I used to be the person who tried to stick to the “dish soap and bananas” Therefore, I dd not get a cart at the entrance and I would end up caring about 50 items in my arms. Now I just own my truth and realize I definitely need an extra large cart for dish soap and bananas.

I've met shoppers like you 🤣, had to chase them down offering them a cart just so they would stop dropping things and risk having to take them back because it's broken or mashed up 😅. there's a comedic time in my life where indeed the shoppers absolutely REFUSED the cart we were offering precisely because it's their way of disciplining themselves to stick to the items that they came for. eventually they gave up because they discovered the holy grail that are end caps 🤣
I learned the hard way shopping at Safeway and I've now learned I don't only need a basket, I need a cart because the food can be so darn heavy. And, I also have one of those carts that I can transfer my items into after I go through the check-out so I can walk all my stuff home afterwards because I don't have a car. Grocery shopping is like a major trip. lol!
When I do that my arms are sore for several days from gripping so hard. 😂

I got a teacher's planner there last year and loved the setup and for the first time was pretty freaking consistent and it was so pretty with a different color for each day and it was so freaking amazing and this year they didn't get the same kind 😫

People are always asking me "Do you work here?" it seems like wherever I go. I have actually directed a guy to the aisle he needed at the grocery store. He asked me if I was sure I didn't work there. Thanks for making me feel not alone. 😁
My first job was at Rainforest Café. You have to wear this obnoxious safari uniform. The restaurant/store was located inside this mall that at the time, had a Virgin Record store. You had to walk through the record store to get to the food court, as the mall was a massive loop, and this was an excellent cut through, especially since it was across from it. Anyway, on break, trying to walk to the food court, people would stop me in my Rainforest Café uniform asking where various albums were. Should have been totally obvious that I didn’t work there, as Virgin employees all wore black tshirts with a big white “Virgin,” on it, and if my green Safari shirt, khaki pants, and hiking boots wasn’t obvious enough, my name badge was on a giant green tree frog. But rather than inform them that I didn’t work there, I always showed them where the album was, because I totally knew, and always, really wanted to work there instead, but they didn’t want me for some reason.
But yeah, you NEVER wear a red shirt at Target. I would end up working at one for about 4 years. When I’d go on break, and needed to be on the sales floor to buy something, I would take off my name badge, and wear a jacket, zipping it up if I could. NEVER wear red at Target!

I am in my 40s and will never have children, but...I still walk through the children's clothing section and wistfully admire the adorable outfits. I sometimes think of starting a hope chest - my relatives are also not having babies, but then I think I could donate... lol!

Well, you certainly could donate to a baby bank type of charity, usually churches run them, sometimes community centers. With my last baby, I even kept back some gifts and donated them, since I already had plenty of baby clothes. For me it was fun to put my baby in all the stuff his siblings had already worn, and for new parents, it's fun to have new things. Win-win.

As much as I feel you, I also see you made the right choice. Bringing babies to the world is good if they can be happy. But this world is in decadence, hostile to children, and will not deliver a happy predictable future to kids.

@Digby Dooright lol its true, my mom just got her first official grand baby and now anytime she goes to target or anywhere she will buy something for her baby, going to be 1 in april and yep she is in full grandma mode, then my oldest nephew is going to be 16 my niece is almost 14, so she got her grandkids, that was her biggest thing, told me and my brother, one of you better give me grandkids before i die,
LOL my mom does this too! She is much better at self-control, though. She doesn't even glance at the baby section anymore unless she is buying gifts. When she does get to go in though, she gets SO excited! 🤣
My youngest is 11. Totally true!!!! Grandkids!!!! My oldest is 20.

I work in retail, and I wish I encountered the customer who knew everything about the store! I keep getting the ones who ask me “Where’s the bathroom?” when it’s literally right behind them! 🤦🏻♀️😂
Do your job and tell them and be glad your job isn't that stressful.
The ones who know where the bathroom is don't have to ask you where the bathroom is.
If customers don't actually need you for anything, then you don't actually have a job.

My husband sleeps in another room, too much snoring and I already have difficulty sleeping, plus he actually LIKES sleeping on the floor... I keep buying him things to cushion the literal concrete with unpadded carpet he lays on and he won't use it, it ends up being a dog bed, my husband is 6'6, our dogs are less than 20lbs lol a reaaaaally big dog bed for tiiiiiiny dogs

I used to work for Target, so that red shirt thing brought back memories and comedic anxieties about what to friggin wear in Target whenever I go there during my off hours/days. I've never had so much red shirts in my life and then complain I had nothing to wear 🤣. it's also the time in my life that I realized if I like something, get it in more than one color 😆.
those end cap things are both our most beloved and most despised area of Target 😅. it's ALWAYS a MESS no matter how often we fix it. (and trust me while I was working for the company, it was me who was always fixing it regardless of the branch I was in 😆). professional Target shoppers like Kim knows where the good stuffs are at so there's always people rifling through there 😂. it's where we dump our sales stuff, returns stuff from other Target stores that we don't carry, really out of season stuffs, weird / broken stuff that can still be sold for a fraction of what it costs (like dinnerwear), that scene where Penn was flipping that contraption around wondering what the heck is it? yeah accurate, it's at the endcap because we don't know wtf it is either 🤣, so instead of throwing it away, management thinks it would be nice to make quick buck off of y'all 😬😅.

I'm almost due with my first, and the many women in my life Have. Gone. Bonkers. I have picked out a single item of clothes for my baby because before I could even start shopping they have been dropping bags of stuff off. I'm up to....9 containers of washed and sorted baby clothes. 🤯

Thankfully my brother and SIL made me a perfect niece so now mom and I can buy all the tiny, adorable things!
My son is almost 11 and I'm still inexplicably drawn to the baby stuff sometimes! It's all so cute and tiny! Also that precious phase of their life goes so fast - I think maybe we're subconsciously trying to squeeze in just a bit more of it! Lol

When my kids were toddlers we had to travel a lot via plane and they had baby backpacks . It was a great way to store snacks and things to keep them busy. I never had 1 complaint about my kids flying.Thanks baby backpack
Magnolia Hearth and Home section. My favorite. And Casaluna sheets. Best sheets ever. They have elastic fitted corners that stretch! And tags that tell you where the top is. And they’re soft. I need to go to Target now.

I went into Target last week for two health related items. I casually checked the shampoo isle because mine was getting low. I walked out with the two items, shampoo, conditioner and hair clips. No cart, just carrying by hand. I do my best to stay focused and avoid store roaming.

OMG same! 🤣 there was a time where I worked two jobs and yes it was at a Target and a Best Buy across from each other. so yes once again I get into that comedic anxiety of complaining that I have nothing to wear yet my closet is stuffed with red shirts and some really fave blue ones that I couldn't wear going into those stores during my off days 😅
Best Buy has terrible service. I know a tourist who was forced to stay a whole day only to get a phone chip working to have phone and Internet. It seemed like as careless about customers as a government office of a third world country.
