At the shop I used to work at, whenever we had those matte black wheels, they'd always look chalky after cleaning. Don't ask me how it helps, but we would use Sud Factory water spot remover, and it would get rid of a lot of that chalkiness.
Great great video Phil, can i ask please? When you turned from mobile to shop based, what you changed to your services/packages? I suppose wasn't easy to.perform full.correction and ceramic coatings as a mobile. You was offering interior/ exterior/ full details, and some AIO polish, or enchantments at rare? Thanks keepn
Thanks. The process was very gradual and we didn’t have to change our packages. We simply started to offer more polishing and ceramic coating options. The last place we where living also had a smaller garage and we were offering coatings there also. But with this bigger place we decided to slowly phase out mobile.
Thank you so much for this video Phil. I have black satin wheels on my truck and was wondering how to go about doing this. Is there anything more you can do about the sheen being faded short of repainting them? Maybe like a trim restorer type product?
I have been using work stuff brushes for three years and they are awesome. For years I have used D143 from Meguiars diluted 1:1 and it works well but I compared it to All Clean diluted 15:1. The All Clean removed more browning from the tires compared to D143. The spray on SI02 detail sprays work really well providing protection and they are so simple to spray on and spray off with a pressure washer. Hyper Dressing is still my favorite tire dressing but this category is evolving fast and I need to try more of the tire sealants on the market. Thank you for the video.
Hey if I use apc on a truck that have been through rain every wash and had mud and dirt stuck to little and bottoms sections of car I spray water on car and it get a little bit of dirt of could it be safe for me to spray apc 10 to 1 on the bottoms and little section on the truck every wash please answer really means a lot?
Hey Phil, I am currently using 3D eraser gel for water spots on tht windows of tht truck I'm doing. Have you ever used it and if so I'm using it like it says, but not working worth a darn. Any other recommendations? Thx Phil
Hi. Yes we have used that before. But not all water spots are the same. Usually we have to hit it with the water spot remover and then compound or polish the rest out. th-cam.com/video/8v6L7JwrKnI/w-d-xo.html
@@MirandaDetailing great video. Thx. I was using it properly, but two apps aren't doing it. I'll use some light compound and see what happens. Thx again‼️
I recently washed some matte bronze method wheels with wheel cleaner but those crevices that you mentioned looked worse than before, somehow the dirt and grime was covering the whitish finish of wear, i was scared for a second but i noticed it happened on all 4 wheels😅, keep up good sir love your videos
Loving Superior's Aqua Gloss. Mix it 50/50 and use a HVLP spray gun to apply. Very good price and can get it from any O'rielly's and not have to pay shipping.
So iron removal wheel cleaners are ph neutral so they are safe on all wheels. Not sure why some people think they are so strong. The purple reaction is slightly acidic and only lasts a minute or so and then goes back to ph neutral.
Nice big wheel. Gyeon has a wheel cleaner that has iron remover in it, I'm trying. Works ok, but kinda pricey. For the tires I use Super Clean in their foaming bottle at 100%. Works good. Tuff Shine tire brush. You've convinced me to buy assortment of Work Stuff brushes, and use orange one on wheels, followed up with microfiber towel to wash. Wheel wells/arches! Oh, man. Wheel and tire looks like a gem in the middle of a puddle of mud. Yeah, I scrub them good, but low and behold after a trip to the gas station and back, wheel wells are dirty. Can you protect with anything that actually works, to keep the area cleaner, or longer? God little video. Hi wife.
Hi. Thanks. Man I wish there was a product that would keep the vehicle clean while driving. Bit once you start driving there is no stopping the dirt from clinging to the vehicle. Just keep it washed on a regular basis.
Extremely useful information for hopefully a lot of people, Phil!
Happy new years Phil and So you don't miss stuff🧏

Hi. Thanks. Sometimes detailers use a trim product on them and it helps.

Hi Yes actaully thats how we pre clean before we contact wash. th-cam.com/video/99Px7xAcgTY/w-d-xo.html
Those wheels look to be a real challenge to clean, wish the wheel designer had to clean them as part of their design

I thought you couldn't use iron remover in matte wheels?
