    Bossk’s outfit isn’t just some costume a department made. It is a Windak pressurized suit. I think British U-2 pilots wore them. Its just like the Sterling sub machine gun was used for the storm troopers. Military surplus makes the best props.

    • @meierb75

      British U-2 pilots? That’s news to me! (And I’m ex-RAF). Can you provide more info?

    • @meierb75
      @meierb75 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@AtheistOrphan Okay. I don’t want to go too far down the rabbit hole on my research. The suit was built by BWT (Baxter, Woodhouse and Taylor Ltd.) by order of the RAF back in good ole’ Cold War aerospace days. These suits seamed to be a little over engineered for high altitude flights. The U-2 comment was just an assumption because of “high altitude”. Though there were a few (very few) British U-2 pilots, and launched from RAF air bases, they were never under RAF ownership. It seems that them may have been under CIA ownership with USAF operation. Any direct knowledge, I will keep to myself.

    If it weren't for that horrible Christmas Special Boba Fett might not have been in Empire at all. That animated bit was the best part of that acid trip gone wrong, it got him a 4 issue solo series with Marvel Comics too. Boba Fett's name was known before Empire came out due to the comics and it was on the action figures packaging, it wasn't common knowledge until ET.
    You know what's weird about the original Star Wars figures? Snaggletooth was available alone, in a 3 figure set with Hammerhead and Greedo or as part of the Creature Cantina playset but Snaggletooth was never in any Star Wars scene. Everyone had a Snaggletooth and now you can't find one to save your life, collectors have hoarded them all.
    Another Fun Fact For Free; DC Comics created Lobo as a parody of Boba Fett, a space bounty hunter who was supposed to be more badass than Boba but the original Lobo was a purple spandex wearing goof, he looked stupid, a space mime with an attitude, there I said it, Lobo started out as a pathetic Boba Wanna-Be.
