Officially starting off 2024, we make a repeat of the year 2023 in that the first area visited saw us going back to Hanover parish to present to you another update of the Princess Hotels & Resorts Jamaica! This is one of the newest and most talked about development to hit the parish of Hanover, in the town of Green Island. This is our fifth (5th) time at this location and subsequently our fourth (4th) update of this Resort.
Having a total of 23 Hotels in the Caribbean and worldwide, Princess Resorts is one of the most popular franchise in the Spanish-speaking countries within this region. They have Resorts in countries such as: Mexico, Dominican Republic, Punta Cana, The Canary Islands and also Barcelona. This inclusion if the first of its kind in the English-speaking Caribbean and they have graced our shores with an inaugural entrance in the Hotel and Tourism industry with one of the largest Hotels on the Island!
With the promised opening date of February 1, 2024, we received a huge amount of request for an updated video leading up to that time, with our last update being in November 2023. We made our trek very early as we were also anxious for the new developments and to observe how close to being ready, if ready, they were for February 2024! Work is still on the way and from the video you will see how far along they have come since we last visited.

Great progress in Green Island. Just hope the government will go in partnership with these developers to provide funds to improve the infrastructure and roads in these areas being developed. It puts a strain on the local infrastructure to supply increased demands on everyday needs like water, power, communication, and roads that these projects affect. Simple things like your projected time from Sangster's International to this resort are more speculative than reality since the Mobay bypass is projected for 2025 finish, and the Hopewell bypass and Lucea bypass to get around those towns constantly clogged with traffic are still talk.
Very true, and in lucea there is another road (where I live) very very bad (blenheim way) but it’s also a bypass since it leads to the cove bridge which is very very close to princess💯
I booked the Princess Over The Water Bungalow . First time staying in one, and will possibly be the first person to stay in it. Im hype‼️

Very disappointed opening was delayed, hopefully we get there next year!
The number of moving parts that need to be coordinated to get a massive hotel like this to open on schedule is making my head hurt just thinking about it.
But construction is certainly progressing steadily. You'll certainly be kept busy covering developments, @droneseyeview, since even more are due to start in 2024.
😊 imagine how the developers feel. They are progressing smoothly and we hope they can make the new deadline. You are right! Certainly lots to do for the next few months!

Thank you so much for this update! I’ve been anxiously waiting on this vlog, thought they would have been much further ahead being that they wanted to open this Feb. Any idea who is the contractor and where did they get the sand for the beach construction? I’m thinking it’s probably mined enrich limestone. We have plenty of that on the island.

Green Island doesn't have much of a beach if remember correctly from driving by on my way to Negril.
Well this company make a beach. Hope them no get in trouble for the sand lol
You don't know Green Island, Some of Hanover's best beaches are in Green Island.
You no see anything yet there is a hidden beach in green island sand white like snow its not visible from the highway is hidden by bush between orange bay and green island hanover have the best beaches in Jamaica

Yes that area is safe .but like all area one need to apply common sense.

They were given permission by NEPA to mine sand from Negril area which was cheaper than importing it from the Bahamas as was originally planned. So badically they would be dredging the sand from offshore, nor taking it from the beaches. I think I know where you were going with this. Remember Coral Spring in Trelawny.
