      Glad to have your support! Always here to support you any way we can, we have a great sample pack that contains all our products and fragrances. www.llivebearded.com/products/sample-pack. A lot of times as our beards grow they pull away from our natural oils from the skin causing itchiness and dryness. This is where a lot of brothers stop, but that is when beard oil comes in!

      @@livebearded I missed not having a beard. But it was great seeing or trying new looks. Such as the stubble, then light beard etc. It definitely feels different the second time as you learn from your mistakes. Many of us trim too early or shave parts off we shouldn't lol.

  • @hesketh7085
    @hesketh7085 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank you for this. I have a 5-6 month beard now. I don't trust myself to trim it, but I don't trust any barbers near me either (England), because any time I've ever let anyone touch it, I've come out disappointed. The other day they took my cheek line too low. My beard is still quite full; is it advisable to just not shave my cheek line for a while and let it grow back in, or will it look odd growing back in against a full beard? Should I just shave the whole thing off and start from scratch? Happy to send pics if there's an email address!

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never shave completely, just let it start growing back. My neckline always grows a lot thicker than my cheek lines. Check out this video Spencer put together about helping to find the right barber - livebearded.com/blogs/do-better/how-to-avoid-a-bad-beard-trim?_pos=7&_sid=fb0ec4e07&_ss=r

    That's hardcore. Hope the guys it helps appreciate the sacrifice. Just throwing this out there, but have you guys thought of giving some trimming/shaping tips for us guys with beards in the 12 inch range? Seems like all the videos are for shorter beards. Waiting for my MT-1 to show up in the mail, but I think I just may be to sketched out to actually use it for more than the keeping it lined out and not acutually use it for fading, maintenance, or anything else. Good luck on the regrow journey. You deserve a medal, man.

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Little is more with a beard that long! Always play the conservative side. Its alot more to work around and with. I recommend starting at the bottom and working your way up as it will help the symmetry with matching your length from the starting point. BUT, it really comes down to preference and shape of your beard!

    • @dleetz484
      @dleetz484 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@livebearded Oh, I plan on going slow. Helluva lot easier to take a little more off than to put it back on! I appreciate the advice. And I have no problem with stopping if it's all going to hell and walking around with a half trimmed beard until I can get into the barber for a tune up. Thanks again and keep on kickin ass and making kickass products.

I look forward to seeing your regrowth journey and getting helpful advice and ideas along the way. When I was forced to shave my beard at work for covid, it had major negative effect on my mental health. Some of the ladies at work, would say it’s only a beard. I asked how they would feel, if they had 1 days notice , that they had to cut their hair to shoulder length. They all agreed, it would be devastating for them. That is when they understood, the beard is part of who I am. It is part of my identity.

    • @livebearded

    Wow, I've got to respect the commitment to the channel and followers to shave it all off and restart your beard to help relate to the early beard struggles, R.I.P beard lol.
    I've previously been growing a few months beard here and there but trimming length to try keep it smarter, but new year's just gone, I decided clean shave for new year's Day, and watch my beard grow over the year. Soo I'm at 3 months minus two slight length trims, haven't trimmed for almost two months, the main struggle I'm having is even with beard shampoo, balm, and oil, I'm still finding the beard a bit dry at times, but on the bright side this is the first time my moustache has really started to fill out, with the right product now I can curl the ends, but I'm at the stage where I dare not do much editing of my beard myself, but also don't trust my barber with my beard enough lol.
    I'll try and follow the regrowth journey see what tips I pick up, I've heard beards grow faster in summer which were approaching here in UK, so can't wait to see what next 3 months brings for my beard growth 🙂, sorry for the essay comment lol.
    P.s the beard oil I have is L'Oréal men expert barbers club, beard balm I have Bulldog original, and beard shampoo admittedly some cheap product, but what can I do to moisturise the skin and beard better?

    I'll joking aside, I'll be following along on this re-grow and trim. Just started really taking time and care and trim better than I have before since finding your products and videos.
    Looking forward to what's coming! And hopefully soon I'll have me one of those nice MT1s. just have a general all around trimmer I use now and it's definitely not that great and so I usually avoid doing much with it.

    On time I cut mine back to about 4" because it finally allowed me to remove most of the beard damaged by hair dye and a heated comb. I felt sick to my stomach and kept chwcking the mirror for months. Felt worse when I ran into a guy I knew who let his goatee grow out into a long full beard and all I had was my 4"-er.

    I am one of the many that cannot produced a huge face bush , no matter what. What KILLS me is when you see those guys that have the dark grey face "shadow" - and you know they can grow a huge one in like 3 days - and totally refuse ! Kills me.

      It was not an easy thing to do! But we are always here to help educate every type of beard and with the launch of our new MT-1 Trimmer, Spencer wanted to start fresh and document his journey.
