Depends on what the price point is for me, i don't feel like i need to upgrade but then going into next year when some big games will come out i wouldn't mind being on a more powerful console to play them
yeah that's a totally fair outlook. I think the price point will be the most interesting. See the new 2TB Xbox X just broke the 500 mark (in the UK) which is interesting and def paves the way for PS to do the same.
The thing is, Sony isn't really the ones supporting ps4. 2022 was really the last year PS4 was getting exclusives. The issue is that most 3rd party devs have no incentive not to make their game for last gen too. For one, most new games that aren't AAA high end games don't need a PS5 to run. And if they wanted it to be a PS5 exclusive, they would have to spend more time and money to make the game legitimately feel like it's taking advantage of current gen hardware. A good portion of gamers are still playing live service/online games from 5+ years ago. And with the rise of indie games, that's even more games that don't require a graphical powerhouse to run. Don't need a PS5 to play stuff like Animal Well or Balatro.
Yeah, I mean the reason I like the Series X is because it optimises last gen games for it like a PC would. The PS5 problem is that PS4 games on it perform like they're on a PS4 and that paired with the 8 PS5 games makes the PS5 feel pointless. I think the Pro will probably feel the same tbh. But yeah I loved Andy's shirt, I also like the little red and white on Aj's shirt. But yeah I think it's called 128kb because 120 ate KB.
Im waiting for ps5 pro and holding back on several games until pro comes out. Many games have low res or cant maintain 60fps, so yeah ps5 pro is needed
The designer(s) of the PS5 deserve to lose their jobs for the stand alone 😅 I ended up buying some custom 3D printed feet from Etsy for mine. Even an earthquake wouldn't shake it down now 😂 Also, re: FF7: Rebirth, I was quite late to playing it and so had about 576 patches and updates to download before I could start it. Performance mode still looked like someone had smeared vaseline all over my TV, but graphics mode was actually very stable and acceptable. Shouldn't have to wait months to be able to play a game, but it worked out well for me.
@@128kbpodcast I totally get you. That end phase of the last boss though 😵 I nearly had a very broken PS5 😅 Can't imagine how the final chapter is going to play out!!

Yeah, I just sold my PS5 after I built my PC, waiting for the PS games just to be released on PC now. Xbox series x is next I believe, man, I never would have thought I'd jump to PC, I thought I was a console gamer for life. @@128kbpodcast Yeah, I would have never guessed I'd jump the console ship, ever! To me, both Microsoft and Sony made a mistake by not sticking with generations, pro's, series s and x, etc. Developers can't take advantage of the power of the new consoles, and when they start doing pro's it just got me thinking, I can make a PC and build a pro or upgrade to a pro pc every few years! Plus, when I gamed at true 4k and high refresh, I couldn't go back to my consoles, just too good!
PS5 pro can swivel! The whole slim/pro releases from Sony are half arsed. I've only kept my PS5 because I had a ps plus sub but now that's ended I'm gonna wrap up all the games I own and sell it, I sold my PS4 Pro for it to play exclusives and I've played a tiny bit of Ratchet and Clank but it wasn't for me and Spider-man 2. Like you guys have mentioned it doesn't have anything worth buying at the moment, I'll stick with Xbox and buy a handheld to co-exist with that.
I think saying ps5 don’t have exclusives because they’re on PC is unfair. While technically they aren’t exclusive, I’d have thought most people are choosing between ps5 and Xbox, and PC is not even a live option, especially considering you’d have to pay a lot more to get the same performance on a ps5. So really it’s between Xbox and ps5 for most people, in which case there are many PlayStation exclusives. And yes many of those are on ps4, but they play so much better on ps5 it’s worth the upgrade
The PS5 Pro will be for those gullible enough who bought the Slim and continue to suck Sonys balls. Like Andy, sold my PS5 and Series X as they were so dissapointing and acted as very expensive dust catchers 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What are you using to play games now? I really want a handheld at the moment but still not fully convinced by them for aftercare support (not including Steam deck)

@proggz39 remember when PS4 would struggle to hit 60 FPS? Most games on PS5 are already capped have two or three settings. Most games already run close to their locked FPS target. It will have more stable and locked FPS. Game developers have to create settings like they did for PS4 pro and xbox one X. There will be way less impact of an impact with the PS5... like I say, useless. Ponies will buy them. Most people will content themselves with the normal console... How much more will it cost? I expect it to cost 200$ more. 700USD, I think ponies will be lining up. Most people will buy the 500$ version because the console is fine.
I just want more games that use the haptic feedback/adaptive triggers, there is literally no point of a ps5 pro imo
