  • CS:GO has flaws, poor server quality in Matchmaking, cheaters, and some random elements that hurt gameplay. To compete with Counter-Strike, Valorant fixed a lot of the problems by innovating the genre, which is ONLY GOOD for people who like tactical shooters, even if you prefer CS:GO or Rainbow Six: Siege.
valarante child game.... look to cartoon grapfix to make kid player happy like children show.. valarante cartoon world with rainbow unlike counter strike chad with dark corridorr and raelistic gun.. valarante like playhouse. valarant playor run from csgo fear of dark world and realism

The best part about Valorant is that even though you get people who don't communicate a single word or ping, their agent will call automatically if they see enemies.

Can tell it would be a lot less intimidating for the newer players or general players who are not hardcore FPS players etc. CSGO is steep man. On valorant the powers and abilities, if you have a decent idea how to use them, you don't need to have the best aim, Strat can be interesting too. Team play, still win matches. When I played my first CSGO game after only playing casual, I was completely lost. In Val, its the exact same so everything you learn as you learn the game applies to the main core of the game. Also, while the skins are pricy and unsellable, they are still cheaper. I have a knife in valorant. I spent 10 dollars for a battlepass. Additionally, I like the graphics better and everything about what it does better is true. Valorant is polished. They have improved on almost every factor that is shared with Counter Strike (except maybe the rng sprays and the dumbed down source movement). Especially at the beginning where people hadn't learned how to deal with abilities properly yet, it was extremely refreshing to play, cause a shot in the head would actually land in the head.
Fast forward a year though, Valorant seems to have a lot larger focus on abilities and agent metas than it used to. This just isn't that fun to me, and I suspect the same to be true for many other people.
So now we're stuck between a game that at it's core gameplay level is amazing and smart and fun to play, but has a company behind it that doesn't give a shit about their game, and on the other side a game that is (for many people) flawed in its gameplay concept, but improves in the mechanics drastically, and has a very passionate, active and communicative dev team behind it.

Its inevitible for these types of games to focus around agent abilities and agent metas because in the end its what makes them unique from the compeitors without characters. The only exception i can think of is Rainbow6 Seige, but even then it still matters, just not as much in say Valorant, Overwatch, or LoL.
Contrary to many of the opinoins of some CS and Valorant fans, it just comes down to taste, not that one game is better than the others. Some people like the aspects brought in byu Valo being a character shooter, and some people like the aspects brought in by CS being on the more realistic side of things. Neither are wrong, just different tastes in what people like in games.

@@BromTeque IMO Valorant's skill ceiling is quite higher. Sure, in CSGO you have being able to master a spray pattern that is the same for every gun as well as learning lineups for utility but in Valorant, there is so much to learn because of the number of characters. You have to learn what each character does and learn how to play at least a few of them effectively and learn when and where it is best to use their utility. You still have to learn a variety of lineups for certain characters which are essential for playing that character but here, no character shares the same lineups. You also have to learn to be mindful of every character's abilities and react to the agents the opposing team chooses, which can affect the angles you hold, what you use your utility on, what sites you put players on, etc. And there are a number more things that you have to worry about in Valorant that just don't exist in CSGO.

this is the case with every single gun fight in cs or val there is ALWAYS luck
I don't like random sprays but the logic "luck is bad in esports" makes no sense when it has always bee there
Heck even ping can cause luck and make it so you are at a disadvantage
really a 1v1 against players of equal skill is decided by who had their crosshair in the right place before the fight happened
e.g some siege pros aim crouch height and flick up to head height

Does Valorant still have RNG horizontal spray and RNG shotgun spray? I tried it a few months ago but I wasn't a fan, especially not for all the stupid hero shooter crap. Can't even throw a smoke grenade if the smoke character gets picked, the game did my fucking head in.
I also felt like it needed more casual modes, say what you want about CS:GO 10v10 casual not being balanced but it's hella fun to have two massive teams against each other, and the casual nature gives you a nice environment to learn the map layouts. Valorant had barely any gamemodes when I played, really disappointing.

So if anything was altered it would be detected as BIOs are what controls the OS(operating system) this system has no way to stop an externally added program. A second computer using a live feed set up to feed to a second computer and send back to the main computer as a mouse input ie trigger bot with a 1ms response time which is the perfect roll back time for the netcode to make it undetectable. There are many other aspects to this method but this is just the simplest way since there is no way to ban a pre-programmed macro like from your mouse, same concept.

The problem I've had with CSGO when coming back to it after a few years of not playing seriously is the ranking system they added a few years back and the hotboxes not matching up with the player skins. It makes it really annoying to be destroyed by a smurf in current-age silver who has a massive player model and hat but a tiny hitbox so my shots just look like they aren't connecting. Doesn't seem to matter if I carry or bottom frag, whether I play sometimes or a lot of times, it just seems like I randomly rank up or down. Really discouraging.

The only point I really disagree with you on is the spawning/chokepoints arguement. Yes, random spawns aren't great, but I definitely don't think Valorant's system is the way to go. Dumbing down the initial engagement into essentially a randomised 1v1 arena is tactically devoid and boring. The majority of a csgo round is the build up. It's the suspense of not knowing whether they're just around the corner. It's tactically gaining as much information as you can before the engagement to maximise your odds. There's a story unfolding in every round, and it's very exciting to see.
With Valorant, I feel like the round just throws you in and it's almost over right as it starts. So many 'CT' rounds in Valorant was just "3,2,1, GO ....... they're not here, better rotate" and by the time I've trudged my way across the horribly designed maps, it's just retaking. I feel like there's no tactics, no build up, no suspense, and no story. Set spawn points in cs would probably be better, if it's current system is a problem, but I personally don't think it is.

try watching just a few rounds, maybe 6 rounds of a pro tourney. Just like in CS, most of the time (if ppl have brains) they have to get info, bait enemies into thinking something, and have multiple strats per match. Sure if you're in lower ranks, im pretty sure everyone's rushing one site. But you don't win by rushing. You have to find info, cut noise, bait a site, etc. I do think that there are really boring matches, but there are also really hype matches in valorant. In CS, pretty much every match you can expect to be pretty fun and some spikes, but in valorant, it's both boring and stupidly exciting sometimes. There are some moments that I wouldn't never think of in CS, same for CS to val.

  • @BeatCrazey

Great video! The last part also sums up really well about how I feel about these tac-shooters, with how each one does its own thing better than the other while introducing their own problems, yet we can't have a perfect mix of all. I just wish you went a bit deeper on why Valve should introduce a higher tickrate on official servers because while it is technically better than 64, a sizeable portion of the playerbase accross the globe would not be able to take advantage or even handle the increased stream of data, at least according to Valve Dev John McDonald. Hell, even Valorant only has an Update Rate of 73. However, Premier should definately be 128 tick to make true competitive Counter-Strike even more accessible than having to go through the hassle of playing on third party servers, and they should definitely fix some of the weirdness and inconsistencies that occur when playing the game at a higher tickrate, such as the different grenade jump throw trajectories, slightly faster recoil recovery rate, etc.
Anyway, fantastic analysis and video :)

I thought I would switch completely to Valorant full time when it first came out because of these things that it fixes from CSGO, but at the end of the day it's about the gameplay. The more I played, the more I realized CS gameplay is the best. It's just so pure. I don't like all of the visual clutter. I don't like the randomness in the spray patterns. I don't like how easy it is to use utility. I don't like toxic 14 year olds in all of my games. I much prefer toxic 20 somethings lol. That being said, I hope CSGO continues to learn and improve from the things that Valorant does better, because they do a lot right.

Agreed. Learning to use smokes, flashes and nades is a skill like learning spray patterns. This creates a nice and clear difficulty curve that goes up with rank. In Valorant there seems to be a huge mess of unequally skilled players in the middle ranks.

Also shooting (especially tapping, and spraying, and bursting, basically everything) in Valorant is way worse, especially if your ping is higher than 70 ms. Mine is 90 in csgo, 150 in Valorant. Then they say Valorant has better net code. No, it doesn’t, plus Valorant has worse lag compensation, the delays are fkin bizarre.

The way I see it, it greatly benefits everyone in the team to learn grenades and that for me, a player that can't be bothered to spend the time to learn them and just wants to out aim their opponent, is not really a good thing, I certainly miss out by not learning them. Now on the other hand, I can jump into Valorant, insta pick Reyna and leave the smokes and whatnot for my teammates to deal with while I just click on their heads without feeling like I am missing out on anything.

The thing with the utility is that in valorant the agents are futuristic with high-tech gadgets so them having airstrike smokes and out of body utility usage makes sense.
In CSGO, the CT's and T's are more modern with modern technology. It would be unrealistic for them to be able to smoke via a satellite of sorts. If that were to happen, then the next logical step would be to implement characters with special abilities which turns csgo into valorant.
I do agree with cross map pings though that should be implemented and wouldn't break immersion.
