Oh shut the fu.ck up with the Tommy hate already. He earned his spot on the team he worked hard for it. If you actually knew your Kisstory you would know that it wasn't his fault at all.
I loved the 84-95 lineup too. Eric Carr and Bruce took the band to another level and heavied up the sound , and allowing Paul as a vocalist to really shine in the hard rock era.
This was the line-up. This was KISS to be taken seriously and you see that blonde guy behind Paul? Best investment Gene and Paul ever made for KISS and why Bruce is out even though its been stated is beyond me.
I wholeheartedly agree. I’ll always be a massive fan of the original four, but after the Farewell Tour, Paul and Gene should’ve reached out to Bruce. They already had Eric fill in for Peter for the last leg of the Farewell tour in the early 2000s after he left. They should’ve ended the makeup when the Farewell Tour came to a close and picked up where they left off before the Reunion without the makeup.
@@markpr73 if it's a good song, obscurity means nothing. If anything, it exposes everyone to great tunes they haven't heard before and if they like it enough, they go buy the song or the record the song is on.
Exactly. I’ve been a bassist for years and I’ve always pushed the bands I’ve been in to do B-sides or deep cuts because how many groups are just “one and done”? Just about any group you can think of, that has recorded material available, has more than one good song in them. I love turning people on to some great tune and have them come up later and go “That song was by ( insert appropriate band name here)?!? I gotta find that!” And all it takes is one cool song to open up a door to some more great listening.
@@geekverve no I didn’t. I love Ace but he was not the right guitarist for Kiss in the mid 80s & 90s. Then, when he could have stayed in the early 00s he pulled his usual antics of not being timely for concerts.

This was on network tv. Gene either made the decision himself to change it, or was asked. If it wasn't changed, it would most likely have been censored.
I understood Kiss having the reunion tour after the MTV success but I wish they hadn't done it. I thought Kiss with this lineup was much better. Seemed to all get along and the music was new and fresh. Bruce never gets enough credit. He was a big part of Kiss.
KISS at their peak. The Reunion - OK - but then they should have gone back to this lineup and progressed upwards. What a different KISStory it would be.
Yeesh, when they started playing that song, I almost thought they were going to break into 'This one's for all you girls about 13,,," Sounds like the beginning of Martina McBride's "This one's for the girls" lol

How wonderful, yet another interview where the other two guys don't get to say a word. What an insult to Bruce and Eric. Why even have them there if they are not allowed to speak?!
Just NOT Kiss without Ace & Peter !!! Maybe for new Kiss fans it's alright. I went to see original band in 1976 & became a big fan. Not into these new guys. Miss you Ace & Peter & love you. Must success with all your talent.
I’m a fan of the original 4 but I’ll say this lineup is fantastic.
Revenge is my second favorite album behind Destroyer... This line is awesome!
Agreed 👍I loved how they got a bit bluesy and went in a different direction.
I agree that the original is better, but this lineup has recorded some of my favorite songs from Kiss so say what you want
Right.
I like the fact that Bruce does Bruce and never imitating anybody else.
Bruce is one cool cookie.
Yup and ace and Peter shouldn’t have sold the rights to the make up for drug and alcohol money typical junkies

Cool.
You are a young man.
You're very fortunate!
Me too. I SOOOO wish they had brought back this lineup after Peter and Ace split.

Awesome. Celebrate the legends of Rock and Roll....KISS
I liked the part of the interview when Eric and Bruce answered some questions.
I agree this looks same night as unplugged. Bruce is Aces' favorite replacement. That says something
SLAYER look great on this appearance. never heard their acoustic stuff before. not bad.

I always like Gene's songs and the way he does these interviews.
Gene's actually a very cool person, despite his sometimes gruff facade. He's a big teddy bear inside.
