I just need to say one thing: the setting/color grading in this video is A+.

I love the timing on this, feel like we're all developing our summer rolls hehe. Big same on the only taking pics of what you care about. I always just do one roll in the summer and only take pictures when it feels like a moment

The selfie one's a killer that you just have to learn the hard way 😅😅 love these tips, especially the lighting one!! I used an ISO 800 expecting to not need to use the flash in low lighting - boy was i wrong

Oh this was so helpful! I've been avoiding sending my last THREE rolls to develop hahah so you know I'm going to do something about it now 😅 🧡

I used to be a film girly, now loving digital cams again. 📷 Both give such cool effects

Just got my summer rolls back (still pretty new to film), and my advice after this round is to keep your lens clean, especially if your camera doesn't have a lens cover like mine...a little retouching can fix water drops or debris, but there's not much to do with an overall blurry shot 😬

SUCH good advice - I got a roll back this summer and you can tell there was a big smear across the lens 🥲

I wanted to get into photographing on film, but I have next to no experience. So I got the Rollei Prego 140 second hand and could not be happier! I’ve never had a picture not turn out well. It’s a very beginner friendly easy camera. It has auto focus and does not take a picture if the object is too close up or too bright. It also has auto flash, but the flash can be deactivated. I did originally want to get an older more mechanical camera, but I’m no photography nerd. I want the pictures and I want them to turn out nice without too much hassle so my Rollei Prego is perfect for me for now! :)

My biggest tip for beginners is for when you finish a roll, if you aren’t sure you’ve wound the film back into the roll correctly, stop! Don’t open the camera! Wait, and take it to a developer so they can remove the film without damaging it. I wasted two entire rolls because I thought I’d rewound it correctly, opened the back to swap the film over, and exposed all of my film to the sun. It was devastating 😖

I think it's worth it to spend a little more on an automatic point and shoot cause it rolls the film for you and you don't have to change each time you take a picture and I can choose to have flash or not on mine too!

My personal rule for film is: people not things. Film is special and I want pics of my people! I can take pics of things with my phone

Thank you so much for this video!! I got a film camera last autumn and haven't finished even shooting my first roll because I'm so intimidated by it. Out of curiosity, do you have any recommendations in London for having your photos processed?

I found these very useful, I’ve made these mistakes as well! so annoying to be looking forward to a certain picture just to find out it’s out of focus 🥲 hehe
