This movie came out way too late, because my grandma died last year and she loved Elton John. If this one came out when she was alive she would have been so happy.
sem schoonheim Haven’t listened to David’s music myself, Neither Elton’s until I watched the movie, but I would go see a David movie. That would be cool.
I just took my friend to go see this (it was my second time watching), at that moment I whispered that in her ear and she was silently laughing so hard she was almost crying
This is the version I looked for in the original soundtrack after I saw the movie for the 1st time, and it wasnt there!!!!!! So bad they didnt put this version in the soundtrack
I honestly fell in love with this version on set! And even here they have cut a huge section of this scene out, there was a huge dance break just before the orgy and the music was insane 😍
The fact that the audience gets offended when he forgets which country he is in, but as soon as he starts playing, they forgive him and start screaming again like as if his music is the only important thing instead of him
I wonder why they changed the arrangement for the soundtrack album. They backed way off on the guitar and some of the sound effects. It sounds more like the original recording, but this is more fun.
It's as if they cut the OST in half and replaced it with this starting at 1:19 once he picks up the line "say candy and ronnie" that's where it cuts and is a different recording from the studio version.
I can’t begin to describe how much I love this movie and this scene specifically. Taron is such an amazing actor he wasn’t just playing Elton, he became him. It’s crazy how he can tell a story so well that it feels like you’re right there experiencing all of Eltons emotions alongside him. It’s like he was using every fiber of his being to portray all the heavy mixed feelings of tortured legend. Ugh I just tear up thinking about it because it’s just so crazy that a movie can capture the greatest trials and tribulations of such an incredible man. It’s so personal and beautiful. I didn’t think it was possible to feel so many emotions from watching a movie but it’s so much more than a movie. I just want to hug and thank everyone who made this especially Elton and Taron (well not now because you know, covid) I need to stop because I’m very emotional rn and if I don’t this will turn into a 5000 word essay on why this is the greatest movie of all time :) okay thank you goodbye
I really can´t decide what scene is better than the other because the full movie is a masterpiece. My fav movie of all times was Scareface but Rocketman it's a thousand times better
Paddy Nevs yea it’s sad he was that way at every single one of his concerts before he became sober. And all of it was bc John reed never showed that he loved Elton and his parents were careless and only there for his money. It’s so sad because if I was involved in Eltons life like that I would have loved him and gave him attention
TheReal Doge because he was so sad and on drugs and he wanted to be loved and healthy like everyone else but drugs was the only thing that made him feel good.
TheReal Doge and his mom was only there for his money and basically disowned him and his boyfriend cheated on him the entire time he was with him so he has a right to be upset and sad

I really love this version, I was the original was a bit faster than it is. Like not the speed it is at the end of this one, but the started speed. The OG just sounds too slow now.
I fully agree with you, I can never really listen to the original anymore 😂 only this or the live versions Elton sings as they are all sang in that faster tempo I’m addicted to now
I think "Here's one for all the sober people." was him referencing how he didn't really like Bennie and the Jets that much, and I think he means that he wants to get it over with and, well, "party". Or maybe I'm looking too in to this.
Nie wiem dlaczego ale ten film naprawdę mnie dotknął... uwielbiam wszystkie piosenki w nim zaśpiewane przez Tarona... nie moge przestać słuchać tych piosenek a film poprostu był DOSKONAŁY
A lot of people complain about the whole orgy scene. This movie is portraying Elton John's life, albeit in a fantastical way. He didn't live a PG-13 or G life. Why do you think the movie is rated either 14A or 18A? (I can't remember which one). It's not intended for children.
Elton John and his wardrobe inspired me to create a video game character called the Grand Elton a magician whose Powers come from his own voice his music and his talent became a great inspiration for my character
After a certain point, all you want is an coffee, a cup of water, a shower, and for just one person to be around who doesn’t want to get their fuck stink all over you again.
The only thing that irks me about this version is how it’s not technically “on beat” throughout, since the original (Elton John) is 65 BPM, while this is 88 BPM (approx. 23 beats off).
@@Mal-eg3km This scene took place right after the rocketman scene (the one where he attempted suicide and jumped in the pool and performing at Dodgers stadium) and the plane scene with Bernie talking to Elton and asking him to come with him and take a break from the performing, drugs, and drinking. If you are from England then no this scene was not cut from the movie. This film was mainly filmed in the UK since that is the origin of the movie. The main place that a lot of scenes were cut was in Russia. No scenes were cut in the UK. You probably don't remember this scene because you might have went to the bathroom, was talking to someone, or didn't really paid attention to the scene.
That entrance into club is epic!
Only Elton can make them epic

It will be quite awkward if you think about it.
I mean the club music kicks in after the song and then mix of piano, beats and silences.
