the 7mg had only one problem... head gasket failure, and was easy to repair. change the gasket and torque the head bolts 90ft/p instead of the factory 70ft/p. after that, you have a very reliable car
Only problem the 7M motor has is the factory head bolt torque settings. If you retorque the headbolts to the revised torque settings they can handle 300+whp all day long. There aren't that many 7Ms still running around on the original headgasket anyway, so most will have been retorqued by this point in time.
the 3000gt one is a little bit misleading lol. The naturally aspirated 3000gt base/SL will run in the 1k~3k range, but if you want a 3000gt VR4, expect to pay more like 7,000+ for one in running condition. Sometimes early 91 models run for under 7000, but their internals aren't quite as good as the later years. Also, that's just for the 91~93 models, anything after 1994 will fetch quite a bit more, typically 10,000 or more.. Take it's grey import clone car the Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo, 91~93 models will be slightly more expensive than the mitsu counterpart and for a 2nd gen 1994+ Stealth RT/TT.. good luck even finding one.
yeah a 1st gen VR4 isn't too expensive, I have seen a few for around 5k lately. later model ones or stealth twin turbos can get into the 5 digit range really quick though lol
I'm in southern california, so I'm not sure if that changes anything but I rarely see them below 5k in running condition. Anything below is either wrecked or doesn't run
I think the the 2.5RS is one of the most sought after Subaru among enthusiasts. It only weighs like 2800lbs and subaru's are legocars so doing a STI engine and drivetrain swap is easy and makes these cars quick little monsters.
Dude I love your channel, you should do a vid about some of the differences, advantages, and disadvantages of Jdm cars and American cars. Just a suggestion, keep up the good work! 👍🏼
1997-2005 Buick Regal GS, fun, super cheap, reliable, and a sleeper, supercharged 3.8 v6 240hp stock, with a aftermarket supercharger you can get close to 350hp on stock internals because it's one of the most reliable engines ever in my opinion
3000GT base or SL will be in the range stated however the VR4 (most of the clips of the 3000GT in this videos) will set you back at least 6k, upwards of 10k depending on condition, but you can find sketchy ones for 4k-6k.
Just an information correction. The Integra comes stock with a 1.8L engine. The RS, LS, SE, and GS trims comes with a B18B1 making 142 bhp and 127 ft-lbs of torque. The GSR trim comes with a B18C1 making 170 bhp and 128 ft-lbs of torque. Finally the Type-R trim comes with a B18C5 making 195 bhp and 130 ft-lbs of torque. No Integra came with a 1.6L engine. Just figured I'd share that so you knew.
I have another recommendation the 90-93 accords are ridiculous fun With 130hp and 140lbft with 2800lb car it is decent handling and decent acceleration Although you can get them to be much better
The only DSM cars that are worth buying are the 1992-96 GSX, the Eagle Talon, and the 3000GT VR4. But, because the 3000GT VR4 is so expensive and rare (especially one with a manual transmission), the best thing to do is swap the engine from a Galant VR4 into a manual Eagle Talon or GSX; which is equally as difficult to find with a manual transmission, so I definitely recommend looking for an Eagle Talon. The result should essentially be the same car.
Only thing I can say about the Mk3 Supra's is to be aware of headgasket problems if it is still running the actual 7mge or 7mgte. Other than that they can be great drifters or track cars and plenty of mods are available too!
all that needs to be done is to torque itright, my cousins ran great until it through a bearing because he never checked the oil, and the 7mgte he put it ran good until we t- boned a fj cruiser, and I'll bet money it runs.
Great vid just thought that I'd add that the Del Sol Si doesn't come with 160hp, it comes with a vtec d16 which makes 127hp, the Del Sol VTEC trim came with the b16 VTEC that made 160hp
Lmao nice! My dad took his lexus is350 in to the dealership for a quick maintenance and we got given a IS 300h.... Honestly considering it. The acceleration is immense xD
Integras 1.6? I realize some Integras came with a B16, but the motor that everyone has, and the only one available in the US is a B18, which is a 1.8. And no B series motor has less than 130bhp.
The foxbody number for the 5.0 are the most choked version. Foxes from the mid to late 80s made 220-230 hp stock and made 300 something in torque. And they dirt fucking cheap to build a 302 windsor and easily make 300-350 hp with 1-2 grand of motor work or even possibly less
Yo! no way, I was thinking to myself that they should include the Z31 because of the affordability and capability and I actually saw it recognized for once :')
i felt in love with the mkIII Toyota Supra science i saw it at my pops friends house witch he offered me the car at 1000$ USD and im a buy it...I cant wait to fix it and drive it :3
volvo 740 had in line motors so I highly doubt the first video had HEADS and not the head upgraded there aren't multiple heads on that car. Correct me if I'm wrong. That body Integra came with a 1.8 not 1.6.
These have to be base model automatic transmission prices. You will not find a 3000 GT for under $5k even if it needs work. By the time you put money into a stock 3000 GT, you could've saved some money by buying a VR-4. These prices are extremely low.
Sorry but the 3000gt was not made to compete with the SVX, the SVX's are garbage slow (15.4 in the 1/4), the SL 3000gt N/A does the 1/4 in 14.5-14.8. Also the 3000gt kept right up with the Supra's, r34, rx7, nsx,and 300zx's and it actually beat most of those. Also the Twin Turbo's only came AWD but people have done TT swaps in the FWD's.
1000-3000 for a 3000gt, sure! but if you want one that can actually put down some the power, you want the vr-4, and that just knocked it out of the "cheap" car category.
I got a 2003 Buick Regal LS for free, didn't take much to get it running, and I beat a 2014 mustang stock (mightve just been a a cylinder eco-boost though)
I seen a grandma in a 3000gt i used to work for auto zone she kept that mf so clean and it was a vr4!! she brought it brand new I was told, yo boy was so jelly
you have you integra info wrong the b18b1 is a 1.8l nonvtec engine making 140hp (and thats not to the crank) the gsr or b18c1 is a 1.8l vtec engine that makes 176hp (its the engine Miles from English Racing used to beat that twin turbo audi) and the type r or b18c5 makes almost 200hp
Had 3 3kgt's NA and Boosted. Both fun and hoes love em. Most scrap yards don't have crap though , maybe the stealth peeled off a pine tree good luck salvaging.
japanese are masterminds of cheap fun great engineering
Living in India multiply by 64
living in KSA multiply by 4
JDM changes to CFGE
thanks for putting the thing in letting people know that cars in the clips are modded. keep up the good work
if you live in Belgium just multiply all the prices by 5
iThomas
Yeah the 3000GT is like $17,000 in Australia lol
Cheapest I saw was 13 k , but that's a 1990
lol i bought my 3000gt for 1k in New Zealand, which is around $700 usd and $950 aud
X c o s m i c x there is no way you got a well running vr4 for 1000$ you probably have an sl or base model both are slow
the 7mg had only one problem... head gasket failure, and was easy to repair. change the gasket and torque the head bolts 90ft/p instead of the factory 70ft/p. after that, you have a very reliable car

Just watched for the 3000 gt's freakin love em!!! Can't wait to get mine tuned up
Leland Hadsall what year is yours? I have a build series on mine
Jursaw Its a 95
Those have the 6 Speed tranny right? Check out my videos to see mine

I'm in southern california, so I'm not sure if that changes anything but I rarely see them below 5k in running condition. Anything below is either wrecked or doesn't run
same here in Iowa
Kobrakai I bought my 1991 VR4 for dirt cheap! Check it out on my channel

KALI1080 yup. I swapped mine with a full sti swap
Will costs more than 10 k USD a rs with a sti running gear
Ben Chesterman it's totally worth the money though.
yeap $15000 for a rs-ti
KALI1080 if you live in rhd markets you can go and buy a gc8 sti without having to swap an engine
im working on building a 3000gt vr4 to be as fast as a stock gtr im going for 600 hp and weight reduction
Hype Tempo good luck
+syed hamza HA! right
Hype Tempo LOL YOURE DUMB
Razehyh please explain why I'm dumb?
lol no your not
Dude I love your channel, you should do a vid about some of the differences, advantages, and disadvantages of Jdm cars and American cars. Just a suggestion, keep up the good work! 👍🏼
SilverTech Good idea
GTO/3000GT is the king of the road.
anyone else come here just for the impreza? lol
Car-car I did too.
Car-car me
Yeah and they barely showed a picture of it
I always thought the 3000GT looked beefier than the 350Z.
The blue 3000GT is at my home strip, New England Dragway!! Go figure, it's like a 50 minute drive from my dad's house.
2nd gen Ford Probe GT and Mazda MX-6 are very fun cars for the money :)
The second gen 300zx is better, but also more expensive.
Let us also not forget the 1979-1982 badge swapped variant of the Ford Mustang called the Mercury Capri.
Glad to see Volvo getting some love!
The white Audi 100 at !0;46 has at least a turbo. You can hear the blow off valve when it's shifting
How many of these cars are reliable tho
I sit here in Germany where a integra costs about 8000
10k here in France my friend
But still affordable
3:03
Lol too many mods :U

I love my 3000GT. I plan on getting a second one for show purpose in the future.
Tbh z31 is best option out of all of these... Rear wheel drive, turbo out the gate, and looks pretty dang good if you like older sports cars
Just an information correction. The Integra comes stock with a 1.8L engine. The RS, LS, SE, and GS trims comes with a B18B1 making 142 bhp and 127 ft-lbs of torque. I don't know if it's been mentioned in the past video, but you can get a Miata.
It actually was, but yea.
I choose Mitsubishi GTO anyday. Though it may be an unpopular car in the streets or JDM cars. I still love that Mitsubishi GTO...
9 Best Nissans!
Would love to see that

You sir, get a thumbs up cause I currently own an 89 GT vert fox, and have owned an 87 Z31 2+2.
I'm Trying to build the best Honda Civic ever to exist to man kind
G13WhiteShark V12 swap
Dennis Vasquez W16 swap lol
My prius will still beat your Honda
Javier Alvarez people are always gonna doubt.
King Vega02 you drive a fucking Prius you should be a shamed of your self. Like family guy said you drive a car made for rapists lmao
The fox's with the most power were from 87-92 making 225hp and 300lb ft of torque. The 93 made 205hp and 275lb ft
Only thing I can say about the Mk3 Supra's is to be aware of headgasket problems if it is still running the actual 7mge or 7mgte. Other than that they can be great drifters or track cars and plenty of mods are available too!

You dropped the ball here and neglected to put the Eagle Talon tsi on this list. There awd 2.0L turbo and AMAZING!
he says Toyota supra mkII but it says on the screen mkIII
Can you fit a turbo in a honda interga?

You forgot FC Rx-7's! They look good and can be picked up for dirt cheap. And who doesn't love the sound of a rotary?
Great vid just thought that I'd add that the Del Sol Si doesn't come with 160hp, it comes with a vtec d16 which makes 127hp, the Del Sol VTEC trim came with the b16 VTEC that made 160hp
That moment when you realised your dad used to use a Lexus SC300 as a daily lmao
Rev i daily my sc300 lol
Lmao nice! My dad took his lexus is350 in to the dealership for a quick maintenance and we got given a IS 300h.... Honestly considering it. The acceleration is immense xD
Rev SC Are Great!
Integras 1.6? I realize some Integras came with a B16, but the motor that everyone has, and the only one available in the US is a B18, which is a 1.8. And no B series motor has less than 130bhp.
The earlier gen integra's were available in N/A with a 1.6L.
Also, first generation CR-V's had a low-comp B20B that put out 126hp.
swapping a Subaru 2.2 into a 1972 VW Bus
Dylan T yhhhhhhh boiii get her done
The foxbody number for the 5.0 are the most choked version. Foxes from the mid to late 80s made 220-230 hp stock and made 300 something in torque. And they dirt fucking cheap to build a 302 windsor and easily make 300-350 hp with 1-2 grand of motor work or even possibly less
Next 9 fun and cheap diesel cars!!!
I might just need to ask my neighbor if he's still selling his 3000 GT.
My dad had a Nissan 300 and a vw gti he used for raceing
2:09 VTA-K DIDTN KICK IN YO!
Yo! no way, I was thinking to myself that they should include the Z31 because of the affordability and capability and I actually saw it recognized for once :')

tuna, no crust
that creepy whisper at 11:05
To clarify 140hp on a v8 fox body would be on the earlier, pre-efi cars.
303, for the 300zx, why did you show Steve Millen’s z32 300zx (1990-1996 in US), when you were talking about the z31?
BEST CAR 1998-2002 BUICK REGAL GS
What's the red car on the thumbnail I just cannot figure it out damn it hahahahha
Second gen mitsubishi 3000 gt
had a 1995 white pearl 3000gt lover that car
Glad to see the teggy on the list, but most are 1.8L and mines came stock with 170HP O_O, though non gsr versions had 140hp
You should do a cheap supercharged car list
all these cars are so damn rare in The Netherlands, cant find a single cheap one, only very tuned high end ones
best cars for snow
Great video 👍
Just on the price of some cars are not correct most of them are actually going up on value like the 3000gt vr4
Why is Colorado the best place to live :) I love it here
2000 Subaru Impreza👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The acura integra is easily my favorite car ever.
i felt in love with the mkIII Toyota Supra science i saw it at my pops friends house witch he offered me the car at 1000$ USD and im a buy it...I cant wait to fix it and drive it :3
Not to be rude, but I'm pretty sure the teg at 2:15 is not a b18b1...which is a non vtec engine and we can hear vtec. Could it be a gsr integra
Good list. I have 4 on there.
I have have a 93 fox body gt and it reaches 0 to 60 in about 4 seconds it seems like the perfect car
EddieTheGamerBro in love with my 87.
EddieTheGamerBro so your profile is minecraft and you have a car?
not me this is my little brothers account
not me I just came across this video while on his account
EddieTheGamerBro and you got the notification from his account to?
volvo 740 had in line motors so I highly doubt the first video had HEADS and not the head upgraded there aren't multiple heads on that car. Correct me if I'm wrong. That body Integra came with a 1.8 not 1.6.

Trying to find a Mitsubishi 3000GT in England is a no go, seen an engine for £2500 and that's it 😂
I drive an 03 lancer es, sadly an auto transmission, but still I am surprised that it never shows up on these lists, any reason why?
All these cars are slow stock and for the prices you listed , you'll be lucky to find a clean one, then you gotta put 10k or more in mods.
Sorry but the 3000gt was not made to compete with the SVX, the SVX's are garbage slow (15.4 in the 1/4), the SL 3000gt N/A does the 1/4 in 14.5-14.8. Wait, I was under the impression that the subaru 2.5rs with the ej25 NA came with 175hp not 140hp, correct me if I'm wrong
1000-3000 for a 3000gt, sure! but if you want one that can actually put down some the power, you want the vr-4, and that just knocked it out of the "cheap" car category.
If you get a an integra it has to have the jdm front end.
jacob anderson it has to have the jdm *FRONT END* wtf. The last two words completely don't make sence
A VERY HOT, NOT REALLY FEMALE HYLIAN the Shitposter L the us front end has round headlights and the jdm are just way better
I take credit for about half the cars on this list haha
Get your numbers right on the fox
you set that bar like 30 hp off on the integra
I got a 2003 Buick Regal LS for free, didn't take much to get it running, and I beat a 2014 mustang stock (mightve just been a a cylinder eco-boost though)
2.5 rs is one of my favorite cars. Super sexy.
can you do a best sedan list for everyday fun to drive? or will it all be boring XD ?
The 3000gt is slightly incorrect, you must be finding the FWD variants, only the VR4 had the AWD and is far more expensive.
Subaru Legacy GT 2.5 I had a lot of fun in that car.
Melmac98 bought second hand N/A but was a fun car to drive
I seen a grandma in a 3000gt i used to work for auto zone she kept that mf so clean and it was a vr4!! she brought it brand new I was told, yo boy was so jelly
I never knew volvos do turbocharging aswell probably a lot of turbo lag
you have you integra info wrong the b18b1 is a 1.8l nonvtec engine making 140hp (and thats not to the crank) the gsr or b18c1 is a 1.8l vtec engine that makes 176hp (its the engine Miles from English Racing used to beat that twin turbo audi) and the type r or b18c5 makes almost 200hp
"Mark 2"
_Shows the number 3_
Had 3 3kgt's NA and Boosted. Both fun and hoes love em. Most scrap yards don't have crap though , maybe the stealth peeled off a pine tree good luck salvaging.
dont be knocking on the 7mgte, the only problems it had was the torque specs, its still an amazing engine.
Check out the Subaru Legacy GT - it's a nice little sleeper (it has the WRX drivetrain from the factory).
Why would the EJ25 have boost gauges....?
hey! thats my mustang and the mods are in the discription of the video
anybody know the name of the blue car on the thumbnail ?
Since when are b18's 1.6l engines? Seems like you haven't done a lot of research.
Im all for that 3000gt!!
