Thanks Janis, for your great voice and your performance from the soul, every time I hear this song I remember the feelings for my first love, full of honesty and I can not help this stage of my life.
@kettleroland656@ Do we know each other? I am very surprised ! because of one word of appreciation for a song by yanis jan do you want to be a friend of mine ????😀😀 but this song is really so beautifully interpreted with so much soul......unique Janis Yan !❤
Lucinda Williams says she doesn't mind the deterioration of her voice that's occurred over the years because, she says, now she can hear each word she sings in a voice filled with textures she hadn't known before -- because they had not been there -- her authentic voice. That's also my feeling about Janis Ian's voice now -- when I hear it, what I love about it is that I can tell that she has lived every word she sings. Like another woman wrote, "Something's lost but something's gained In living every day." Lucinda Williams -- Janis Ian -- Joni Mitchell -- three grace notes in our lives. I am grateful.
@@ernestgilbert364 YOU I agree with, based on what Janis has said of her own vocals. I have just been a fan of hers far too long to accept a critique of someone else stating "deterioration" in her vocals. They have changed, not worse just changed.
Timeless perfection Thanks for posting for an artist that deserves far more credit than most I discovered this song on the b side of seventeen xxxxxxxxxxx
"And if you don't lose patience with my fumbling around
I'll come up singing for you even when I'm down" 💙
Beautifully done.
Profound, breath taking. Real. Beautiful.

Her voice deteriorated

God she's amazing

Not deteriorated. I rather take offense at that term - a fan since I'm 14, maybe that's why. Her vocals have evolved.
@@LauraMalek-qd5dp we all become dust. no reason to be offended
