I speak Russian and her Russian is excellent, not only does she pronounce the words extremely well, but she has a perfect Russian accent. Not an easy language to learn so it's very impressive for someone who grew up outside of Russia.
Actually, from my own experience, it should be easier learning languages if they are in the same language family as your native one. For me, learning Russian is pretty easy since my native language is slavic also. One step back, you have Balto-Slavic. In principle, the more steps you go back, the harder the language should be. Since english is a germanic language, an english speaker should have less trouble learning Dutch for example. But, since both English are both Indo-European languages, but parts of different branches, it shouldn't prove too difficult to learn. The problem comes when one tries learning a language that belongs to a totally different family altogether. Like Finnish. Finnish is a Finnic language (like in the same family with Estonian, Mordvin, Magyar and others) and this is where a totally different vocabulary, grammar, gramatical cases, and all kinds of stuff that do not form a continuum with languages from another family. IMO, it shouldn't be surprising any indo-european speaker doing good in Russian or any other indo-european language. But I would be surprised if a Korean or Bantu speaker found it easy. Sorry for the long reply, just got carried away...

@Andre Juha but ‘and’ and ‘a’ don’t mean the same thing lmao. also yes russian does borrow words from several other languages, but it’s still a cyrillic language, which english is not. there are some resemblances because both english and russian have borrowed from the nordic and germanic language groups, but that’s it. they’re most definitely not similar, especially grammar-wise.

The rolling R, the soft T in the imperative verb, the vowels. The "wrong" Rs are a stereotypical accent that we use to portray Americans in jokes. She has the correct R.

It's an accent that used to be spoken with by the high society and nobody really anymore, but I guess some people still do, depending on their social background.
