thank you for the share. had to learn this song quick and your straight ahead shot of fret board and pluck'n fingers was all i needed. much respect to you and people like you who do this service!
i can't read tabs or anything, i rlly wanna learn this song, i transfred from electric guitar to bassguitar couple of days ago and my fingers are killing me, atm im forced using a plectrum or my fingers will jump off my hands and hide
That was a great cover, but if I can suggest somethin' to make it even cooler: play that B Octave thing by slidin' up real fast and back down on the same string (E) You kinda lost some of the dramatic effect of it by skippin' down to the D string for the Hi B. Listn close to the recordin; I think you'll hear it. I thought it was a rockin' cover though & that's my favorite part for the bass in that song.
kal skiratta the reason people think that is because of the game mafia3. The main character is Lincoln and he came from the Vietnam war and there's types of drug missions to do in it.
Bass is much more than that Check Rush songs the bass have the biggest part in the band and there's alot examples too but you are right if you mean in simple songs
That's great stuff...I get what you are doing..but that b e etc...rhythmic pattern is fast! Does it take much practice to get that it that quick? Well done
Wasn't this song orginally recorded with an 8 string bass? I remember hearing some oddball fact like that about it,either way killer song,I've always wanted to do a metal cover of it,awesome chops though bro!
Actually only the US version of Aftermath included PIB. It lost 4 of the original, UK album's, tracks: two classics (Mother's Little Helper and Under My Thumb) and two forgettable fillers (What To Do and Take It Or Leave It). Just for info. Nice cover, either way!
I am literally having an eargasm! I just love this song's baseline!
I don't know how u can hear that bass from the original record, because as with most old Stones the bass is almost none existant.
bass was virtually buried in most of the music from this era.
@@dalewarner6652 mainly due to technical limitations, as much as people glorify old media, it slaughtered any bass from the track
check out "I Wanna Be Your Man"
@@dalewarner6652 bass buried in most rock songs from every era, unfortunately
I'm pretty sure Billy Wyman used an organ instead of a bass on this one specifically
Nice touch of playing the 2 short stops in between bass lines there at 0:13
Nailed it! Black and white filming. Nice touch.
That was a pretty clean play through

Great bassline! I have watched this 100 times, but can't tell what you are playing in the bridge at "in their summer clothes". I looks like E E B D ?

Nicely done. I love it! :-)
i don't see why people think this song is about Vietnam or drugs. if you listen to the words its very clear what its about.
kal skiratta about black paint
It's about depression.
kal skiratta the reason people think that is because of the game mafia3. The main character is Lincoln and he came from the Vietnam war and there's types of drug missions to do in it.

no such thing as incorrect a good bass player will make it their own and not copy the original .. enough said
