Don't worry about being too chatty! You are one of the few refinishers who does explain what you are doing. It is a valuable teaching/learning tool! This one was pretty straight forward, but others help immensely when you explain what and why you are doing. Thanks for being you!

@Transcend Furniture Gallery Odies (if I'm spelling that right) do sponsor TH-camrs I think. The Samurai Carpenter mentions them as a sponsor because he's totally won over to their product range.
I know asking direct is maybe not everyone's thing, so maybe a passing superfan of yours will mention you to them.

To have a solid wood piece of a furniture is to be very wise. They are to be cherished. Thank you Angie for knowing how wonderful that type of furniture is--and knowing how to rejuvenate it and take care of it. That new owner will use the dresser and chest of drawers for the rest of her life, and hopefully keep them in her family.

When you said Stickley, I fell in love. It's my favorite furniture maker; I have a king bed in solid oak from their mission collection. I also have my parents' solid cherry high boy and low boy dressers that they bought in 1942 when they married, with the original finish. They need to be redone, but I don't have the equipment, money, or space to do it. So when I learned you were going to do a solid cherry Stickley dresser, I was in heaven. The finished dresser is dreamy gorgeous. I'm so glad that you didn't paint any of it. The wood speaks for itself. Lovely job!

2:15 I love love love seeing the panels in between each layer of drawers. I was always told this is one of the hallmarks of better furniture. If anyone is in a thrift store or picking up furniture from an online seller and they find panels between the drawers up and down, they have a well-made piece of furniture no matter the manufacturer. Stickley is definitely that! Great work on this gorgeous old dresser!

I loved that, when you started using the brush to scrub off the finish, I said to myself, "she should mention that the brush has nylon bristles and not metal." A half second later, text popped up on the screen that mentioned the nylon bristles. You consistently cover such bases in your videos, and while sometimes one would consider some snippets as common sense, it isn't always the case. 🙂

I think this video was a really good idea for you to make because it shows just how much better a different finish can make on a piece. I own a quality dresser that isn't in bad shape in any way, but it's boring and old fashioned looking. It's not antique, it's vintage though. I like it but I don't love it. I didn't want to paint it and I didn't see a reason to refinish it before, but now I see what's possible. I love this new updated look. I agree I would have changed out the hardware for myself as well. What you've done to enhance the wood is so gorgeous it makes a lot of sense to refinish a piece like that. Also I love the bunny break. They are so cute. I didn't know bunnies needed rescuing or that there were people who took on fostering them. I think I could be a foster person or even a bunny owner. They're adorable. I love what Odie's Oil does to enhance the entire piece. Thanks for letting us see one of your 'boring' refinishing jobs!

Three years ago, I stripped a battered mahogany finish off a small cherry table from the 1950s. I put a clear coat on it, and it has continued to darken naturally over time, from a funky white-orange to a rich russet-orange. I could watch it darken in the moments after sanding--wild. I love it in my white Scandi living room. Painting over beautiful wood grain is the last resort before the trash.

I know refinishing a dresser in decent shape is small potatoes as far as your talents are concerned but I loved watching this. The more natural finish for the cherry wood gave the piece the perfect update. I could smell the Odie's! What a gorgeous refinish! I sometimes feel that when we tend toward paint we forget how pretty wood is and we cover up the beauty that is already there because we're thinking about colors and not what's actually best for the piece. You saw the beauty in the wood and nailed the finish on this one. I don't even like those drawer-pulls but painting them black was what they needed. Really pretty, I love this!
