- In 2013, alleged gang leader Todd Ashker, was sitting in a windowless prison cell in solitary confinement - and he had been there for 25 years. Living in conditions he described as torturous and inhumane. But after deciding enough was enough, he and three other prison leaders from all different gangs, did something that had never been done before. They formed an alliance - and together they organized the biggest prison strike in American history.

Absolutely it’s cruel and unusual punishment. I did 2 weeks in the hole one time and that was hard enough I can’t imagine how hard it was for them.
One time i got locked inside my garage for 15 minites. That was hard time

Money. People divided by race are easier to control. You have gang leaders at the top who want segregation in order to maintain control and keep the money coming in for themselves. if everybody came together their would be no heirarchy and it would be an absolute shit show.

Remind me again why we care if they eat? Provide them with food if they don't want to eat that's on them. Sounds like a win-win for the taxpayers.

I do. Most are there for non-violent offenses, and most have families who care for them dearly. Further, many are there for bullshit drug offenses and don't belong there to begin with. So yeah. I care. And so do many others.
