I always like when a video shows the fixes that didn't work - makes me feel less of a victim when it doesn't work for me either! Mine has always refused to do the little drop/raise when you open the drivers door so I get wind noise, this method did fix the passenger side though. My switches are somehow wired up so that the drivers switch operates the passenger window etc. God knows what the previous owner did to get that to happen.
Thanks for clarifying the difference between the half-switch for manual operation and the auto-up/down function. I've tried this previously but when the instructions said not to use the auto function I assumed it meant not to click the switch and let go and let the window go all the way up on its own automatically, so i was still pressing the switch fully up/down which is wrong. That "reset button" confused me too as its not a button as such but actually just a bit of rubber that pushes against a little spinning wheel and stops it moving with the window motor, and the motor uses that to calculate where the window is somehow.

For anybody looking at this in the future, you don't have to do all of this. Do you have to do the reset procedure from the Master switch on the driver side. I have a video on it as well

I wish I found this 10yrs ago 😜😭 Mine is drivers side and had panel off 2x time over course of issue. Didn't know reset switch. My problem is intermittent - sometimes it could be pressure during heat day. My workaround is to not got ALL way up, just schoshe 😱 Thanks for tutorial 👍
Got the same problem, gonna try this soon. In the meantime I found a quick fix to get the window all the way up temporarily. From the driver's side, with the passenger door closed, use the non-automatic function to put the window all the way up. Keep holding the switch on, then turn off the key. The window stays up, at least for a while...should get you through a sudden rainstorm or such.

A shop quoted me over $500 for this to finish my safety, I did it myself in an hour and all he said was “you’re just a tryer you know everything’s gotta cost money” same day I went to another shop cause he wanted me to pay for the window after I MYSELF fixed it and he couldn’t
that’s how the shops be they tried charging me 300 to replace my valve cover gaskets and i did it myself

so if the motor is completely out and needs replacing this wont work? my window clicks when i try to roll it down but passenger window wont roll down at all and it doesnt fall down like this but i wasnt sure if it still might fix my problem

I’m thinking of buying a 2005 350z with 100k miles what are your thoughts
A 2005 350z with 100k miles could be a great car! I would definitely check the oil level and ask when the last change was done. Some of the 2005 and 2006 cars are known to burn a little more oil. The VQ engine has been super reliable, and will run well over 200k miles if kept up on the oil and maintenance! Plus, they've got quite a bit of power! Can't go wrong🙌 Let me know what you decide! :)

any help for a window that doesnt move at all? no sound from the motor either..
Hey! That's interesting, a few things to check would be: see if the window lowers just slightly when you open the door. They're supposed to go down just a bit to clear the trim piece. If it does go down, it may be the switches inside the car. Try and hold the unlock button on your key-fob for 5 seconds and see if the windows will go down. I read someone having similar issues and it turned out to be their door switches and not the window! Hope it help, let me know what you come across!
I wonder if anyone knows how to fix this problem. I replaced the motor on my window, and now whenever i close the door, it gous UP by itself, even with the roof down. Any thoughts? thank you

I'm with you my friend haha swapping the window motor only took my 30mins from taking out the first bolts, to putting the last bold back in! Definitely worth the time. Appreciate your comment Austyn!!
