Thanks. This transit is driving me nuts. I've been using a bungie cord to keep the door closed. Many, many many thanks. I live in Queensland Australia, and it appears that 99.9% of people who know Transits live in Victoria. Again, thankyou. I'm living in this van and the central locking failed. So I've been doing it manually. The lock jamming was almost the last straw.
I will try this over the weekend..... fuse blowed first. Changed fuse sude door opened... fuses ok side door nit opening. Very frustrating trying to work from rear door only. Thanks for this video
How do I get the lock off the inside of a door on a ford transit Mark 6 the door is locked and I've trying to open it up from the inside but no go can you please help thank you very much
Unfortunately to open the door is very hot and miss I can't remember how I opened it I think I removed the door card or part of it to get at the mechanical sorry I can't be of more help
Thanks for this. My central locking has locked this sliding door but it won't unlock it and need to figure out how to unlock it manually. I wish you'd zoom out and show me how you're testing it. Where's the catch to lock and unlock it?
The opening of the doors is very hit and miss what I found is close the door gently because as I say on my short video the horse shoe part that strikes the pin on the door open panel can travel to far (the little bent tag on the lock) what happens then the mechanism inside the lock gets trapped, I also found that the plastic knob for locking unlocking breakers easy so I made one out of wood, don't know if this can help but once open don't close untill you remove the lock then bend the tag back in place
