considering the games sprites were digitized animations drawn by actual Disney artists that worked on movies like Aladdin and The little mermaid...I'd say yes, this is pretty much art
i felt really uncomfortable looking at those things on the side that move around, they just felt like a weird part of the body Edit: so I just learned that those things are called villi, it's in the name.
As much as I hate the level, I couldn't help, but be enticed by its amazing visuals for a Genesis. I mean how was the Mode 7-like background and building scrolling even achieved?!
As the sheep touches the wall and Jim is hit by it at the same time, it causes Jim to be sent downwards into the wall. It's not a precise trick but you only get one chance to do it
when i was a kid (about 2004) i accidentally pushed a power unit and got OOB and free flight in the first stage and i could repeat this thing. I dunno can TAS do the same shit ha-ha-ha. But it needs to be checked on SEGA play station
A TAS for the SNES version would be overall slower except for Villi People, which is faster due to the first wall clip being done sooner. Unlike the Genesis version, each level title screen can't be skipped so it accumulates throughout. While I wouldn't mind working on it, it'll be down the line when my other TAS projects are done.
Noname I spent a lot of time and research into seeing what is optimal for each puppy love level. There's still a little bit of time to save that I need to work on soon.
Good question, I drop certain puppies so that the intervals go faster, same with taking damage from Peter. Certain intervals change depending on RNG and some are always the same. Basically, Puppy Love 1 round 3 and Puppy Love 2 and 3 are RNG hell.
@@Amarillo I see! I actually had no idea the patterns were RNG-generated, but I was always too busy running around with my hair on fire to notice as a kid, lol. So those three are just coded to be RNG hell, huh? Understandable. Thank you for the explanation, it was the one thing this whole mind-blowing run that I couldn't wrap my head around!
No worries, it's not something regular players would think about since those levels are a big lull in the game. Thank you for enjoying the TAS, it was both fun and insane to do

When you realize half of this game is everyone's least favorite chore-levels, Puppy Love.
At least the Andy Asteroid levels from EWJ1 had more levels per intermission than the Puppy Love levels which has only 3.
