CAS is absolutely out of control in this game and you can't even really get out of the spawn area. Gaijin really needs to make far far bigger maps for top tier ground and spread out the cap points. Just take a chance gaijin, I know a lot of players that want far bigger maps but most of the time gaijin just listens to the ones who cry about the maps being too big. Take a chance and change.
I'd like big maps for top tier, thing is we had big Tunisia which imo was ideal the way it was and people still hated it. lol Some people will never be pleased I guess.
Tbh I just want a ground only mode. My problem with big maps is that for some reason you get a half ful match to begin with. So tunisia with like 8 people per side is just camping and seeing 2 enemies max per game

I have all ground and some air tech trees spaded for all nations - I recently deleted all my presets above 7.7 and now only play 5.0 to 7.7 - no helicopters and the CAS is a bit reduced. When I get really frustrated I play a single tank lineup and don't concern myself with winning a match but just driving and shooting other vehicles - I am waiting for the release of "Steel Aces" which looks like it will be a great game with no CAS, no arty and WW2, post war and modern tanks separated

I understand your point for sure. I thought about this as well. I use the term "lineup" very loosely, intentionally lol. My new format is to play a set amount of games and have it be done. The main reason for this change is to improve my quality of life when recording footage is concerned. For regular videos, I feel like 6 battles is plenty for me to get a few good ones in, and also show a little bit of reality. For the "one match" series... that's just the theme really. I see it as a challenge to make each match as good as I can, which definitely leads to some one life matches 🤣
I really respect the aggressive push on the challenger 2e it can work so very well. Just bad timing and getting surrounded cuz your teammates closest failed to support
Honestly after the update the cas spam especially f16 is insane. My friend who likes to play the tiger is very much in pain, thoe if u play a heli with a nose gun it makes for some intense gameplay having to fight off all of the planes while trying to kill ground targets
Very, very unfortunate first match with US, sometimes no matter how well you do it's a lose-lose situation. 😞 What's crazy though is sometimes you will play against the US they spawn a gazillion times but when you play it or they are on your side you get demolished.

Why did you bring the Buccaneer S1 and not the S2b? S2b has anti ship missiles with 45km range, if their Pantsir is stationary in spawn you can shoot the missile at it and turn away, without harm and kill pantsir super easily.

I only majorly played german 8,8 4.0 and 6,3, didnt like anything above that and i still see the very same similar flaws, its just click and shoot with these modern tanks, and then goes the hardcore unsanctioned spawn camping, i wish Gaijin wouldnt be so greedy and starts listening to their playerbase...
Worst thing they did to top tier is add 11.3 premiums.. when all premiums were 10.0 it was fine, let them duke it out and get ready for top tier but nows its just a fucking mess. 1/2 death premium/squad vehicle and done.. which also means no one has any spaa, coupled with now premium cas its just a mess. I can go 8-0 and look at map and have like 1 other person up
Im wondering how can you have a full up-tier in 11.7? Im relatively new to war thunder and though that you cant have full uptiers if you have the highest tier? Am i missing something?
The max BR for ground is technically 12.7, due to the aircraft you can bring. So when playing a purely 11.7 lineup, you can still have a "full uptier".
