Resigning is a sign of an honorable player that respects the game and the effort that goes into it. Trying to flag your opponent on time when you're clearly losing is disgusting. Better to lose honorably than to "win" using such lazy tactics. People who do this obviously do not give a damn about getting better at chess and only care about winning and boosting their rating (and probably their ego). Teaching people to do this will just discourage those that actually are putting in time and effort to getting better. Why bother training when you can just play fast, blunder everything, and still somehow win?
Disgusting?? 😂😂…. At the master level, sure, and especially in classical time controls, and important games. But get real. Sub 1200, (or even 1400 or 1600), and at fast time controls, attempting to flag and/or get stalemated is part of the game, and you should use them as weapons against people who will succumb to them. “Why bother training”? So that you can ensure you will win a game, and be able to checkmate an opponent properly, who does not resign, and make sure you don’t stalemate under time pressure. And so that you can play fast enough to not lose the game on time either, when you’re well up on material.
Explain me one thing. They are 800 hundred and play like this, meanwhile I am 500 hundred and every single one of my opponent plays at least two times better... How
Your opponents make the same mistakes as the players in this video. It’s just a lot harder to see your opponent’s mistakes in-game than when someone is pointing out the mistake. Just take a second to look whether or not one of your or your opponent’s pieces are hanging. Take your time to look your rating will increase a ton.

I've never seen an 800 play so poorly. Amazing game!
13:24 fearless king f4 lol
Me, getting my rook and queen forked on move 6, proceeding to throw my laptop out the window: Ah yes, Levy said never resign. *proceeds to throw it out anyway* (technically I didn't resign hehe)
but how much laptop cost maybe cheaper for you to just to "finish the game" a quote from young guns the movie
Snatching a draw, out of the jaws of victory! 🤣🤣
13:25 there are 5 options, king cannot go to f4.
Super GM in disguise! He snatch a draw out of the jaws of victory! I love these words
for me it's just about respect for the other player, and i'd rather play another game with my time
Same. There's no enjoyment (for me) in playing on if I'm a gazillion points of material down, and I'm just tilting. Resign with dignity, take five minutes out, and start afresh with a new game.
@@davidrobins1021 NEVER !! As long as my King has legs he will move until he is stopped.
Thank you for being a respectful sport. I'm so tired of fighting a prolonged endgame when I'm two pieces up and my opponent just keeps hoping I'm going to get an aneurysm and die while playing so they can win, and these videos aren't helping the cause lmao
Sir, this is a WENDY's! Here we do not respect our opponent, and at the most resigns by letting the clock run out....
@@lukajevtovic8250 Bingo. Failing to resign in a totally lost position is a sign of a sick ego trying to steal a game....on the other hand, if you are playing for money...
you're killing me. Finding the complex strategy in nothing is amazing
13:26 Levy can play illegal moves. Must be a benefit of being an IM.
illegal master
"Snatching a draw from the jaws of victory."- Gothamchess, 2021
13:24 Levy says there are 6 options. Including an illegal move, apparently?
i once won a game with 20+ points behind, lost all my peaces due to early queen attack, but enemy blunder 2 queens into pawns, and i won with bishop and queen vs the rest of the board
Another joke mocking Catholics. I'm not Catholic, but for fucks sake
Has he done so before?
@@bromponie7330 there’s at least one insult every other video. It got old after like a month of him doing that nonstop. Idk abt now, but when I wrote the comic he made jokes a lot.
When I was 800 I didn’t know either that a pawn could help to checkmate
I don’t know what is worse when playing with a sore loser:
People who spam “Accept Draws”
Or
People who keep making a move the second before they get auto-resigned
I was playing a 3|2 game today and my opponent offered a draw. He had a king and bishop. I had a king, queen, bishop, and pawn one step away from becoming another queen. I couldn't tell if he was seriously offering a draw or if he mouse slipped and hit the offer draw option instead of the resign option, but I believe I said "get the fuck outta here with your draw offer."
4:15 I'm gonna guess the player's brain went "If I go there I FORK THE QUEEN AND ROOK" and got a nitro boost of dopamine, so they just acted on it immediately.
getting 2k views in 5 minutes is how you can define a master😁
love your content gotham❤️🙏🏻
Levy: how many miss wins you want white?
The dude playing white: *Yes*
"Putting bishops in jail would actually be a good thing for Society" - levi 2021
does he mean in irl
@@list9016 yes on account of all the kid fucking
Sending games to levy by 800s has become their new way of getting the game analysed
Never, EVER miss an opportunity to throw shade at the Catholic church. Thanks, Levy.
'Putting bishops in jail is a good idea.'
*Immediately looks up early life*
Bingo.
6:16 i hope you joking cuz, while i am willing to except a joke, that is not ok
Religious lies are not ok th-cam.com/video/VdtwTeBPYQA/w-d-xo.html
I can see how proud you are of your student.
In some 1000 rated game, I lost a queen for a Bishop, I kept playing, I drawed the game using knight forks and sacrifices, he asked for a rematch, I blundered a full queen, I continued, I forked him twice, won the game, hit me up if you guys wanna see that 👀
13:24 when Levi goes from being our chess Guru to thinking like an 800
Protestants and athiests be like: 6:15
I had a game where it was back rank mate in 1 with Rh8#. He stalled the game and moved his queen so i could take it and drew lmao
