As a 9-year-old child in 1966 I watched the TOS premier. As a 48-year-old adult in 2005 I watched the finale of Enterprise. I've been with this franchise all of my life as a huge fan and I have to say VOYAGER was the best. I loved all of the series. Their collective success is easily understood, but VOYAGER took us back to the way it all started; a Federation starship out there, on it's own, in uncharted territories... where no Federation representatives had gone before, without even the basic fallback the Constitution class vessel, USS Enterprise, had---> support from Starfleet. The Captain Janeway statue in Bloomington, Indiana is well deserved. Thank you.
I read this and thought “I don’t remember posting this”. Every word could’ve been mine. We must be thought twins, although I question your counting skills. If you were 9 in 1966 you cannot possibly be 48 now. I was 9 when I watched the TOS on network television and I know I’m not 48.

Voyager is a warm blanket and hot chicken soup. It has been there for me through some pretty bad times. If my soul needs to get straight, Janeway and the Voyager crew knows how to do it.

I was introduced to Trek via TNG. I remember watching the premieres of both DS9 and VOY. I was more stoked for VOY. Sadly I wasn't able to watch the series as it aired since mom primarily controlled the remote. Since then, I have been able to watch all the episodes. I'm happy to report that it is tied for my second place for favorite Trek series(obviously my first Trek is my favorite). I'm so excited for this documentary

I grew up with Star Trek from TNG onwards, love all trek and despite it's issues there's something about Voyager that's always made it my favourite.

Voyager saved my childhood. It and DS9. I loved TOS, TNG, and ENT too. Voyager and DS9 are special to me though. A lot of rough crap happened and my escape was to pop in a Voyager DVD, put the headphones on, and watch. Be a part of it all, again and again. I was so connected to each character. At a time in my life when I was young, the characters were as real to me as anyone. Of course, I'm past all of that. The shows are still so dear to my heart. I actually named my first daughter B'Elanna! I am a lot more excited to see this than I was the DS9 docu. It's not that it wasn't good, but the slight awkward animosity with Terry leaving and the passing of Aron and Rene made things more emotional than nostalgic and reminiscent, personally. I really look forward to seeing everyone we love take a trip down memory lane and share things we don't even know. Thanks to all of us in the fan base who stick with it because if it weren't for us, who would they be making this for? ❤🖖

I loved and still love Voyager so much. The only thing that made me sad about watching it was knowing that I could never be part of the crew.
I've been hoping for a Voyager documentary since seeing the DS9 documentary, What We Left Behind. I've been rewatching the old (pre-2009) shows and really enjoying them all over again. It's also sparked wondering about what could have happened on Voyager, alternatives and choices, things we never got to see, but that they would've had to deal with somehow, story, plot, character arcs, general problems. When you can still be excited about a series years later, that says something about its quality. (I was born the year TOS premiered and a young adult when TNG, DS9, and VOY began.)
Can someone explain why Takei usurped the Vulcan greeting?
If you take all this interview footage and make a 10 hour documentary I would gladly watch it.

A lot of behind the scenes people, writers, directors. Andrew Robinson ( garak) directed a few episodes of voyager, so did Anson Williams ( best known as Potsie from happy days ) who I also recognized

Also it's funny how I didnt know over half the people being shown in this trailer lol (I'm assuming many of them were writers or guest stars and the like?)

I would have loved you to put names on the screen as people entered and sat down. I recognised a fair few, but others I have no idea who they are!

2:11 Well, actually, the only pilot is Tom Paris. Voyager did not have what can be considered a pilot episode. Since a full season was already commissioned, the first story can not be technically regarded as a pilot. A pilot is a test episode, created in order to sell a full series, by getting additional episodes commissioned. TOS had 2 pilot episodes (as well as 2 additional internal pilots for other shows in the form of spin-offs ("I Mudd" and "Assignment: Earth"). TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT never had pilot episodes. The shows were already greenlighted, and the actors had already signed contracts for multiple seasons.
I know that people, colloquially, just refer to any first episode as being a pilot. But this is an imprecision, and a very loose application of the word. Pilots are test episodes in order to convince possible backers to support a full series. This was never the case here.
Are all the Voyager actors not in this?
They still have a lot more interviews to do; I'm sure they'll get the others. Although I'd be very surprised if they interview Jennifer Lien.

Armin Shimmerman was in the pilot. I'm fairly sure Andrew Robinson directed at least one episode. No idea why Chase Masterson is there, but I'm always happy to see her.

Agreed. Absolutely none of them were a actual stars on the show. They were guests. Its great and all for doing this but should of lead with the entire cast first and then guest stars. I mean come on it's a Voyager Documentary and you only get two main cast members?

Okay this doesn’t really help in giving the idea of a documentary about Voyager. I think it would have been better to wait till you had something to show than just people coming to a room and sitting down. Maybe a better trailer will happen soon?

Yeah, as Uberphat said, the documentary is still being produced and filmed. I think they said that it would be ready in late-2022, but that’s just a rough guess, albeit official. 🙃

Most of the people in the preview were not the cast, and I'd had used snippets from their interviews. Agreed. The trailer could have been better.
This is the worse trailer... Robert's reaction at the end is how I felt about this awful trailer that barely had anything to do with Voyager. Why is Armin in more scenes of this than cast members of VOY. Makes no sense.
