So glad I saw this. U do sooo good. I'm binge watching your videos. I'm heading to Dallas for a few days and already packed according to all your videos. Thanks and keep up the good work
As an AA woman braids are my go vacay style so I don't need shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer none of that. Hubby doesn't care so whatever shampoo/conditioner available is fine for him. In my bag are contact lens soln, face products, sunscreen, perfume. I travel with stick foundation so that doesn't take up space in the bag. I can get a lot in my toiletry bag!
That’s great! When I was in Africa, my volunteer house mom had me go to the salon with her and learn how to breed! Since I am a hairdresser here in the US. And then they did them on my hair, and it was fantastic how low maintenance they were!
Love this! And I agree - you SHOULDN'T care about your hair if it's just going to get wet anyway (and you definitely shouldn't care what people think about getting lip injections - good for you!). I am in the process of packing for our cruise, and I have SUNSCREEN! Seems like that takes up so much space in my liquids bag, so hubby is carrying 1/2 of that (or more). Also, tinted primer, tiny little eye shadow palette, Gimme Brow, mascara, toothpaste, moisturizer in a contact case, hand lotion, body lotion, and some Collen Rothschild styling cream. Then for dry stuff, bronzer, pressed powder, Gemz (yes!!!) shampoo & conditioner, Tula makeup melt stick, makeup brushes, makeup remover cloth, hair clips, and lip balm. Hair brush and curling iron will go wherever there's room. Liquids will go in my backpack, even though we have Global Entry. Thanks for another great video! You have great ideas!!
Yay! Great list! Have so much fun! I think on my cruise, I might buy a big sunscreen for the 10 days when I’m there so I don’t have to pack several in my liquids bag!
@@ItsTheKellys You are so right, and I've done that before, too. However, I am feeling frugal, have way too much sunscreen (and in small enough tubes) that I don't want to buy it on the ship or in port. No time before boarding to get some for cheaper. Ugh. It's a struggle. If it fits ok, I'll bring it. Or some of it. We can find more at every port.
@@ItsTheKellys 5 days! I would love to do that! We arrive really late the night before the cruise this time (barring any flight cancellations), and a 10:00-10:30am window for embarkation. We're headed to Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, Aruba, and Bonaire. Gimme that salt water and sunshine!
@@susandiekmann oooh! I love all of those places! Bonaire- try to go to Klein island if it’s available to snorkel. Most gorgeous beach ever and there is a reef surrounding it!
I use a lot of the same toiletries love Tula products can't live without my sensodyne toothpaste my teeth are extremely sensitive from year's of grinding. I use to bring way to much in toiletries makeup never used the majority of it I pack very little now hardly any makeup gotta try the Gemz products very convenient
I just found your channel and it is very informative. I'm learning to pack lighter and rnjoyed your tips about the liquids bag. Could you please evaluate the Bento 3.0 bag? I'm considering it as my personal bag and it has a special area for/and comes with a 1 qrt liquids bag.
Thank you Sharon. I’ve reached out to them several times to try to snag a bag to review! I’m dying to try it. There is also a cheaper dupe on Amazon I’m interested in!
I never bring a hairdryer either and was so surprised that you would bring a flatiron, especially when it requires a converter, and you need a hat at your destination.
I bring a flat iron to curl my hair. I just always have it with me on trips, since I do air dry, to give it texture or a look, but this trip it wasn’t super necessary. It’s skinny and barely takes up space :)
Hey girl. Your link for the gemz website isn't working. They said that they are temporarily out of stock as they are trying to revamp their product line. Just FYI
Hi Emily! I’ve never put lipstick or mascara in my liquids bag. There was a sign at one European airport that says they count as liquids, but I didn’t make the switch and was ok, and not flagged :) good question though!
@@ItsTheKellys Thanks Lauren. I guess it’s like a lot of other things….it depends on the screener. What cruise are you going on next year? We’re doing a NCL to the southern Caribbean in March and will be our first carry-on only trip 🤞🏻
Question for that shampoo and conditioner. Do you have thick hair and if so or if not , are those Lil ones sold as a packs or can you pick as many as you need of one ?
Hi Jasmine, yes I have extremely extremely thick hair, plus extensions and depending on how dirty it is, I might use two. This video I only used one shampoo, but two conditioners. There are several packs to choose from. I have done the 20 pack and the 40 pack, or order specific ones for your hair type. Very true. We have 5 days before ours in port so it’s easier for us :) where is your cruise headed?

One question! I’m packing carry on and personal for a ✈️ Can I refuse to check my carryon if they ask?
If they make you gate check it because there is no overhead space, you can’t really say no.

Ok, thanks 😋
ty (again) for telling us about Gemz hair products .. they are great for travel!
You’re welcome! They are the best!!
Love this video! I include a miniature bottle of rum in my carry on liquids bag! 🤗
Oh yeah I’ve done that! Just don’t drink it in the air or it’s a hugeeeeee fine haha
This is so relaxing

Yeah they did that and haven’t been back for over a year :-/
What under eye cream do you use?
When I’m at home, I use one from alastin. If I bring one with me while I travel, I bring something smaller and cheaper, random from Sephora.
I MISS GEMS!!!!!
Me too 😔
I adore your videos. Please clarify some confusing info I’ve read…… is mascara a liquid? I’m assuming your liquid lipstick was in your liquids bag.
