bad idea. first off the kill feed was already disabled and was only enabled during the demos when he was flying around and recording. but the no crosshair wouldve made everyone use awps scouts and cod guns and the gameplay wouldve been very dull.

Yeah I’m kinda disappointed they didn’t remove the kill feed as well. This is one of the things that would make the most difference. Except for the radar, the rest are mostly there for QoL.

CSGO but Everyone uses the same weapon the whole game. (Chosen at beginning)
CSGO but EVERYTIME you kill someone you HAVE to pick up their weapon to be able to shoot anybody else.
CSGO but the radar is constantly on so you always know where your enemies are.
CSGO but you can only use decoy grenades. (Infinite ammo and 1hp)

You dont understand the problem. Its not that silvers dont use the radar, its that globals dont use communication.
I actually proposed praccing without the radar back with my old team to improve communication, but somehow people didnt understand the reasoning behind it.

@@Ran10di1 its not that its the games fault, but people just dont understand how to use it correctly. Back in 1.6 the radar was basically useless except for the general direction and checking which floor your mates are on on nuke.
Back in that old team, our top fragger couldnt understand why its a problem that I have to check the minimap instead of the angle Im holding because he didnt talk. No need to say Im not playing with him anymore...

Its amazing how valuable that information is that the HUD provides. At a mimimum I'd want to keep the mini scoreboard and loadout.

This reminded me of the first 5 hours of my csgo career, when I was changing settings and turned off my hud and played about 5 casual games until I realized this is not how you play csgo

I feel like disabling the kill feed would be a plus for this video. Killing a guy though smoke or wall without having any idea of doing it would lead into hesitantions during clutches providing funny moments
we tried but disabling the kill feed also disabled the crosshair so... yeah

No crosshair is a bit extreme, but I was disappointed to see the kill feed. You shouldn't be able to tell if you just sprayed down 3 people through smoke
and friendly fire does the same amount of damage than enemy fire, true hardcore

@@Gkkiux agreed. the killfeed kinda seemed to ruin the point for me. I get leaving crosshair since there's no ADSing in CS (and its easy to cheat around)
Back when I was playing competitive Insurgency (very small scene) the setup was a lot like this in many ways. We also didn't have a kill feed, so when you'd confirmed a kill, it was customary to call "minus one".
People in CS find it amusing that I do that, but I'll show them.

guaranteed drops are impossible because bot accounts would mob up, automatic wallking script with aimbot, they would farm these drops.

Real Life Mode: 25hp, no hud, no killfeed, no talking after dead, lowered walking speed and jump height
Running speed should stay the same (running and walking are different) and the more heavier weapons you buy the slower you move
There would also be sprinting and last but not least: running or sprinting up or down stairs would slow you down
(Sprinting is just running but faster)
being slower because of how much you carry is actually a thing thanks to danger zone

@@TheWarOwl there is a server full of bots using aimbot somewhere or a modded one with airstrikes and everything and no i'm not talking about sandstorm.
It reminds me of playing hardcore team deathmatch back in cod modern warfare 2 days where it taught me to hear enemies and know common spots and not rely on the minimap and red dots.

You should also disable kill notification on the top right corner, this way you will never know if you killed someone until u see the body.
And also disable the crosshair.
by disabling crosshair you provoke people to both taking close range eco rounds and with saved money buy augs, scouts etc scoped weapons. I don't think its fair in game of csgo to remove crosshair since most weapons don't have ADS
@@samamies88 not sure but I think if the crosshair is off, the dot in the AUG's/SG553's scope also disappears...

I realize I'm necro-posting but I think that only disabling radar, the players alive count, and the score tab can be a great way for teams to build communication and teamwork. It would help to learn call-outs, relying on your teammates, remembering what's happening, and understanding the match internally.

Nice, looks epic. I play Verdun a lot with all HUD off and totally agree with you that playing that way makes you a better player. You have to learn to realy on your senses instead of some minimap that takes away your attention all the time.

I did a video like this with no HUD as well, but instead of just removing the HUD I removed being able to see where you're aiming at so it looks like how CoD hardcore looks like. It ends up becoming more like a who-can-adjust-their-spray-first kinda game, reckon that kind of system for a 5v5 comp match would be pretty interesting

"counting to five wouldnt be so bad.." makes me think of myself when I started playing quake champions without any experience in those games, timing the items is so hard even tho you just have to +30 seconds when you pick it up :D
So thats how G2 plays when someone plants the bomb, I realize now it must me truly difficult. Thank you WarOwl now I love G2 more than ever.
I think the best way to play this is to say position callouts and memorizing player models

if im not wrong, there an audio feature inside the game from danger zone update that position ur voice base from your exact position in the map to the guy who receive/hear your voice, like a real life radio, i think it can be usefull in this type of mode
I think its better to know the Game score, to keep know how long the game is, or how important the round you about to play next
and remove killfeeds for more challenge like in Insurgency

Very cool video, I'd love for you to make a video about comming back to csgo after a long break, what to focus on, what to train, what to watch out for. Your videos have helped me a lot along the way, I have successfully climbed to DMG like two years ago, but now I feel lost, I train my aim and gain experience but I still feel off...
You should do this no HUD gamemode with no COM after death, and proximity voice chat with enemies!
