This is basically just more buffs on top of amp. Have you really just not tried a full amp build before?

Though I must disagree with what is the most important ability as it is definitely Metronome. Permanent invisibility without any downsides (plus other buffs) is the crazy deal with her.. sure Mallet has the scaling for endurance runs, but survivability is key.

The damage from Shooting Gallery is like Serration. So if you add 65 to 165 you get 230%, and if you add 65 to 320% (Primary Arcane's) 385%.
additionally, Amp also provides base damage. it would be far better to use roar or eclipse instead of shooting gallery.
given your amp providing a roughly 600% bonus, shooting gallery is a relative ~10% damage increase where roar would be at least a relative 30% with double dipping on DoTs.
I just remembered Octavia can't subsume roar/eclipse lol 😅

Amp's damage buff is an additive base damage multiplier that functions the same as (and adds together with) base damage mods like Serration. If these mods are present, all the multipliers are added together before any further calculations such as elemental damage mods, critical hit mods, or multishot mods.

1.She can't really outpace Mirage due to eclipse being final DMG multiplayer so it's serration*eclipse, not serration+eclipse so eclipse is still better.
2.Shooting gallery is also serration type damage boost so it would be better if you put either roar or eclipse helminth over her because roar is additive to faction damage multipliers(bane,expel,etc. mods) so it multplies ur direct hit DMG and then multplies DMG of the status afflicted by that hit effectively double dipping or eclipse for the same buff amount but other multiplayer.So if u use a faction mods on ur guns go with eclipse if not go roar.

(also you cant subsume roar or eclipse onto her, both her 3 and 4 count as damage buffs, on top of that you would want to use roar if you are using faction mods, not eclipse because roar acts like a faction mod, hence it just buffs the faction mods (on top of THAT, faction mods are only so good with damage over time i.e heat/slash.))
@@HeylmAuraso much misinformation in one comment. Octavia’s 4 is the only ability considered a damage buffer by the Helminth system, not her 3. Eclipse multiplies faction mods while Roar adds to them. Therefore if you want the most damage possible in a shot you run faction mods with Eclipse. If you want to buff DOTs then you run Roar as it will outpace Eclipse. Faction mods are a multiplier of damage so they aren’t just good for DOT builds, you will get more damage in general using them than with additive damage buffs like Serration. If you want a gun build then getting rid of her two for Nourish is just all around better. Viral damage is a multiplicative damage buff off base damage, viral status multiplies your damage further, it’s an energy multiplier, allows for corrosive guns to full strip with archon shards, and if a stray bullet hits you, you get a small bit of CC as well. The Mallet is good to keep because it helps you keep the full value of your AMP buff. Resonator likes to fuck off out of the aoe and diminish your buff. Plus the viral status from Nourish will multiply the Mallet damage again, and since you’re invisible the enemies will target the Mallet and kill themselves while you’re killing them.

There’s a point were the game becomes more of a number simulator, rather then an actual fun experience. Now, I’m not saying min-maxing is bad, but the whole point of helminth is to provide options for players to create what best suits them, and throwing random numbers in someone’s face because ‘your build is better’ just seems like wasted effort to me. It kinda goes under the quote, “freedom is slavery, and slavery is freedom,” to me. Almost like creativity is a bad thing.

Mesa isn't hard to farm for and shooting gallery is a very good ability, highly recommend.

I watched some guy get rid of mesa's 4. With some frames it's interesting but with many frames they lose their uniqueness like mag without her 2 is just a basic frame (still really strong with grouping armor strip and 2 shield replenishes) and others still just die...
You may want to try that mechanic with Xata's Whisper to see if that double dips on the Amp buff. Also I would replace Resonator instead of Mallet just so the mobs won't be running all over the place. With perma invis, the CC from Resonator seem rather pointless.

nah ma, it always feels better to make something that looks good. trust, mess around with it and once you make a good look your proud of you'll never take it off (until you make another).

I thought about it, but I typically don’t minmax to insane degrees like that. It will definitely cause some crazy stuff to happen though.

Look up E1M1 mandacord notes on yt and you'll find the song.
the fation is a sacred skill that only the most disciplined can learn, humble yourself and maybe you will as well.
Metronome with a star pattern mandachord gives you the infinite Forte and Opera buff.

could you just use something like roar as a stronger damage buff? I like the idea of removing her very passive abilities for more active buffs but idk if shooting gallery is the right choice for it
I've been getting this a lot for some odd reason, you cant put a damage buff subsume if you already have damage buffs, or else you could put roar on someone like mirage (which would break the game). both octavia's 3 and 4 count as damage buffing abilitys. i.e no roar.

what amakes octavia broken isnt mallet, qhile it is a insanely OP ability there are Many frames with similar infinite scaling room clearing abilities (that is what warframe is after all) ita meternome making you literally just untouchable forever and amp which is basically just slightly toned down eclipse that buffs your abilities as well

how i play my octavia, 3 umbra mods, duration, energy over 500,power, violet for meele crit dmg ... 1 is ROAR for status amplification, hit 2 for aggro, 4 to boost dmg, 3 -> go invis -> meele with electricity, arcane to spread statuses, 1 slot for faction mod(another amplification), 1 for range, this one is important, those statuses STACKS, you hit 3 guys, 3x aplied statuses are shared -> radiation + electricity + gas + panzer vulpa = nuke invis killing machine - is it the best optimal build? NOPE ... is it a fun build? for meele lowers, hell yeah
1 is roar and 4 is Amp? How did you do that considering you’re forced to replace Amp if you want to subsume Roar on her?

Oh, they change VFX for invisibility? That's bad, even in your color palette you have to focus for a second to see if you get it or not. That's a downgrade IMHO.
Octavia is fun regardless if you play her like a dancer instead of sitting in a corner the whole time with your mallet up your butt.
You're just playing her like she's meant to be played now, just without her crowd clearing ability.

at what point in the vid did I ever say that you cant play octavia like that???
also im going to be a nerd for a moment, no the roller does not seek the enemy, it rolls around randomly in a area around the player. it also shuts off the enemy's A.I causing them to be stupid and make mellet almost completely useless.
There is a lot of points that i can bring to disagree. But i just point out that its funny when someone says something that have nothing to do with reality. Like "thats why nobody plays octavia".
In last year if we take medium played stats between normal and prime. Octavia is in top 5 maybe 7 most playerd frames. And i bet when we get summary for 2024 it will be the same.

I player main octavia. she can do level cap9999 void cascade very easy.,even without weapon. Only her abillity mallet and amp.🎉
Distrupsion lvl cap also very2 easy with octavia

Shooting gallery dmg buff is insignificant, as it is additive (like chroma's vex armor) instead of multiplicative like eclipse or roar.
Even with 300% strenght, it will fall off compared to mods and arcanes. Main reason people uses it is for crowd control, which octavia has a lot of already.
Useless subsume for her imo.
I know the damage buff isn't much but its still a buff, makes her a lot of fun. this isn't for minmaxing, its for fun.
@@HeylmAuraDon’t listen to them. 65% more damage is still noticed. The whole “additive” argument is just silly considering the “diminishing returns” argument isn’t really going to be noticeable until you get to MUCH MUCH higher numbers than what Warframe allows
I have rivens that add like 200-300% dmg and I stack them with serration/hornet strike and the damage absolutely is much higher than just serration or the riven alone and much higher than any thing else offers.
@@1badhero people seem to overreact a lot when it comes to raw damage, sure its not as good as multiplicative but there is literally no other damage increasing abilitys I can put on. on top of that, damage is still damage.
Octavia is strong for sure, and boring too perhaps. The kit is kinda well designed except third ability is absolute bull dung. The only cool part about it is that it makes you do actions in the rhytm of music, but that's also where people will optimize the fun out of the game and the music is just constant brrrrt, so the feature is wasted. On the other hand if you put some nice music on there, trying to get the buffs out of that ability is again absolutely horrible experience. The whole ability from start to finish is just so poorly designed, and frankly just giving that ability the eclipse treatment would fix the issue.
while yes, it boring, its definitely not bad designed, and I honestly think I'd quit playing the game if they gave it the eclipse treatment. that is such a bad way of going about doing something, because one of the abilitys is just better then the others, it wouldn't even change octavia being boring, it would just take the fun out of using her completely. all your doing is saying "oh this character is boring, well lets make a way to play her that is incredibly overcomplicated for almost no results when another character (mirage) can do it better, and have a good way to play her but you completely subjected to sitting in a corner and t-bagging." your not fixing the problem, your just causing more.
@@HeylmAura 2nd and 4th ability are okay, first ability is the fun killer which makes playing octavia potentially boring but really if playing her that way is boring to someone, they are kind of refusing to play the game and are just cheesing it. Another such case in the past was when saryn could cast her spores on her molt.
As far as the 3rd ability is concerned, I think activating buffs by doing actions at the rhythm of the music is just horrible design as I stated before.. you know, players love to optimize the fun put of the game, while ruining a perfectly good feature, the manachord. Instead, one way to do it without dumming the ability too much down, have the ability 2 or maybe 4 ways to cast.. tap/hold or cycle like vauban's 2nd ability. Another way is to keep the ability as is and let the buffs be activated by doing actions, but just ditch the part that those actions have to be done in the rhythm of manachord.

You're not seein the vision. Shooting Gallery works so well on this build because it not only buffs damage but will interrupt enemies attacks. This makes standing around or not moving around as much as you would otherwise, and shooting stuff much more viable.
Also, the clear goal of this build is fun. Why does everything have to be a super ultra mega minmax?

this is going to be a semi hot take but I'd say Ivara needs a rework. I'd also argue its better, artamis bow just cant keep up with incarnon weapons.
@@HeylmAura artemis bow is dogshit, ivara invis headshot boost and roar subsume gives more flat damage. Artemis bow could do with a buff but everything else about ivara is perfect.
