Try version 2.5.3.. I guess these latest versions are available as installers and not the whole software package & that might be causing the issue. If you check version 2.5.3, it’ll be available as a whole software package, try it and let me know.

You're welcome. Yes you need to uninstall the updated version first but please note that if you were working on any projects in the updated version, you won't be able to open them in this older version.

Oh.. that’s one more issue with downgrading to the older version.. if you are working on any projects in the latest version of capcut and you downgrade to the older version, those projects won’t work in the older version. It’s better you try any one of the latest versions of capcut which has less pro features like 2.5.3

1.4 version does have limited features but if you want to edit simple videos with effects, transitions and filters, you can still do it. I have also tested version 2.5.3 which I think is one of the best versions, it has some pro features but overall it’s worth a try. I don’t usually go with pirated or cracked version, otherwise I would have recommended it..

The only best alternative to capcut is davinci resolve free version but it has a steep learning curve. You can also try Microsoft clipchamp, it’s okay.
