I’m a professional musician, trying to learn the ins and outs of audio engineering and producing to become a more “useful” musician. This tutorial is absolutely incredible. Thank you 🙏🏼
As someone who is learning to mix for the first time this video made me smile at the end being able to hear, see, and most importantly understand what he was doing! It’s crazy cause now I feel like I know what I’m doing and what to look for. Thank you!! 🔥
Excellent man, i been working toward my vocal chain, this is the most palpably effective i have yet heard, really good, subtle, delicious stuff, thanks.
this video legit made me realize a lot of people who make vids lke this dont know wtf their doing lmao. this vid did wonders for me, your presence is greatly appreciated brotha !
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I have been trying to mix vocals for the first time, and this was so helpful. It legitimately made my dollar store mic sound just as good as a studio mic
Awesome video, I love how you kept referencing that mixing is based on the source of audio that’s being recorded. That was honestly the most important information you could have told us
Appreciate this tutorial! It has helped lay a solid foundation for me to start mixing my own vocals. Do you have a video showing the basics on how to properly record vocals on logic? If so I'd love to check it out!
Ma boy , just stumbled upon your channel , daamn i remember watching your videos years ago . I assume you have mastered every last instrument in the world by now .. subscribed homy
Out of all the videos I've watched yours was spot on, I appreciate you showing hands on instead of just talking about it with nothing to show.. Blessings!!!
This is what I have been looking for this entire time!!! Thank you so much for this video, I still have a lot to learn about the Deesser, but I am able to make my vocals sound like they’re one with the track.
Yo you did a phenomenal job bro I don't usually mix my vocals in logic after this I'll start. Make my beats in FL record and mix in logic then mater in Protools thanks my guy
thank you so much for publishing this tutorial!! i keep coming back to it time and time again. most useful vocal mixing tutorial ive found for logic pro :)
Wow, I’ve been curious about mixing for close to 5 years and I’ve never been able to get it quite right, until watching your video today! Thanks for such a straightforward explanation. I’m now wondering, any videos/tips on BGV/ad-libs?
I've been making music since I was 10, I'm 21 now - and this is the first time I have had someone genuinely make me start to understand what "busses" are / do - thank you!
Spectacular easy flowing tutorial ! I’m looking to do vocals for various genres but your principles are worthy across the board, were easy to follow and on point Thanks so much for this learned a lot ! Incredible video !!! Have a Great rest of the week stay Productive
Wow, truly fascinating to include the skills you developed to make a good sounds. Lots of work... but you are certainly talented. Good job! Good luck for 2022.
I watched a million vids but this one made sense and I actually gained some confidence in learning this .. thank you and please keep up the logic vids with stock plugins
Great video brother, I’ve watched other videos trying to learn how to mix and I’ve been struggling to understand everything but yours just clicked and I got it easily. You’re a good teacher , thanks lol 🙏
Loved your chain! Although I decided to go with different settings from yours (basically lighter coloration), it still sounded super natural. and if I wanted to color it more, i can just push the settings on each plugin without losing too much of the original feel of each track. i have quite a bit of paid plugins, but these stocks are almost good as the competition, which is good for actually getting some fundamentals of the plugins to know what to look out for, so thank you!
Your a 🐐 bro I been on GarageBand for 5+ years and have never done this mixing vocals it’s my second day on logic pro X and I’m very satisfied on the tutorial very well explained thank you Boss I appreciate you.💯🫡
The AT2020 is a good mic as you say a bit thin on the top end but you can work to round it off a little and get it sounding natural if you know what you are doing. My problem is that I can sound too natural and like a mic with some glitz and glamour to it. But that is not always the way forward.
You mentioned using your vocal reverb as a tail. Insert a compressor and use a side chain method to duck the reverb when your vocals are happening, and then when they stop it’s a nice tail on the end. Keeps it from being muddy.
