      Yes, I have been to so many concerts & performances. Rock, pop, country, musicals & ballet, even other K-pop concerts, & I have NEVER experience anything like the BTS concerts I have been to. Even their shows in 2014 were fantastic, but they have grown & perfected them to a level that is awe inspiring. The atmosphere is contagious, the lights, lasers, & fireworks keep it so energetic, & the guys’ ability to engage the audience… Ur gonna love it as much as ur daughter.

    Fun facts: BigHit releases dance practices because during their earlier days, BTS performances was either cut short or the camera works does not do justice to their performances.
    Well, ppl might says gen4 gps dances better than BTS but if you look back at their earlier performances, they have done that. As BTS mature as an artist so is the genre of their music and their dancing skills.
    As you know BTS music evolves from their experiences that’s why earlier days their songs are more aggressive.

    • @CheerUp2
      @CheerUp2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      YES One of the ones that they watched was called "Very Good Camera" because they were on a music show and they botched the camera work and basically you didnt get the full impact of the dance and they were really proud of it. So they kinda were sassy and said now THIS is good camera work, hence the name Very good camera XD I remember when i watched the live performance I was like "wow that was bad" and then a little while after BTS uploaded this and I was like oh shitttttt, it was hilarious

    • @MarinaEariel
      @MarinaEariel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@afbf613 no, dance practices were a common thing before them, both from artists from other indie/minor agencies (which did it because of the same cause as BigHit) and from the then Big 3 (who did it because they couldn't be less than the others). The thing BTS added were the performance videos based on their own performances on festivals or award shows, and the "official fancams" (to give a name to the fixed camera videos of the actual performances)

    Maybe newer people don't know it but BTS has always slayed. They're all rounders and the fact that you couldn't tell who had been dancing for years and who hadn't man. Never forget BTS are amazing from the choreography, to the actual music to their visuals, vocals etc. Also I'm impressed at how BTS continue to evolve in all ways possible. They're in a league all their own. They literally lived it Blood Sweat and Tears, they left it all on the floor they deserve all the success and then some.

    BTS is not just any group from Korea, BTS is a complete group, they are not a bunch of pretty boys, they are involved in their music, they compose and produce, they sing live while doing high impact choreography.
    This is exactly what we mean when we refer to BTS as a QUALITY group that is also able to deliver albums with different genres, without sounding the same or repetitive.

    Jungkook is the main vocalist, lead dancer , sub rapper and the only vocalist who raps on tracks really, and he is the official center of bts and has been all of these things since debut even though he is the youngest and 2-5 years younger than the others. He is called the golden maknae for a reason lol they’re all multitalented absolutely…. Jk just excels at everything… he’s not good at everything… he’s amazing at everything.. and he won’t put something down until he figures it out and not just do it… but won’t stop until he does well. He tends to start everything at a higher level than generally people do… it’s what the boys always say about him and Suga, rm, jimin , v have all said that he is the “most talented person” they have ever met…. Which are huge praises from people who know the group the best.’since he’s the official center he will almost always be in the center in the front or in the front of someone else is singing but there are times where they all take center spot too… it’s just predominantly jk bc as the main vocalist, lead dancer and sub rapper… he has a lot of parts

    @Higher Faculty, in the K-pop industry the trainees can go up to seven years before they even debut into A K-pop group for example YeonJun of tomorrow x together (TXT) I believe has one of the longest training periods in K-pop i’ve seven years!! It’s a difficult procedure that they have to go through not only do they have to sing, dance, rap they have to have good social skills! You can say it’s muscle memory you do it for such a long period of time it becomes a continuous trigger every time you train and the music starts you automatically click on a switch in your brain to get you to move your body to the specific choreography! Unfortunately only 5% of the trainees make it through to the final level. Jimin of BTS he had some difficult times during his training time, He had also the shortest training of The BTS members about six months! But you would never of know that he had the shortest training because of his incredible flexibility and artistic movement from his contemporary dance days. J- hope is a street dancer he has flexibility wonderful body control and his memory is 100% the best out of the group when it comes to doing the choreography so therefore I believe that he does a lot of the assisting with the choreography with the main choreographer to BTS dance performances! Even though they both come from different backgrounds of dancing for instance J hope is more of a street Pop-lock, hip-hop dancer and Jimin is more of a contemporary and ballet dancing but he can also do a lot of pop locking and hip-hop dancing as well. J-Hope occasionally uploads on his V live doing his dance routines free styling which is amazing! Jin, Suga, And RM were the most least experienced and I believe had the most difficult times in the training of choreography but you could never tell that now! And Jungkook he’s just the golden maknae RM who gave him that title meaning he is the youngest but he is the golden of the group because whatever he touches turns to gold that means he can just do anything incredible vocals, great choreography of dancing, he even is what you consider a sub rapper because in the earlier days he used to wrap with BTS on their earlier tracks which you guys already know! BTS are at the top of the game for a reason seven talented phenomenal human beings that bring everything to the table! Thanks for your reacting to this, I really enjoyed this! BoraHae!💜✌️

    J-hope is a very talented dancer. Not all dancers can do any dance style and J-hope is an example of an exceptional performer. You don't need to be a dance expert to see how gifted he is. He doesn't get much attention on MVs because we all know how hell-bent koreans are about idols' looks, he is not what they consider visual. So, that's why he is not promoted as much and often positioned at the back or the side lane.

    There's that thing called Muscle Memory.
    Muscle memory is "the act of committing a specific motor task into memory through repetition. While your muscles themselves can't actually remember anything, they are full of neurons attached to your nervous system that play a role in motor learning".
    They praticed sooooo many hours per day for so long and they know each other so well that it becomes "organic". 😉

    When I first started watching BTS videos, it was all new because U.S. artists videos were all about wearing big gold chains and twerking around a pool. Dozens of videos like that. BTS has introduce not just U.S. stars, Koreans and others to their brand of storied choreography. Now, finally U.S. Acts are starting to create great videos to go along with the music. Most U.S. artists background dancers are still carrying most of the load but their are a few such as Usher that are also dancing & singing.

  • @anlicsceadu

    Remembering choreography isn't actually that bad. You start out by breaking down and memorizing the steps, and then you run it a bunch of times (repetition) to get the muscle memory down. By the time you get to a stage, your body knows what it's doing. I did full length professional ballets back in my younger years, and I never even actively thought about the steps on stage. The human body is an amazing tool! Especially when it's something you're used to utilizing, muscle memory will take over and do most of the work for you. It's like driving a car or riding a bike. I just moved to Japan from the USA, and they drive on the left side of the road here. I never realized how much muscle memory goes into driving, until I started turning on the wiper blades every single time I go for the blinker or feeling lost when looking for the rear-view mirror. I had to retrain my body. Same for riding a bike, after doing it for a while, you don't even think about where to shift your weight or how to turn the peddles. Same concept, just a little more complicated. :-)

    BTS hands down had the hardest hittin choreography's in k-pop during and after their rookie days. I've been a fan of k-pop since '09 mostly bcs of Big Bang, my family and I went to kcon LA in 2014 to support GD and that's when we discovered BTS. My family and I are heavily involved in street dance tournaments in and around Cali, so when we found out that BTS just debuted a yr before we were blown away by how professional they were, they acted like they owned the stage and even tho they were the opening act, they were the most entertaining act despite big name artists that performed later that night. BTS's choreo, live singing and rapping turned a lot of people that were there into fans and I will never forget how hungry rookie BTS looked up on that stage, they were there to make a statement and the crowd couldn't get enough of it.

No shade to other groups but this group has it all and that is why they are where they are today. I love them and their talent They are next level and cannot be compared to any other groups they are the pinnacle. J-Hope is their dance captain, king of hip hop, but Jimin is their contemporary dancer so two different styles. V is now officially part of the dance line and has his own unique style. JK is the other member of the dance line and has a dance style closer to Hobi's. That makes it sound likes he's and 'also ran' but in fact he is amazing and as their centre he has a lot of dancing to do in the spotlight. He's even done a pas de deux with Jimin in one version of Black Swan. JIn, RM and SUGA would have you believe that they can't dance but the evidence shows otherwise. SUGA has fun little dances he does when he's happy.

    Their choreography may look easy the way they perform but their practice in the beginning could last from 12 to 16 hours at a time. JHope was a street dancer since he was 8 yrs old & won quite a number of competitions. He is the dance leader, learns fast & teaches the others along with their choreography instructor. They all have their own unique styles. JHope, Jimin, Jungkook & V make up the official dance line. You should watch more of their choreography practices.

    About your question about American artists having this level of choreography, the bottom line is that there are none that integrate this level of choreo (physicality, complex formations, technique, matching to the beat) into their live performances. What BTS does is like dance competition level choreo or one step down from dance competition choreo.
    As some say, Beyonce and Chris Brown may be the last of these types of artists that do respectable choreos and even then, their choreos simply do not compare to what BTS does. As far as dance skills go, Chris Brown is the only artist that can dance as well as BTS (sorry Usher, all you do is copy Mike and bring nothing new to the table). He's a phenomenal dancer but obviously people don't give him credit due to his past actions.

    This is pretty much a chronological view of their dance breaks so when you watched the first one it was when they were very young and in fact the youngest was still in school. About remembering the choriography remember when you were in school you might have been in football so I am sure you remember the bands when you listen to different music they remember the steps as they hear the different sounds. So that is how they remember the music its not 1,2,3 for them its Do, Rei, Mi.

    My brother just recently made fun of me for STILL liking BTS because I’m a grown ass woman. I have tried to explain that watching BTS is like watching a painting come to life: the rapline is worth following, the vocal line is worth following, them as a dance crew alone is worth following. But he won’t watch or listen to anything that I send him. He prefers to just listen to uninformed talking points. :( Lets end on a positive note...Jhope is my guy, too. :)

    Gentlemen: The military/sailor performance/routine you liked and wanted to know about can be reviewed here: th-cam.com/video/S1Up-ZzHmuw/w-d-xo.html
    It`s from 2015. The story behind it is basically BTS performed on a music competition show. Back then, they were disrespected by shows because they came from a small (and almost bankrupt record company -Big Hit). During the performance, the camera folks showed more of the audience than BTS. Big Hit got angry with the disrespect towards the BTS men. Big Hit decided to respond by producing and posting a video showing the difference between "very good camera", "good camera" by average camera people and the last version which showcases how that show camera work was (crap). They were savage. The song they are performing to is Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle) by Limp Bizkit. The rewind you see the BTS do in their performance is REAL. They actually do reverse their steps to make it appear a full rewind.

Uh okay lol they also put the not today regular choreo instead of that gorgeous whimsical intro to that performance… it’s like they left stuff out on purpose or something and that’s just sad there’s so much they didn’t bother adding lol

    Sure there are a handful of American artists who can dance but the last time there were big dance productions - REAL shows - was back in the day with MJ. Janet J. And Prince. Bts is the best group…and the best dance group in the world. But KPop in general makes Western music and dance look lazy.

    • @kunikuzushis
      @kunikuzushis 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Maybe recently because their newer choreo (Dynamite, PTD, Butter) are more relaxed and less about the execution and more about the vibe/feeling but they are not lacking in synchronization when they need to be.

      @@chynchyn159 I tink she is saying compared to other groups, like Seventeen, NCT, etc. BTS are very very synchronized but there are groups that are a tinge better when it comes to dancing. Saying they arent the best of the best isnt an insult or saying they arent good.
