What an interesting vlog. We were part of the audience of the newlywed game in the early 70s. A classmate of mine also was a contestant on the dating game & got to choose her date for the evening. She said it was boring and they were chaperoned throughout the whole evening probably because they were under age. Thanks Jordan for your. wealth of information and the sacrifice you made while recovering from your hand surgery. ❤️🙏🏻

Wow!....I stayed at the Hotel Elaine across the street for a long stay in the 70's....I knew there was TV going on there but wasn't sure what....I would sunbathe on the roof never knowing the history of that TV facility. The Brown Derby restaurant was up Vine closer to Hollywood Blvd....and I saw The Merv Griffin Show across the street from there (Brook Shields was his guest). I also wasn't aware of the history of the Hotel Elaine (Man-Ray lived there). Maybe this hotel is worth a look inside for you!

Very interesting Jordan. I worked with Johnny's nephew at Nordstrom Southcenter in Seattle. He worked in the shoe department and I would frequently catch up with him in our break room.. This was in the 90's and Johnny was retired and feeling ill, spending a lot of time on his boat for the fresh air. His nephew certainly resembled him, particularly his gait.

Prior to being known as CBS 2, Channel 2 (KCBS 2 Los Angeles) had the call letters KNXT 2 Los Angeles. I worked for ABC in Los Angeles and made a few trips to this locale (before Disney klobbered ABC). KCBS Radio (AM) is in San Francisco.
The Hollywood Palace Variety show was shot there in the 60s at the old ABC studio and where that bank stand is the old NBC Radio City last time I checked in the basement of that bank a lot of the old NBC radio equipment in in the basement
I just started watching your videos. I will be back in Hollywood in December. I only have 1 question. How safe is it to walk down Hollywood Blvd. I am planning on walking from Dunes Inn on Sunset clear over to Labrea and back.
