    As the kings stare into each other's eyes realizing that their entire existence is within a box. They begin to wonder why must they wage war? Due to their arbitrary colors of their coating? They lost their wives, people and casltes to this never ending bloodshed. Alas the kings ponders, now that he has lost everything what's the point of fighting anymore. So he reaches his short arm over to the other king with only two words on his mind. The other king response with the same desperation and destitution. The kings shake hands with the overture of their voices thinking of everything they lost leaving it over the board with the simple words.
    "Stale."
    "Mate."

      In this case I think it's that it stacks his pawns and keeps his knight from advancing. Because if knight takes it's protected by the pawn and attacking some nice squares. And then you can kick black's knight with the other pawn maybe?

      As a chess player it hurted my eyes but nontheless funny game. My name is Lucas Lieber and my fide elo is 1644. I know almost every main line every opening. I was in a chess camp and the old guy the boss of the camp told me i am almost a grandmaster. Usually when a position is drawn i play for a win and my opponent was nervous because i was stronger and when i finnaly broke in the position it backfired there was no one Back. BTW elo is only a number on a paper lol.

      Undoubtedly, the GMs have developed so far in their understanding of chess that the genius bongcloud has been seen as having the only optimal counter of another bongcloud, resulting in a draw. The computers haven't reached the extent of the full power of the GM...

    Love this series of low ELO games. They remind me so much of my own 1200-1300 games! I think I learn more from these than from my years of watching GM games.

    Once I decided to put all my pawns on the 5 line, lost 38 points of material, my king got trapped in the corner, many mates in 1, and he drew the game.

    There was a beautiful draw between Samuel Reshevsky and Edward Lasker. In a desperate situation, Sammy sacked his rook with check and then slid his other rook right next to the white king. If Lasker takes, it's draw by no moves for black. If white doesn't take, it's draw by perpetual check along the back rank.
