nyx z3 for more street use would you recommend these over the acedeck/Hota vacuum tires ? They look pretty similar are there any advantages or disadvantages of one set over the other besides the fact that you can run the hota’s tubeless ?
i will order them. This board is amazing but the cloud wheels on asphalt just dont cut it. on concrete they are amazing but asphalt is another thing. @@DrewElia
The thickness of the natural rubber is 3.5mm thick vs Hota system is 1.5-2mm of tread so much much better wear resistant across the entire wheel. Not just the center like you would get on a sunmate wheel. I use mad105 v2 on my board and was getting 24-27wh/mile of range and when I put the 6” Nova on it was 37-38wh/mile so typical in the AT performance area.
They are different, if you haven’t check out esk8unity review he does a direct comparison to the acedeck wheels they are different with the deeper mm tread and the profile
I have a Kaly XL50 the 1st. Want to ride tomorrow in Manhattan? If so hit me up. Lunch on me if you come. I completely understand if you can't either with the family and all. Let me know.
Dang I wish they made a 8inch version as well fingers crossed
Coming soon…
Looks like you got and answer
Just got the 8in nova and they are awesome. I got them at 31psi but I think I'm going to deflate to 28psi
you just certified a fact that smelling tire is intoxicating😂
Correct
Yes ill def wait for the 8 inch!!! 🤙
Love these wheels
Dam and we have the endurance 2.0 coming in april well at least to be announced then.
If only I had a Smell-O-Scope.
Nice review.
One day they will “get on that Elon!” 😂 thanks for the support!
Absolutely love your videos man, I might just grab a set for my Pivot GT soon!
Go for it!
Nice to see. Great review mate. 🎉
Glad you enjoyed it I can’t wait to see you
*Exactly what AT riders needed*
🤟🏽⚡️⚡️🤟🏽
Great to see they offer 2 sizes. 👌🏽
That carvin, daaaaamn, "GRIP!" Scared me 😂
You already know! love how grippy these wheels are! just a pleasure to whip it around and combined with those nexus trucks just a fun ride overall
Not really for AT, for off-road riding you need knobby tyre tread this tread will offer zero traction on grass and dirt.
@@rmarlin No, you should get a mountainboard, this wouldn't be for you. Good luck
Ive found so many 6" & 7" tyres to be out of balance from other brands ..Its a huge relief when street wheels go on...
Nothing like a good urethane wheel my man I agree. 😂 love my thanes

@@DrewElia Thats true i did see that video and they look super rad!
is the Nova wheel compatible with the N3?
The 7inch would stretch nicely on there, they are mounted up on the mbs xl rims

The Nova 7inch is a great tire, I wouldn’t go less than than becuase of ground clearance!
@@DrewElia So I take it they will mount fine on the Acedeck rims ?
Thanks
Do you know if I have to change pulleys and belts for a Verreal rs if I order the set of 4 Mboards has on sale for $134.
If your pulleys don’t fit the wheels than you’ll have to order new pulleys. Belts would be if they aren’t long enough
i will order them. This board is amazing but the cloud wheels on asphalt just dont cut it. on concrete they are amazing but asphalt is another thing. @@DrewElia
Yeah cloud wheels newer wheels are the best they done in my opinion. The older style were not what I wanted in a wheel
More contact patch = less distance and faster wear. Am I wrong?

Bro they look just like Ace Deck tires, especially the thread pattern
And those are not the best...
@@Steven-qm1xo love mines. Can be run tubeless or with tubes.
@@Steven-qm1xo and these look like a copy to me

I’ll definitely make it out to the city soon on the Saturday group rides for PEV NYC! They are a lot of fun, hope you come to one of those as well!
