    Nice vid man, I just picked up an 83 gl1100 and it’s got a slight tap/tick from one of the right cylinders. Would loose or tight valves cause that sorta noise?

    • @blastworks
      @blastworks  ปีที่แล้ว

      It for sure can cause that type of noise. Definitely worth your while to check on it!

    My friend I have 5 .6 volts in each yellow terminal you think my stator is ok ?

    • @blastworks
      @blastworks  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd recommend checking the manual for the bike as it would have the expected voltages and resistances contained within. You can find a copy of the GL1100 maintenance manual in the Manuals section of my website, www.blastworks.net

    Is there anyway to contact you in regards to getting some insight. I have an issue with my 82 gl1100 and don’t have any idea where to start

    What are using to rotate the motor from behind the starter ? I see you removed the bolt but what’s the fit

    • @blastworks
      @blastworks  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not a bolt, that's a cover to get at the bolt within. The bolt within is either 14mm or 17mm, I can't remember off hand. Just make sure you turn it the right way (tighten) or you could potentially loosen off the bolt in the alternator.

    Valve adjustment 89 on the Gold wing geal 1500

    • @blastworks

      Hey Mike, not sure I understand your comment. Are you asking if it would be the same for a GL1500?

    • @blastworks
      @blastworks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it would mostly be the same process. I'd double check the goldwing forums just in case the clearances are different!

    Great information. Great video! I tried your link for the manual on your website but the link didn't work for me.

      Hey Luke! Thanks for the heads up. I recently updated all of my webservers to use HTTPS but left the old link. If you hit my website now and click on the Manuals link, it should work as expected!

    • @blastworks
      @blastworks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No need to drain the oil for this! There will be a little oil under the valve covers but that's it!
