i love the care you put into this despite not being fond of milwaukee, i expected you to put the badge plate on the back as is but then you cleaned it, then you went ahead and repainted the logo with the pica, i like your level of care, you didn't go over board but you cared which is something the world lacks. i like to see that people still give a shit, and youre really good at what you do good on you i wish you all the best.
Generally you see 3/4 inch and One inch guns in Truck workshops, farms or Tyre places. So it may have had a vehicle on it. I was thinking about dirty contacts inside the switch, but they are so delicate. Dean, you have amazing patience with these tool rescue jobs. It's very impressive. I know I couldn't maintain that gentle touch - even if I had the knowledge.
Bloody good at your job and you love it just like I did with engines, the buzz starts when you've fix something and push that switch once it goes the buzz his completed and you move on to the next one, can't beat that buzz Colin from Croydon London, keep making these videos for us to watch and thanks again for sharing ❤
Was expecting several choice words when the bearing press started leaking while that back plastic cover on the bearing was flexing at 150% of its breaking point. Excellent job as usual!
Just wish there were more guys like you here in the UK everyones oh well busted bin it I'm trying to stop that thought I'm restoring antique and vintage tools to use again ❤keep up the good work Dean xxx
Got a Dewalt impact that has been ran over three times. Twice by a track 333d, and once by a Case backhoe. Never even phased it or the battery. Been a good one for me.
You are close. It doesn't have Bluetooth built into it so that you can communicate with the tool. It has Bluetooth built into it so that the store you bought it from can disable the tool if the tool was stolen from a store. It's a program that home depot came up with to stop tool Theft , if they tried to steal the tool the bluetooth Receiver would basically kill the tool.
Disgusting !! You more or less fixed this nut gun up to look brand new. But did not sand blast & paint the gear housing, Shame on you !! (Just kidding btw). Thought the nut gun was going to be a scrap heap contender for sure like all Milwaukee tools. But you sir are for sure have worked your magic on this. Top Man Dean. Been a pleasure watching your skills in action.
There is something about the cleaning of the tool that seems important, even if it doesn't actually affect the machine. I'm guessing it helps to assure your customer and it probably does something for you in the repair, if not just reflecting the pride you have in your repairs. Of course, not everything needs to be cleaned but I feel like you have experience to know which to clean. I really enjoy this. Thanks, Dean.
At least with Milwaukee it's unobstructive and out of the way, with my Bosch Combi and Impact it's built in the handle and the cover to access it, and the battery is designed and fit poorly that it can become uncomfortable with prolonged use.
@@Drottninggatan2017 IDK about Milwaukee but with Bosch, with the worklights you can turn them on/off or adjust light level with your phone, with the 150C combi you can set the angle at which the level indicator turns green. On the 150C and 90C and 210C it shows the battery level... pointless, see the serial number, pointless, register the tool, pointless, turn on or off kickback control, pointless (there is a button on the tool for that), adjust kickback control sensitivity, arguably pointless, disable LED after glow (so that it turns off as soon as you release the trigger, or adjust how long it stays on for after you release the trigger, arguably pointless. TLDR... pointless. Now if it had some kind of tracking it could be useful, although given how easy it is to access, at least on Bosch tools, it would be easy to disable.
@@zaxmaxlax Thankfully, with the Bosch, the module has no wires attached, it just has a contact plate and no wires and the tools are sold either with the module or without and it works without, and can be purchased separately just about anywhere that sells the tools. With the Milwaukee, looking at how it's wired, you pose an interesting question.
If only people here in South Africa were as honest like you well done.
I watch your videos at night to fall asleep, it relaxes me.
I can understand that, I always fall asleep when editing them.
But that's mainly because I board myself 😴
@@deandohertygreaser u probably have a deja vu after each editing 😅
Anyway love the video keep it up you do some fantastic work
I do the same but then I have to watch them again when I wake up haha
me 12am
I watch them with my 4 year old son at sleep time to relax as well :p and he doesn't even understand english so I need to answer a lot of questions :)
I'm addicted to watching your videos.
It always costs extra if someone else has had a go at it before coming into you😂
That's the way it is in the states...it'll cost twice as much...lol
Deano, you got the best channel for this on youtube
thanks!
Adding the white marker ti the rear lettering, are those finishing touches that show you care about your work and i hope the customer notices.

Thanks 👍
love the repair vids sort of asmr for me keep it up
Glad you like them!
Absolutely love your videos mate! Best channel on TH-cam.
Wow, thanks!
Nice job Dean. Bringin a smashed Milwaukee back to life. !!!!!

Great video, just as I was thinking of could do with white marker and you done it,nice touch
Very educational videos learning something new everyday 🙂
Another quality repair Dean.
You the man! Great job!
Hay dean, can you please do a video of you replacing the seal on your press, please
Got to hope you don't need a press to fix it 😂
Well worth having a look to see what can be done, great.
Next video replacing the seals on the bearing press 👍🏻👍🏻
Exactly, it's getting worst. Makes a mess every time I use it now.
It will be a great video though Dean - seeing you overhaul and clean up the press 👍
Do you need a bearing press to replace the bearings of a bearing press? 😂
Love how u get pissed off people telling you porkies but brilliant video as always some transformation mate 😊

I reckon you’ve got a bit of a kick out of fixing that one up Dean! Came up beautifully!!
Now don't leave us hanging. I want to see the video repairing the bearing press' oil seal.
ooh Keep up the Good Work Horse 🍀🍀🙏🙏👍👍
will do
Do you have videos on rebuilding Porter Cable and Makita 4” x 24” belt sanders? I can’t find either.
He did the Makita one try Makita 9401/9402
40eur for a body is just absurd, for comparison a bosch GDS 18v 450 cost 13eur and a makita DTW1002 about 20 eur.
That's milwaikee for you. I was surprized they didn't also include the screws amd charge an extra 15 euro. 😄
the tools costs like 600 eur easy so 40 isn't that much. Bosch tools are worthless
Nice work 👏 👌 👍
great vid. I have a couple of One Key tools & haven't a clue what it does or how to use it
Cool video! Nice one again.
99% of people would have launched that in the bin, well rescued Dean
Love the way makit steps in to try an resuce the yank crap
Proper as usual, nice Job Dean; earned your dinner there.
Nice job... not sure how you removed the bearing but that was awesome.
That was amazing.

@@stupot_64 wrong kill the tool it destroys the tool from working at all
Even the finsh with the white marker, nice one haha!
You are a Genius 🫡
Random question but do you have any preferences between the 12V Bosh or Milwaukee lines?
Milwaikee m12. Thier m12 lone is actually very good.

Bro, one day I decided to clean all my powertools, two days later they were absolutely disgusting. I'm never cleaning them ever again.
Ha, iv done that to. Lesson learned
blasting it would make the repair cost more than a brand new gun with a warranty
@@alexstromberg7696 I know, was me joking.
Hedge trimmer broke today 😢 Makita 18v. Blade doesn’t move but machine runs
Transmission is broken maybe ?
Awesome job , can’t believe the paint pen made an appearance lol 😂
Very cool,thank you Sir
That was a resurrection Well done Dean
That'll buff out.
See you love the Milwaukee!
Lol 😂😂
Thanks!!!
If you give to the people that are not professional, they say , no can’t be repaired , buy a new one .
A W E S O M E !!! Cheers !!!
The ultimate resurrection 😂👍
Tool got ran over by a truck.
Costumer: yeah, i think my cat stepped on it
👍👍molto bello grazie ciao
"will it live Oracle, can it be saved?"
Anyone know what the two sprays are that Dean used to clean and lubricate the switch ?
contact cleaner, then silicone spray
@@markywilba Thanks Marky, appreciated, search brings up WD Specialist brand for both, this stuff ok ?, or is there a better option ?
As long as they say contact cleaner and silicon spray your good. It dosnet matter what brand
@@deandohertygreaser Bless you sir, thank you for taking the time to reply and for passing on your wisdom :)
When it comes with a box of parts we call that a basket case.
I am interested in the origins of the nut gun moniker
my inner monk would have forced me to sandblast and cold blue the gear box housing xDDD

Jeez, has a car driven over it!!
Back into milwaukee i thought u not touching them 😂
I still look at milwaukees, but I don't like to see them coming in. It's hilti and Panasonic tools that I no longer take in.
Nut gun repair costs akin to buying printer cartridges…. Think the manufacturer is talking the pi55…
I'm no Milwaukee fan, actually hate those over priced tools, but as for you saving that one, fantastic job. Another tool saved from the scrap heep
Absolute resurectionist.
They need to make them from metal.
why not jsut buy a new one the same day? Cant be worth the cost to fix any power tools
Yea, because 300 euro is a lot cheaper than 50 euro. 🙄
@@deandohertygreaser you don’t charge for the work? Also the down time is probably more than 300 euros
How are those plastic pieces that expensive... that's a ripoff man

like new!
Bang on about the bluetooth gimmick its useless
I can lock the tool out, set the torque and different speeds for the 1,2,3,4 buttons it's handy for me :)

hi bro, you don't even know the basics of math,,,, Of course, wouldn't it be right to turn on the power and then assemble it,,,,
no, its a brushless motor. you would damage or destroy if you did that
Ran my makita over with a semi trailer. Scratched the body, no internal damage. Makita all the way
