    Ten years in my door handle broke just like yours on my 2001 Tacoma. My fix - baling wire. All you need is about 5 inch length of baling wire. Drill two 1/8 inch holes from the outside handle part through the inside handle part. Run the wire through both holes and twist the wire with your fence pliers. Clip off the excess wire. 13 years later still working great. I left the wire a little long. Makes for a great anti-car jacking device. Anyone trying to grab the handle quickly to jack my car is going to get shredded fingers.

    Nice video. My handle broke yesterday on my 2000 Tacoma.. I was thinking about heading to the junkyards but that looks like a bad plan.

      Lol it’s hard to say. If you can find a nice Toyota one that’s new, that’d be awesome. But they are pricey. Good luck finding a good one, or get good at replacing them occasionally

    I replaced and now a year later I have to replace again. This time spent the $$ on it over 130 bucks. Broke the second time opening the door.

    how do you get the panel off on the rear door?

    • @kingfabandoffroad8203
      @kingfabandoffroad8203  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly never had to do the rear. But likely same process as the front. Should be a couple screws hidden that hold it. And some maneuvering and your in.

      Nope it had never been messed with. Completely stock. Had a few timing belts. New owner still driving it as well to my knowledge.
