Merry Christmas Nathan and happy new year brother. I honestly didn't ask for anything. I get so much through the year. But I got a Shimano reel, and a titanium chain. That's it. It was a great Christmas
You did a nice job here, however: you stated two companies were from Mexico. It would be hard to believe they are getting superior wood. Two bat manufactures in California their wood was so-so. Also as an old-timer I cannot stomach cupped bats.
Insider tip.... There are only around 4-5 wood bat billet suppliers in north America. The Mexican companies are getting their billets from those same factories as everyone else. Cupping does nothing for the sweet spot but only adds a little bit of MOI towards the end of the bat.
I agree. Hate to see the cup in the bat. Destroys the integrity of the tip of the bat. Chips, dries out and cracks open, and not weather sealed like rest of barrel
Just give us a try… no need to hesitate, they (we) are getting the wood the same way as any US manufacturer, the added bonus is no mass production or product placement in retail stores using economy grade wood…. Cupping couldn’t agree more !
