Felix. Grabbing us all by the throat. He is also our Sunshine.
I'm a 50+ year old Stay who absolutely LOVES this group. Believe me, I was one who slept on kpop for YEARS and never thought it would take over my playlists. Yeah, well, a year later I am HOOKED. Their
talent is out of this world. They are a group with one of the deepest discographies. You'd be hard-pressed to find something you don't like. There really is something for everyone.
Flash forward and I've seen them 3x and have inhaled just about everything regarding SKZ. My husband is a fan of anything they produce that he can work out to. His playlist includes:
    Miroh
    Victory Song
    Easy
    Domino
    Maniac
    Thunderous
    Circus

Album wise, Oddinary and Maxident are no skip for me
Enjoy the journey. Their music is fantastic!

Welcome to Stray Kids! They are self producing by three members called 3racha (leader Bang Chan, and the two first rappers Changbin and Han) and Bang Chan handpicked all the members which is rare in Kpop. There are no fixed positions and all members can dance rap and sing.
Yes that was Felix with the deep voice and yes that is really him. He is our enigma. Beautiful face, deep ass voice and sunshine personality. He makes it really hard not to like him and honestly he is the not so secret weapon for Stray Kids as he tends to pull a lot of new fans with that vocal surprise.
Stray Kids tend to go pretty hard though they do have beautiful vocal heavy songs as well. Thunderous, Venom, Maniac and Easy are probably really good choices for you though honestly you can't go wrong with them. They love to play with sounds and genres of music. You never know from one song to the next what you are in for. The lyrics they write are deep and meaningful. They talk often about how they want their fans (Stay) to be able to connect emotionally with the music. They write about mental health issues and realities we all face. And they are really funny, talented guys. Members not listed above in 3racha are the other two "rachas" or subunits:
Danceracha consisting of Lee Know, Hyunjin and Felix and Vocalracha consisting of Seungmin and the baby of the group I.N. (pronounced like the letters not the word) and a former member Woojin was also in vocalracha and will be in videos prior to Oct 2019.

I also come from a rock and metal background. Straykids God's Menu hit me like a bolt of lightening, and I've loved them ever since. Their song are about doing their own thing and not caring what other people think. Songs I listened to when I first got into them that I recommend is, Easy, Thunderous, Cheese, and Venom, all of these songs hit hard. Stray Kids gets alot of hate because people think their music is noisy. But Stray Kids embraces the noise and knocks out bangers every time.

They're my ultimate boy group and can never fail in my eyes. They're known for their self-producing talents, and their experimental hype beats but have a diverse discography. All of the members can rap and sing which gives them an opportunity to experiment and have chaotic energy that is very uplifting. Yes, you definitely can say whatever you want. Stray Kids do everything themselves, compose, produce. Bang Chan or Chris, the leader hand picked the boys to be in this group. Usually the agencies decide who and how many will be in the group.
I’m glad they are your favourites so far. They are young geniuses, they can all rap, sing and dance.
I listened to rock my entire life but went dormant after Linkin Park.
What finally woke me up was BIGBANG (I think you’ll like their song Bang Bang Bang). They are 2nd generation which means they are older than the groups you watched. There’s about 6 years in age difference between each generation. Their fan base are called VIP, they’re still young though they are in their mid thirties. I went down the rabbit hole with them.
I tried third generation (BTS, Blackpink) but it wasn’t hitting me in the right spot.
Then we get to 4th generation and I discovered Stray Kids. There’s about 10 years difference in age but like BIGBANG they do everything themselves. Their fan name is Stay. They have a way of composing great hooks to their melodies that hook you in.
District 9 was their debut song.
    Enjoy!

As a fellow rock music lover, I adore Stray Kids. Their leader Bang Chan (aka Chris) selected the members which is extremely rare in k-pop groups. They are self-producing by their core team 3racha (like Sriracha sauce; members incl Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) is responsible for the composition, lyrics, arrangement, and production of their music. They work very hard and love what they do. The other members also have writing and composing credits on various songs in their discography including unit songs (multiple members but not the whole group) and solo songs.
They pull from and combine so many different genres of music that it creates such a unique sound. Add in the fact that each member can sing, rap, and dance proficiently and their talent is overwhelming. My recommendations for high energy songs by album are:
    Mixtape (Pre-debut):
    - GRR (Beware)
    - YAYAYA
    - Hellevator
    I Am Not:
    - District 9 (Debut song)
    I Am Who:
    - My Pace
    Cle 1: MIROH:
    - MIROH
    - Victory Song
    - Maze of Memories
    Cle: Levanter:
    - Double Knot (MUST SEE!!!)
    Go Live:
    - Easy
    - TA
    - TOP
    - Pacemaker
    In Life:
    - The Tortoise and the Hare
    - Back Door
    - Any
    - We Go (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han aka 3racha)
    ALL IN (Japanese album):
    - ALL IN
    - FAM (intro to members)
    No Easy:
Honestly, the whole album is amazing
    ODDINARY:
    This whole album too.
    Maxident:
    - SUPERBOARD
    - 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han)
    - TASTE (Hyunjin, Lee Know, Felix)
    The Sound (Japanese Album):
    - THE SOUND
    - BATTLEGROUND (Rock vibes on this one. I highly enjoyed!).
    - DLMLU (not really high energy but a gorgeous song)
    SKZ-REPLAY (Unit/Solo songs):
    - Connected (Bang Chan)
    - Deep End (Felix) (3 octaves vocal range on a sad song.)
    - ZONE (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han)
    - Maknae on Top (I.N ft. Bang Chan and Changbin)
    - Up All Night (Bang Chan, Changbin, Felix, Seungmin)
    - Drive (Bang Chan, Lee Know)

Stray Kids were my gateway into kpop. I'd tried to look at kpop songs before but only discovered a lot of the very poppy sounding ones and I just hadn't connected because I usually listened to rock and metal stuff. Stray Kids take a lot of influence from rock sounds in their stuff, even if a lot of it is more EDM and rap leaning, but I think that's why they seem to be a lot of people's hook into the kpop world.
People have recommended a lot of good songs so I'm going to try and suggest some I haven't seen so much. For the guitar and rock influence I suggest 'Time Out' (a song written as a gift for the fandom on their anniversary- kpop groups tend to give their fandoms a name, and the anniversary of the name being given is celebrated each year by special content releases usually) and 'Superboard'. For vibe and attitude I recommend 'The Sound' (their recent Japanese release), 'Cheese' (a tongue in cheek response to haters), and 'Scars' (a Japanese release that shows their more emotional side).
One of the things that makes kpop special is it's as much about performance as music, and Stray Kids are known as masters of concept, when they perform live it's really something special. Any time they perform at an awards show or even in their concerts they will remix their own tracks so it's a unique experience, and the performances are incredible. As an example, I highly recommend checking out their 2022 MAMA performance [ [2022 MAMA] Stray Kids - Venom + MANIAC (MAMA ver.) | Mnet 221129 방송 ]. Unfortunately you probably won't be able to react to it on youtube because MAMA tends to get copyright issues, but it shows you one of the key aspects that has made Stray Kids so popular. If you want a taste of their concerts this is one of the best videos [ THUNDEROUS + DOMINO + GODS MENU | STRAY KIDS (스트레이 키즈) MANIAC WORLD TOUR NEWARK 06/28/22 | 4K by Rita H ].
Kpop takes a minute to adapt to and understand but when you give it a chance there are so many gems to discover. To briefly recommend other groups with a similar vibe I would suggest Xdinary Heroes, they're the same label as Stray Kids but are an instrument based group. Their 'Tomboy' cover (originally by (G)Idle, a female group) got me into them, and I highly recommend it.
I hope you continue your journey into Stray Kids and kpop in general. If you ever want to get really deep a lot of kpop groups have guides that introduce the members. If you find yourself really enjoying a group several songs in it might be worth looking at one (they can be long though, be warned). Good luck and enjoy!

This group is a spicier type of music. There’s so much to get into with them. Hellevator, District 9, My Pace, Miroh, Backdoor, Thunderous, Maniac are some of the popular titles. But their b-sides like Venom, Freeze, Cheese, Victory song, and Chronosaurus all have music or performance videos. And other b-sides without videos like Domino, Taste, Charmer are also amazing. And they have a lot more say in their music, the lyrics, production, etc than most groups. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for getting into k-pop and reacting to Stray Kids. Yes the deep voice guy its his real voice and it doesn't match his angelic face. His name is Felix and was born in Australia. English his first language and his vocal range is amazing from tiny to mid to deep as the ocean. He always brings them in. The leader is also from Australia moved there at a very early age and he trained for 7 years starting at the age 13 years old. The other thing that sets Stray Kids apart form other male kpop groups is they have 3 founding members that created a rap group but also the production team for stray kids. Meaning they write, compose, arrange and produce 99.9% of their own music or assist others with in their company JYP producers. They have more creative control over what they produce than any other group in kpop industry. Also they are the first and only group where the leader hand picked his members before their company put them through a elimination survival show prior to debut in 2017. The lead Bang Chan also named the group Stray Kids and created the logo in his own hand writing, named the fandom STAY. End of every Korean video you will see their quote "Stray Kids every where around the world you make Stray Kids Stay". Play on words Stay fandom is Stray without the R which is the reason Stray Kids Stay. Because the have so much music control they have more content released on weekly basis. They always do mini move trailers before every album release to give the concept of the album along with album teasers. They have more music videos per album released, for example the last mini album Maxident had 8 tracks and 4 tracks had music videos. The have the best transitions on their music videos and they love what they do. The live, breath and sleep music. Yes I am a little bias with Stray Kids because they were my first love of K-pop finding them only 4 years ago. You are in for a ride with K-pop they have so much amazing music. All of these idols and groups are so talented and work so hard. The thing about k-pop is they love to do things for their fans, they do live videos all the time and reality shows just for the fans. It is so different to get swept up with these talented beings. I have never fan girl over any singer or artist in my forever over 50 long life until k-pop. Music is amazing and the entertainment so mesmerizing. Another notes. All the stray kids members don't really have set roles they can all dance, rap and have amazing vocals. There is a video that just recently came out called " The Rise of STRAY KIDS - JYP Entertainment's REAL Secret Weapon (Deep Dive)" it is by Johnathan Miller Music and only 20 min long of pure listen. What I like about this video it gives you more than just Stray Kids info. It gives a little more about k-pop in general and the 1 of the major entertainment companies JYP the company Stray Kids is under. I have been into kpop for a while and even learned a little more by watching this video. I hope you check it out and more k-pop and for sure more Stray Kids. Love to see you reactions to Venom m/v, Freeze m/v, Maniac m/v Thunderous m/v, Super Board m/v those are all last years main releases but there is so much more Stray Kids has over 167 songs released on albums since 2018 and that isn't counting the ones they are on sound cloud or their YT channel.

There are dozens of non-hard songs to check out if you're interested! This is actually a huge portion of their music, but most people never look past the title tracks that are designed to be hard.
    A couple notes first:
1] Stray Kids releases a lot of unofficial/side content through SKZ-Player/SKZ-Record on youtube (some of it now having recently -- FINALLY -- been released for official streaming on the SKZ-REPLAY album). I've included many of these, with the specific artist name(s) listed in parentheses.
2] There are a few 3RACHA tracks sprinkled in because SKZ and 3RACHA go hand-in-hand. Remember: 3RACHA are literally the people writing/composing/arranging SKZ's music.
3] Be warned that SKZ sometimes addresses some particularly heavy stuff. Most of the songs in this list are "safe," but the occasional one does include references to/inspiration from mental illness, suicidal ideation/attempts, bullying/violence, despair, etc.
4] Some of these are slow. Some are sweet. Some are fun/silly. Some have fairly significant beats. But they're all ones not generally included in the "OMG Stray Kids just makes noise music! It all sounds like God's Menu/Side Effects/Double Knot/Thunderous!" line of baseless, ignorant complaining.
5] This is not a complete list, just one I made for someone else and have saved and occasionally added to. So it actually would behoove you to get their complete discography/songlist and work your way through every song because no one is going to succeed at recommending every one you should listen to unless they themselves just paste in the entire discography. SKZ doesn't make skippable songs.
These are songs that I feel have the most 'rock' sound to them. Some of them are b-sides so they won't have MV's and a lot of them are older. SKZ has never really had one specific sound so it's hard to narrow them down to one genre but I hope you like these!
The Sound (MV) Brand new release
    Cheese (MV)
Beware (also known as Grr) (MV)
    YAYAYA
    Awaken
    My Pace (MV)
    Slump
    Time Out (MV)
    Chronosaurus
Here's a couple more that I didn't feel were truly what you were looking for but you might like, mostly songs that had guitar/rock elements.
    Domino
    Boxer (MV)
    Hellevator (Predebut MV)
    Voices (MV)
    Wolfgang
    Hello Stranger (MV)
ROCK (MV ....Ironically not a rock song)
Thank you so much for your reactions! I love watching people slowly become invested with SKZ.

As the person who originally compiled the full version of this list, then wrote and posted the original version of this comment (right down to the "behoove" 😆) at the end of May 2021 (occasionally updating it since then to give to new reactors over the years), I can't tell whether I'm more perturbed that it was copied in full, then mildly trimmed/tweaked and posted as your own...or flattered that you liked it and found it useful enough to do so. 🤣
My latest update to it was made on February 18 of this year, hence the "with a Japanese album dropping in a few days and at least two more albums coming this year" addition, since that was just prior to The Sound and was thus accurate at the time I posted that updated version to another reactor. But it's long past then now, so you should remove that bit for clarity.
Feel free to keep passing this around -- the more reactors/potential fans/baby STAYs it might be useful to, the more I'm happy that I put in the time to write it! But just so I don't unfairly get someone hyperreactive coming at me with accusations of plagiarizing my own comment the next time I post the full version of this (right down to the "'OMG Stray Kids just makes noise music! It all sounds like God's Menu/Side Effects/Double Knot/Thunderous!' line of baseless, ignorant complaining"), I ask that you just tack on a short parenthetical "edited version of original comment by RM on youtube" or something similar. That should help fend off any confusion. Thanks!

I myself am a new Stay (The Stray Kids call their fanbase “Stay”), having gotten into it about a month or two ago, and they already have me in a chokehold. They have a lot of good music in my opinion, all of it coming in a variety. No two songs are really the same from what I’ve heard, you can get songs as hype as “God’s Menu”, songs as uplifting as their song “Sunshine”, and song that hit you in the feels like their solos “Deep End” by Felix (the guy with the really deep voice), and “I Hate to Admit” by Bang Chan (The leader of the group). There truly is something here for everyone. A few songs I’d recommend are as follows (if you haven’t already listened to them, I’m a month late to this video):
    - Case 143
    - Maniac
    - Thunderous
    - Red Lights (My personal favorite)
    - Maknae On Top
    - MIROH
    - All In (my personal favorite version is the Japanese version)
    - Sunshine
    - Domino (Both English and Korean versions)
    - Side effects
    - Hellevator
    - Christmas EveL
    - Charmer
    - Back Door
    - Cheese
    - Deep End
    - Connected
    - I Hate to Admit
    - Airplane
    - Stars and Raindrops
    - Alien
    - Limbo
    - Doodle
    - Love Untold
    - Hug Me
Those are some of my personal favorites, but they’re all so diverse. Stray Kids truly is a great group!

I like a lot of metal/rock and EDM which is why I think Stray Kids appeals to so many different people. They just have a sound that mixes a lot of genres and they actually do it very well. They don't sound like pop music. It's gritty. It's not all pastel's, puppies and kittens. Which is how a lot of the earlier kpop sounds to me. Like it's not made for anyone over the age of 13 or something. There are some groups here lately that seem to be stepping away from just that sound. This is why kpop is suddenly taking off so much globally, although it seems that satisfying that global demand makes them slightly less popular in South Korea. Usually a group gets big in South Korea first and then gains global fans. Lately recent groups have been doing the opposite and gaining a higher number of global fans than Asian fans. Which is what the goal is really for any musician, to become a global group not just big in Asia.

Ok guys, I see that you have a lot of recommendations so far, so I won´t put my list because it´s loooooong. The only thing that I can say for sure is that I´m a 47yo Mexican mom and I´m long past: the "I like their music" kind of fan, I´m more like I NEED to see them before I died kind of fan. Never happened to me before, not even when I was young (they are THAT good) 😌 But since God´s Menu is the song that got me hooked I´ll give you some information that you´ll find interesting. The settings are: 1. Kitchen (bc they have a lot of flavor in their music, which means that you´ll always find something you like in their discography, plus their music satisfies all your senses). 2. Construction (they are constructing their own path bc they are heavily involved in all that they do). 3. Car race (bc they are competing with other groups and they are at it at full speed) 4. Lab (bc they are experimenting with their music, using a lot of different genres for their song. Even in one song, they use different genres which makes their music very unique and versatile). With all their discography backing them up, they already have their own genre called "Mala taste" (you can google it). All that Stray Kids does has a meaning, an example is that they finish God´s Menu video Entering to a Back Door which was their next comeback song. Good luck and I hope to see more reactions from them 🤗 you won´t regret it!!😜

You don't know how much I love them ❤ they were my first boy group ❤ Stray Kids are really talented, they composed their own music, created their choreographies, write the lyrics and the 8 members are seriously good persons (also they're funny with their own personalities)
The name of the members are: Bangchan (who is the leader and oldest of the group; also he's friend of almost the half of the kpop industry), Changbin (rapper and the first one to rap in this video), Han, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Felix (yes, is his real voice, it's really deep), Seungmin and I.N (the maknae on top).
Thanks to react to them ❤ I recommend you this songs:
    -Back Door
    -Miroh
    -Hellevator
    -Thunderous
    -Red Lights
    -Freeze

The Leader, Lead Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Rapper, and Producer, Bang Chan 4:21(real name Bang Christopher Chan but some ppl call him Christopher or BangChan) is who we call a friend of all k-idols. He supports MANY kpop groups and listens to some kpop groups songs during his live streams as reactions. Also, fun fact there are two members from SKZ who are what we call part of the Aussie K-pop line meaning kpop idols from or who lived in Australia. Bang Chan (Christopher) was born in Korea but moved to Sydney, Australia when he was younger and grew up there. Then, Felix 5:08 (the one with the deep voice) who is the Lead Dancer, Lead Rapper, Vocalist was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Also, yes both Chris and Felix have Aussie accents when they speak English as well lol. There are many kpop idols from Australia btw and as you get into more groups you’ll see how common IT IS. I am glad yall enjoyed SKZ, they were my first KPOP BOYGROUP I really got into and for me it was always BLACKPINK (for my ULT girl group/group) and Stray Kids (for one of my favorite boy groups).

I wish that some of these fans would give these content creators some grace, when they are in the beginning process of exploring, and reacting to K-pop artists! There is NO need for people to be hating, being trolls, being super aggressive, or disrespectful just because they may not say the right thing. Even if their reaction towards the music may not align with what the fans think, they are entitled to their opinion as long as there is no malicious intent, or hatred towards the artist. Obviously, these gentlemen are new to this genre so they simply don’t know, so they may say some things just because they’re not aware… As fans of the artist who choose to watch and support these content creators, it’s up to us just to maybe kindly provide information or make kind unsolicited suggestions for their information… I guess they can look some things up as well… Anyway people need to stop being so negative and grow up with the hate comments, it’s unnecessary and people don’t need that in their lives. If you don’t like it, then don’t watch or just keep the negative comments to yourself. Just my opinion… You guys keep up the good work, and I’m sure you guys will enjoy the world of K-pop… It’s a huge genre and has so many great artist, none of them are the same, but you will learn as you continue to explore!

      @DANDJREACT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hey thanks for the kind words. We are learning as we go. We always wondered why the KPOP fans were so aggressive to people who have zero knowledge towards the industry. It would jus the nice to have you all teach instead of shoot us on site lol. But hey people are keyboard warriors. They would never say that to our faces in person. It’s the internet what do you expect 🤷‍♂️

@@DANDJREACT All good… I can understand your position… I love reaction videos, and I have gotten more into K-pop over the years and appreciate content creators stepping out of there realm and trying something different… So this is awesome and keep up the good work there are a lot of people who appreciate your content… And yeah, you’ve already said your peace and hopefully people will learn to be respectful, it’s insane and unnecessary for any rude comments… you’re learning as you go and deserve grace, anyone does… Some of these people need to calm down, it’s music, we’re all learning something different and new, and we may not say the right thing, but yeah, the unnecessary trolling and hate comments are ridiculous. We got your back man and keep up the good work, wouldn’t even take it anymore personal. And if people really cross lines, please feel free to block them because they don’t deserve to see your content. My favorite group is Stray Kids, so I’m sure once you get more familiar, you will enjoy… I recommend watching “the guide to stray kids“, you can gain more information of who they are and their background, music, inspirations, Traini stories- it could be a lot easier for you to maybe connect! I love watching others fall down the SKZ rabbit hole too 😅 I really thought I didn’t like K-pop until I heard Stray Kids Maniac & then was an instant fan of this group. They are unique & trend setting, almost in their own genre. And I love that they create it all themselves, with their producing unit 3racha. I would definitely recommend Thunderous, Freeze, District 9, Maniac & Victory Song.

Came from rock/metal background as well. Found Stray Kids last July and been hooked since. They are self produced and the beats are insane. I think the more aggressive approach is what grabbed me. Never interested in Kpop till them. Yes, deep voice is Felix and he really sounds like that.
Other songs to get you started I'd recommend Maniac, Thunderous, Victory Song, Easy, Venom, 3Racha, Backdoor. If you want more ballad types let us know they can do it all. If you want to see a live performance I'd recommend MAMA 2022 Venom/Maniac (award show they go all out) or any Kingdom stage Gods Dududu. Japanese show The First Take appearances are so good.

Thank you guys for reacting to Stray Kids!
I wanted to address the hate you got and wanted to apologise on behalf of some of the BTS ARMY out there. You’re always welcome to react to them and genuinely say what’s on your mind. It’s impossible to like very thing about every single song and it sure as hell isn’t wrong to express your opinion. Some people just have to learn to accept this as a fact or grow up. I’m sorry this happened, please don’t let it get to you. Keep up the good work boys. 🎉

    • @DANDJREACT
      @DANDJREACT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thanks for your support and understanding. We don’t let people’s comments get to us. We know we’re free to have our own opinions and thoughts. As such, we will freely express ourselves and never worry what other people think or say.
I’m sure if I asked these same people to listen to one of my death metal songs they would have plenty of hateful and negative comments. But I’m ok with that because it is their free right to speak their mind and share their opinions.
Some people need to learn that not everyone is going to agree with them or have the same views as them. But it takes time to grow up and understand that concept.
