I have JUST ordered one. I can’t wait so F hard 😁 Tired of DJI FPV . I still believe that it’s the nr 1 drone for someone who have never flown a drone ( still gonna use the same goggles and dji controller 2 from DJI FPV Combo ) but now after 6 months flying almost every day followed by 200h in Liftoff I finally feel like it limits me and I have skills and knowledge to fly a real fpv drone without any training wheels or addons 🔥 It’s mainly the hang-time for me that’s I already know gonna be a game changer. Doing inverted yaw spins and anything similar on DJI FPV is such a nightmare 🙄
How’s it going with your Mark 5? It says you wrote this comment 3 months ago so expect you’ve got some decent flight time on with it now? I’m thinking of ordering one next week. I was thinking of getting the Afterburner but I’m not keen on the bottom battery so think Mark 5 is the way.
@@h-dawg969 absolutely sick. I wanna say best drone I ve ever flown but that means nothing since I have no comparison🤣 I lost signal, crashed 3 times - not a prop broke. I started with thumbs, and it was completely natural to me. But i realized most of the best pilots are pinching. I tried to pinch, it was weird at start, bit i got used to it. And now it's natural. And it is so much better and precise, that there is no way i would ever go back. I tried couple of times, but i was so weirdly unprecise. And it is not the matter of personal preference. Pinching simply makes you drive with more precision. Thumbs only are slightly more comfortable, especially if you come from console controller. But if you wanna drive better, there is no dispute, pinchimg is beter.
When I first bought the Avata I tried using the controller like a console controller and I couldn't control the throttle to save my life. So I started pinching and now I can't imagine not pinching. It is weird when I go to play PS5 and I attempt to pinch that. LOL. Anyway I just ordered the Mark 5 DC so I'm looking forward to that coming. Great video. You describe FPV flying the same way I feel. Pretty awesome.
Awesome job Matt👍I agree, the Mark 5 in general is an awesome platform! I do however feel the same regarding your thoughts concerning adding a secondary camera which hinders the agility of the quads. Looks like your nade a very viable choice. Keep up the good work.
Great informative video 👌 - I have one on the way (before you congratulate me - I’m referring to the Mark 5 🤣). Have you added conformal coating to the FC&ESC? Paranoid I may short it out if landing on damp grass.
Great review; Clear to the point and layed back. This drone is on my top pick, though I want to go with CADDEX, so I will have to build by the looks. No stress, I have an electronics background.

I took out a ticket on the geprc website to have them install the GPS and compass as well. Also ordered more props too! Please let me know what you think of my plan of flying the mini 4 pro with goggles for a while before trying mark 5 or should I buy something to fly first. Thanks!
Did you get the motion controller? If not - You can't use the goggles. I wish I knew that prior to buying the mini, but I use the goggles for my bigger drone anyway.
Do you use a ground stake for the dog whilst flying fpv? All the best chances and locations for fpv that I find myself at is usually when I’m on a walkies with my good boy but I don’t like leaving him to roam free when I can’t keep an eye on him as I’m wearing goggles. I think ground stake is probably the best solution as there’s not always a bench or tree etc to attach his lead to.
I have a question, seeing as the new DJI avata 2 comes with the new Goggles 3 and works with the new dji remote version 3, these all don’t work with the DJI O3 air unit and therefore are unusable with the mark 5. What do you reccomend buying? Do I still go for the Avata 2 or should I go for the previous model?
Nice video thank you! Yeah think I have the drone bug! Own the DJI mini 4 pro and Avata 2, both amazing drones for different situation. I am also from a gaming background and didn't take me long to get used to flying with the RC3 on my Avata 2 BUT I did a LOT of hours in the sims before I went full manual/acro. If I am flying normal/sport I will use thumbs, but when I change to manual I go pinch method, also helps me to remember I am in a different mode and my right stick (Mode 3) is for throttle now. Really thinking about getting the GEPRC MK5, looks amazing but do you think they will bring out updated version when O4 air unit drops? So I might wait for that!

great review, I started a few months ago with an Avata & dji controller 2. And this is the drone I have been looking at, and this review solidified the purchase. Quick question, is that the 4s or 6s?
Nice video! Is there even a deadcat version of IF's Nazgul Evoque yet?? I've looked but I haven't seen. Props in the video are a deal-breaker, and so is unnecessary weight of a gopro mini or bones added to a freestyle drone. I'll accept neither of those, and just do it right the first time with a complete 03 system onboard, thank you. Trinity, I believe we have found THE ONE....

Great video. You said it can fly 10-15 minutes in slow cinematic mode with Tatto 6S 1550mAh battery which weighs 256g. Is it really true? I understand that the freestyle drone is not designed for long flights, but I wonder what will happen if I put a Lion battery 18650 6S1P 3000mAh 66.6W, it weighs about 300g? then can it withstand a slow cinematic flight over a long distance? According to my calculations, this should give 22-27 minutes of flight. Also, for this, able to configure a separate mode with a limitation of the maximum engine power. Do you think it's possible? And then I'm tired of waiting for the new GepRC Crocodile5 or iFlight Chimera5
I would love to see 10-15 minutes on a lipo. You should post a video showing that while recording the OSD. Because 10-15 minutes just cruising on a 1550 lipo at 130c is unfathomable lol. Not saying it's impossible but seems unlikely.
