For those of you who don't know, the writers planned to have Celebi in the GS Ball in the anime, but instead, they made Celebi the star of the 4th movie. They left the GS Ball in Azalea Town hoping people would forget about it.

The GS ball was a very important mysterious pokeball in the show (in the islands arc after Kanto), untill it was never mentioned again ;p
It was a mystery/arc that the Pokemon anime was building up but then just kind of completely forgot about.

Well, I think it is in the possession of a Quagsire.
It was actually revealed in an interview that the GS Ball was originally supposed to be revealed to have contained Celebi all along, but at some point the staff changed their plans and made a movie out of Celebi instead of a tv arc (shame, according to the interview it was going to be a really large arc too), and never bothered giving the GS Ball proper closure.
So, the joke goes pretty deep here, since Oak mistook Cell for Celebi and put him in the GS Ball, 1kids did their research.

The humor here is dumber. I get why some people like it but TFS version is much better.
I'm pretty sure that this one's the abridged version of the Pokemon characters while the TFS version is suppose to be the normal characters for the Pokemon series. They're both well done but in my opinion I find this one funnier and better due to the nature of the abridged characters.

Now I might be biased because I love the rapidfire comedy of Pokémon 'Bridged and the references to S1 (Onigiri > Doughnuts, Mt. Moon episode airing before Pewter City Gym battle), but I think this version is better.
