thank you, you've helped me with starting 3d printing. before watching you, i had no idea how to do anything. watching other people was very confusing, but you helped me out. thank you again.
Excellent review, I just purchased one.
Thanks for the peak. This one of the few dealing with the adventurer lite which I wanted to see. On the spool issue, this is the same deal on the base adventurer and Thingiverse has a number of solutions for the spool if you want to go standard size. You'll also find some dual-fan vent solutions, some people raised concerns the single vent is problematic on some prints. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this nifty printer.
its the automatic bed leveling that caught my eye. I think im going to get this
Super cool indeed, we just got one for our Fpv flying, we have subscribed 😎
I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas.
i just bought that 3d printer i love it!!!!!!
Great review
Just got one that needed repair. fixed it for 11$ and happy af :)
This is a follow up question. Does this print in TPU by any chance?
Can you use diffrent colors at once while printing ?
Thanks for the video! I'm a STEM teacher trying to find a new 3d printer for my classroom. (I inherited a DaVinci Mini from a previous teacher and it's TERRIBLE!) Does the Adventurer 3 Lite have USB connectivity? Can I send straight from computer to printer via usb rather than wifi?
Sure does! I think it'd be a great addition to your classroom. Feel free to check out our website for more teacher & classroom-friendly robotics ideas! www.learnrobotics.org
Can you 3d print a custom filament holder and use non Flash forge PLA ?
Yes, you can. There are filament holders on Thingiverse. I've used Gizmo Dorks PLA and ABS with it (amzn.to/3dLSQtu), and it's been fine! I pay a bit more for the smaller spools so I don't have to mess with it. (convenience factor is definitely a plus.)
I really enjoyed your review of this printer. I am new to this whole world so I am having a hard time figuring the best place to spend my money. I don't feel comfortable assembling most of the printers out there so something like this that is ready to go is very appealing. Looking at the Adventurer 3 vs. the Lite version there is a $150 price difference but it sounds like you actually get more bang for your buck with the Lite version. $150 is still $150 right? What do you think?
I think if you want the camera and filament sensor, you should get the Adventurer 3. If you don't care and would rather save $150, get the Lite.
Might get one for my birthday
Do it!
@@LearnRobotics ok
Hi great video...my question is where is flashcloud gone ?? cannot seem to find it ?
not sure! it's possible they moved it under a different domain. FlashForge docs may have some info
I’m confused on the FlashPrint, which FlashPrint does the Adventure 3 lite use? If you could respond that would fix my problems
You can use any of them! When this video was shot, the version in the video was the current version.
Is the Adventurer quiet? So if I leave it printing to my office next to the bedroom would you say I could hear the printer?
One of the quietest printers I've owned/used.
what is the size of filament it can do on the wheel and how many items can it print on 1 wheel
0.5 kg spool fits
well done video.
This is a great printer! I have the Adventure 3 (Pro?) and there are a few designs on Thingiverse to overcome the spool issue. Great review btw
Thanks Devon! Glad you like your printer and enjoyed the review!
please do a review on the nozzles, I will be very grateful
Simple - Awesome nozzles, no leak, better than any hobby kit I've used.
What is the software name that I have to download it to hook everything up to the computer with?
FlashPrint - you can get it on FlashForge's website as a download
How do you know which version of Flashprint to get?
I chose the most recent version for my computer's OS
Would this be good for a small commercial print farm?
Really depends on the size of the objects you're printed (and material). But, yes perhaps.
Hello!
Can you provide us with an update on how this printer is doing? Did you run into any problems at all? I am trying to decide on a 3d printer.
It' still runs great! I've printed a lot of jobs varying from 20 min to 6 hours. I wrote an article about my experience with it here: bit.ly/3fQz9Tl
@@LearnRobotics Thank you so much for the update!
@@LearnRobotics The tough part is, I don't even know how large I want to print. haha
@@dbaekd That's a challenge for sure. I'd say if you have the $ to spend, try it out and see if you like 3D printing. You could always buy another (more expensive) printer later if you find yourself using it a lot.
@@LearnRobotics Great, thanks for the link and the advice!
can we use with solidworks ? because SW doesn't export gx files
Export as an STL in SolidWorks, then use FlashPrint to generate the .gx file (proprietary to FlashForge printers). This article can help: www.learnrobotics.org/blog/convert-stl-g-code-3d-printing/
Waite So a Channel with under 2K Subs Can get a 3D Printer Sent to them for Free?
highly unlikely in all honesty. I don't do youtube content so maybe these companies some how view 2k followers differently but i've known people with 100k+ well spoken and other sponsors not be able to get a company to send for free stuff out over 100$ let a lone a 2k andy getting something 250$+ but cheers to them if they did somehow but i call cap.
@Dillon Davis random af comment that doesn't have anything to do with the vid or any of our posts.
How do you stop it from printing the base?
There's a setting to shut off rafts and skirts. Disable that and it will stop printing those layers.
Thnk thnk thnk, you soo much!!!
Does it come with a filament?
Yes, they sent me a few spools. Not sure if that's standard though.
Autodetects filament just as adventurer 3???
No. That doesn't come with the lite version, just like the camera.
does it have a auto leveling bed?
It comes calibrated from the factory. Should be level and good to go out of the box.
Is to good on printing TPU?
I wouldn't recommend printing tpu on this printer due to the bowden tube setup. More often than not you'll want to go with a direct drive setup for tpu
Good video. However, NO I could not hear how loud the printer was running because of super loud background music.
the printer isn't very loud - quieter than most dishwashers for example
What makes it 'lite;?
No built-in camera. No filament sensor.
Bro did you just leak your own ip
Edit: Thats dangerous
Mine came without a felimant wheel lol
Good review. I'm new to all of this can I use this to print out a girlfriend or boyfriend? I mean a robot one not one made of flesh and blood because that would be crazy. And if I can do this how to I make it so they try to kill me and humanity? I do plan to be a very good boyfriend to them so I'm hoping my love of robots will keep them from killing all humans especial me. In fact as long as they don't kill me I be okay with that.
Gruntstyle!
Cults3d
why the hell would you put music over every single shot that would show how loud the thing is?
It's not that loud. It is much quieter than many other printers.
Apparently it's only 45db
Lol what 3d printer doesn't have a power switch? You got swindled if you think that
Actually a lot of the OG 3D printer kits don't have a power switch. Circa 2016 and the Anet A8 ;)
the easy threed nano doesnt have a power switch do to its small size.
You completely skip over loading the filament which is specifically why I came here. The hell?
