A top tier card in this deck is the Partner version of Samwise Gamgee. He makes your foods cost 1 mana less to activate their abilities. Let that rattle in your brain for a moment.
Yeah I was wondering why I was being suggested Samwise Gamgee but I definitely get it after I realized it applies to the food golem copies' abilities, I'm sure there's some nutty infinite mana combo you can pull or infinite ability activation

Great deck idea and quality video! I would consider a repeatable blink creature to take advantage of some of these ETBs before things die the first time. It also brings Prototypes back as their full form.
@bettercommander yes but when a creature comes back as a food it triggers academy manufactor to give you a clue and a treasure on top of the creature coming in as a food golem
@@joshua3539 the creature doesn't come in as a food golem, just a regular food. It's a replacement effect. Pretty sure that was the ruling from the last set with Shelob. Sadly, I could well be wrong though.
So, I’m really curious about the “food” creature type, I thought that was like with “saga,” and “shrine,” where that’s the type of enchantment, where food is the type of artifact. I can see this being erratc tho
I plan on adding legions loyalty to make the splicer generate stupid amounts of golems. Also dark steel colossus, sentry, and blight steel colossus. Because there Golem and I want to be a bad person ending games with a 20/20 myriads flying indestructible infect trample monster
Sad they went with white not black on his colors. Cookie theme would have been better served in black. The challenge will be to build the deck to function when he’s not on the field. Can’t rely solely on his synergies. They look fun tho and I am thrilled to win with cookie monsters.
May I introduce you to my secret second commander, Chulane? I've noticed a neat amount of overlap between my Chulane deck and all the Brenard decklists I'm seeing so I'm definitely including Chulane when I eventually finish my build, gets me a lot of ramp and card draw and can synergize with Brenard's infinite colorless mana combo using Eternal Scourge and Ashnod's Altar, or even just be it's own combo without Brenard if I get the right effects

food is just an artifact subtype, there aren't any printed food creatures that aren't also artifacts

It would have been insane with black. The Exploit creatures like Sidisi and Fleshbag marauder would have been nuts.
