He just walk, and walk, and walk, *_a n d w a l k_*....without problems, without quest, friends, enemies, without life and adventure....be honest: It's a bad "movie", because this not interesting and not surprising. Animation sometimes really bad, feels like a old doll, logic in movie also sometimes stupid(and not canon). Good scenes very low, there are literally several of them. Oh Gosh and this "_final battle_"....Combine - its a machine of death, *Arms Race*, _panzer-mensch_(translate this literally) they cant die with a one 9mm bullet, play Half Life on hard to understand what about i saying.
@@internetultra I beat the game hundred times on hardest difficulty. I know this movie is not perfect in the pace Half-Life offers. What I did is to welcome new perspectives and different style of art about this universe. It is lore-friendly what is most important for me.
This is truly a sad story. 😭 If I were the man at the end, I would chase after the sorrowful combine, give him a hug, and treat his wounds with the medicine I had stolen.🫂 As the man said, this might not change the outcome, but it could make our last days less painful.🥺
This was really something special, a real piece of art. I loved the choice of music throughout, really set the themes of existential dread and guilt in humanity eroding in a literal and metaphorical sense. The ending honestly made me a bit misty eyed. A worthy side story in the Half-Life universe.
Jesus Christ, this made me tear up, and the descriptions of the seven hour war through the radio... just, incredible. It's really a universe with such potential and valve is just letting time take it's toll.

Not gonna lie this is one of the best Half-Life 2 fan movie i've ever seen! the imagery, sound design, voice acting, atmosphere, even the character of Unit07 itself is phenomenal. you manage to capture the weight of emotion and express the feeling of hopelessnes, guilt, and longing in such an effective way through cinematography and sound which is amazing and rare for an SFM movie to do that. Unit07 is now my favorite Combine character to ever exist in HL2 Fanon.. despite what he did atleast in the end he did the right thing and now he's up there... immortal in the stars.. Rest in peace Unit07. Fantastic work! i enjoyed it thoroughly from start to the end, this movie honestly deserves waay more recognition!
Excellent really good, barely any SFM touch on this elemet of HL, the whole scene setting feels rushed on many SFMs or simply relying on existing lore/story. Here, you have taken the lore & created a unqiue believeble story in the HL universe with relatable characters. Action only where its needed, I don't think many other SFMs in HL have made me feel this kind of connection to your story. There was also no cringe worthy additon of Gman where he isn't needed, infact he is nowhere to be seen & neither is any other characters from Half Life, lots of SFMs tring them in as their mains lack any relation to the audiance. This stands on its own twofeet. I am looking forward to any other content in the future :)

despite the numberous inaccuracies (The Ordinal being the subordinate to the Wallhamer) this is really well made. The atmosphere is absolutely gripping.
I love the little details here, like using a bioluminescent light stalk on top of his helmet instead of a torch, since a torch would use power, and that's at a premium.
This was amazing it truly shows the horror of the half life universe and it shows that the combine are still humans and have feelings. I almost cried at the ending while the half life music drops. Anyways amazing work!

Poor fella even through the mask you can feel how he’s processing how the combine reduced him to a biologically engineered war criminal. Knowing his brain has been altered, emotions regulated, and he’s possibly not voluntarily doing any of this anymore is horrific
Love whoever did the voice acting pretty good animation 10/10. I hope you do more of these in the future as I would love to watch more of these animations.
So far, the lore accuracy is kinda low. But other than that, great animation. Edit: I'd like to point out that the Combine Ordinal is more high-ranking that the Wallhammer ( Combine Charger ) and the APF ( Combine Supressor )
Hello! Thanks in the meantime for seeing our film. As for the rank of the Combine, I took a liberty because for the villain I wanted a more imposing figure. Surely if we make other films, we will consider maybe making new characters. As for the Lore, I assure you that we are fans of the game and we have tried to remain as faithful as possible. I love Half Life and this is my love letter to the saga!
Even though the Ordinals are One of the most modified units of Overwatch soldier, they have forced Loyalty and almost no free Will, if not of limited thoughts and certain Emotions (Like Laughing) They are the commanders of squads or Platoons, And almost command every Overwatch units. (Except Elites or other Units.) All Overwatch units are collegated To the Citadel, and they can be shut down like a switch if seen like an anomaly or too wounded to complete the task or mission. For the Choice of the Main character could have been put an Overwatch soldier (Combine Grunt or Echo One), the less modified units, since they sound like a Civil protection Officer but more modified, even though they too have forced Loyalty, they seems to not have a lot of restrictions on Free Will, like the rest of the Overwatch soldiers, since they can feel Pity, dread of death, or fear for their lifes. But for the rest great film.
Forgor to Say, that Ordinals and the supressor(But more understandable) and the Wallhamer have a much heavier modification on the voice, almost impossible or really hard to understand to the human ear, since they tend to speak fast when giving orders or speaking to other units or reporting to the Overwatch. When speaking to captured rebels or Civilians they tend to slow down whit their speech and increase the tone of their voice to be more Easy to Understand.
It would be good if a guy made an SFM about a svacs guy looting for stuff and pass old battlefields , bases or any remain of human armys of the 7hw it would be good
Absolutely amazing use of both assets and lore from the games and S2FM something i would like to point out is that is this entire film we never see the combine ordinals face and i like that because we know that their eyes have actually been removed and replaced with wires hooked into their helmet but because we don't really know how this would look with the entire helmet off it's a great filming choice to not show the face and instead let imagination fill in the gaps Wonderful job all around!

The wallhammer riding on an antlion was a little silly, but that's just a tiny part of something much bigger. I loved everything else, the whole way through! This one's going in my 'cinematic masterpieces' playlist, for sure!
Incredible work! Here is an honest review through numbers. Animation 9/10 Cinematography 7/10 Levelbuilding 6/10 Story 5/10 Lore accuracy 1/10 Length 10/10 All in all I'd give it a 7/10
It's a classic tale, you could see where the plot and story is going to go. But execution is everything. And let me tell you, it was emotional, had an impact on me and I couldn't take my attention away from it. The 40 minutes were gone in a moment. Allow me to give special praise to the sound and music use. It was perfection. The Russian orthodoxy choir along with the imagery hit me like bag of bricks, I had goosebumps. And a testament to Valve's own musical genius, I loved how you used their music and the perfect moments. As an aside, although I do not speak Spanish, the voices sounded very charismatic, like honey. One point of minor criticism though, I would think the Combine voice modulation should be more like the original, where it is almost inhuman. But, again. This is minor. And my god, the potential for storytelling in the Half-Life universe is enormous. Thank you dearly for exploring it. Normally most of the Half-Life fan content is humorous, which I love, but it is refreshing to get such a serious take on the universe. The animation, and visual story telling is superb and organic, speak less, show more. I wish professionals would re-learn this rule. I don't make long reviews as I have a hard time coming up with words to say. For this video it was easy to make, because the words came by themselves, and they are truthful.

Unico difetto è che al 12:20 il soldato combine che interroga i cittadini è un wallahammer, e il soldato protegonista principale è un ordinal, in half life alyx gli ordinal sono i capi leader del gruppo, e un altro piccolo difetto, se si voleva fare un film animato fedele alla lore di Half life, il soldato doveva essere un Grunt, un soldato pursempre modificato ma che ha ancora un pò di umanita in se. Un altra cosa che ho notato è che al minuto 26:00 si vede il wallhammer che usa una formica leone per spostarsi, in lore le formiche leone sono ostili a qualsiasi cosa, a meno che quel wallhammer non abbia un organo di una formica leone che gli permette di non essere attaccato Pursemre un bel film animato, non è una critica, soltanto un suggerimento se si vuole fare un altro capolavore! 😊
I have never seen something quite like this before. From the philosophical questions of identity to the soundtrack to the visuals, it was fucking beautiful. By far one of my favorite fan-made Half-Life projects. Thank you so much for making this.
Very good work! Though not entirely lore accurate, I would say this is one of the better S2FMs I have seen. (If you were to make more about Half Life, I would suggest something about the mother or father of a civil protection officer due to the fact that if an officer fails to perform a task, their family members are killed.)
Oh. My. Gosh. I have no words. This is goddamn incredible. I've been interested in the Combine for quite a bit; they are interesting to explore. And when they're given more complex personalities/stories, it is like my black tar heroin lol. Very interesting choice of focusing on an Ordinal (maybe my favorite Combine type), because many would see them as emotionless unfeeling robots. While I do see where this view is coming from, this ain't my cup of tea. I think all Combine units have some of the humanity left deep inside, which can be re-awakened in certain circumstances. Also, that moment when the Ordinal lowered the gun at the end gave my goosebumps. This might have inspired me to write a fanfic of my own :D

Very much impossible considering the higher you go up the ranks of the transhuman forces the more cyber augmentations you receive and you get your mind regularly wiped. Only the Civil Protection units have their minds intact and are just normal humans. TheParryGod's video "Patient Zero" has the most realistic depiction of human combine soldiers ever.
Its nice to see that you showed other countries or atleast other humans that speak different languages goes to show that the combine and xen showed up all around the world

I love how HL:A and Black Mesa has lead to a new wave of Half Life content. Also love how this new wave is diving deeper into the world of HL.
Why did I got recommended one year ago bruh😭 this is the best film I’ve ever seen beside that tf2 horror film.

It's a classic tale, you could see where the plot and story is going to go.
But execution is everything. And let me tell you, it was emotional, had an impact on me and I couldn't take my attention away from it. The 40 minutes were gone in a moment.
Allow me to give special praise to the sound and music use. It was perfection.
The Russian orthodoxy choir along with the imagery hit me like bag of bricks, I had goosebumps. And a testament to Valve's own musical genius, I loved how you used their music and the perfect moments.
As an aside, although I do not speak Spanish, the voices sounded very charismatic, like honey. One point of minor criticism though, I would think the Combine voice modulation should be more like the original, where it is almost inhuman. But, again. This is minor.
And my god, the potential for storytelling in the Half-Life universe is enormous. Thank you dearly for exploring it. Normally most of the Half-Life fan content is humorous, which I love, but it is refreshing to get such a serious take on the universe.
The animation, and visual story telling is superb and organic, speak less, show more. I wish professionals would re-learn this rule.
I don't make long reviews as I have a hard time coming up with words to say. For this video it was easy to make, because the words came by themselves, and they are truthful.

Bella animazione! Unico difetto è che al 12:20 il soldato combine che interroga i cittadini è un wallahammer, e il soldato protegonista principale è un ordinal, in half life alyx gli ordinal sono i capi leader del gruppo, e un altro piccolo difetto, se si voleva fare un film animato fedele alla lore di Half life, il soldato doveva essere un Grunt, un soldato pursempre modificato ma che ha ancora un pò di umanita in se.
Un altra cosa che ho notato è che al minuto 26:00 si vede il wallhammer che usa una formica leone per spostarsi, in lore le formiche leone sono ostili a qualsiasi cosa, a meno che quel wallhammer non abbia un organo di una formica leone che gli permette di non essere attaccato
Pursemre un bel film animato, non è una critica, soltanto un suggerimento se si vuole fare un altro capolavore! 😊

I have never seen something quite like this before. From the philosophical questions of identity to the soundtrack to the visuals, it was fucking beautiful. By far one of my favorite fan-made Half-Life projects. Thank you so much for making this.

Very good work! Though not entirely lore accurate, I would say this is one of the better S2FMs I have seen.
(If you were to make more about Half Life, I would suggest something about the mother or father of a civil protection officer due to the fact that if an officer fails to perform a task, their family members are killed.)

I have no words. This is goddamn incredible. I've been interested in the Combine for quite a bit; they are interesting to explore. And when they're given more complex personalities/stories, it is like my black tar heroin lol.
Very interesting choice of focusing on an Ordinal (maybe my favorite Combine type), because many would see them as emotionless unfeeling robots. While I do see where this view is coming from, this ain't my cup of tea. I think all Combine units have some of the humanity left deep inside, which can be re-awakened in certain circumstances.
Also, that moment when the Ordinal lowered the gun at the end gave my goosebumps.
This might have inspired me to write a fanfic of my own :D

This film for me (and the rest of the crew) is a love letter to the Half-Life saga. A film made by Fans for the Fans. On the issue of the Combine, there would be many stories to investigate. And we have only scratched the surface!

Very much impossible considering the higher you go up the ranks of the transhuman forces the more cyber augmentations you receive and you get your mind regularly wiped. Only the Civil Protection units have their minds intact and are just normal humans. TheParryGod's video "Patient Zero" has the most realistic depiction of human combine soldiers ever.
The tanks and the left over weapons that were in the seven hour war still remains till this day😢

I love that the combine horses are included! Good movie overall.
I like how Beta content like the Horse of the Ordinal got put in too! It makes the lore feel way deeper and interesting. And the intro was pure gold.
I feel as if the italian makes it all more legitimate, since it is very likely that italy was part of the new cities, and the speech at 14:49 moved me on another level. The writing is amazing.

This was so spooky, I was kinda expecting the action to begin, but this was quite an excellent film
