I’m 51 years old. I took my daughter to the “Red” tour back in 2012 when she was 11 at the time. Easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a LOT of shows. Still a fan and it’s been been great to hear her new versions of these songs.
This woman is so important, she’s still standing up for herself despite being the main punching bag for sexism in the music industry/ media in the last 15 years.

I don't think people get Taylor enough credit. Listening to fans and what they would enjoy seems like an obvious thing but goddamn it does not happen enough from content creators (TV show writers I'm looking at you). She manages to do what she loved but also listens to her fans and has stayed relevant for so long by being smart about it.

nothing new is my favorite vault track from red, I first listened to it being 22 and going through a lot with work and heartbreaks and family issues and the line "how can a person know everything at 18 but nothing at 22" is a universal experience when you are fresh out of college and feel lost in what you should be doing. God I love this woman.

I've noticed that people (even if they're big successful stars) who tend to be a bit uncomfortable and shy in interviews seem to really feel safe and flourish being interviewed by Seth. I'm 62 years old and did not become enthralled with this brilliant young woman and her very entrancing story telling and genius business savvy intelligence until maybe the last 2 years?! She is absolutely amazingly talented in so many ways much more than just singing. This is an example for all people to look up to. She's one of the hardest working people on this planet and still manages to be KIND to others. What I found so telling of this young lady is, when her body guards spoke too harshly to Taylor's fans to get back, Taylor realized and said loud enough for her guards to hear "PLEASE get back" That spoke volumes to me about this young ladies integrity and genuine kindness.

One time not long ago, I was feeling low, sitting on a train. To cheer myself up I played out an entire conversation in my head where I explained the background and the whole re-recording story to a friend. It felt just awesome and put a smile on my face :)
